Rodriguez Cigars isn't a brand I'm all too familiar with, but when I saw the Series 84 Maduro Torpedo in my subscription box from CigarClub.com, I was pretty excited to smoke it.00:00 Intro01:15 Welcome03:14 First Impressions04:01 Cigar Specs05:52 Smoking07:36 Final Thoughts09:28 CigarScore Reveal09:48 OutroCheck out CigarClub: https://click.cigarscore.com/cslp-cigarclubAs soon as I freed the cigar from the cellophane, I could immediately smell something amazing. The aroma of the Rodriguez Series 84 Maduro Torpedo was of leather and rich tobacco, and I was immediately impressed. After cutting the torpedo end, the draw was perfect. The flavors of the cold draw were reminiscent of whiskey or bourbon. And, after torching the end, the smell of the smoke was quite fantastic. Other than the crack in the wrapper, this cigar had great construction. Regarding the flavors, I was also surprised at how well this cigar pairs with coffee, after every puff, I could really taste the chocolate notes in my Pinon Coffee. My main complaint about this cigar is that it didn't last long enough. You should be able to enjoy a cigar of this size for about 90 minutes, but this cigar only lasted for about 60. I wish I'd been able to smoke it for longer. The Oliva Serie V Double Toro is a cigar my father-in-law has been smoking for years and one that he swears by. And, since I frequently see them on Famous Smoke at 40% off, I bought box when I saw them on sale. So today, instead of just relying on the word of a friend, I thought we'd put the Oliva Serie V Double Toro to the test!00:00 Intro00:09 Welcome02:26 First Impressions04:02 Cigar Specs04:57 Smoking07:32 Final Thoughts09:06 OutroAfter using my v-cutter to snip the end, I found that I had a fairly tight draw. Regarding the flavors, the Serie V is undeniably Nicaraguan, but the Ecuadorian Habano wrapper adds some spice. However, the spice I get from these cigars like cinnamon, not peppers, so it's a nice combination of sweetness and spice. Additionally, I get notes of leather and other earthy flavors.CigarScore Merch!: https://click.cigarscore.com/merchytUse coupon code CIGARSCORETV to get 15% OFF!Brand: OlivaLine: Serie VSize: 6 x 60Cut: Double V-CutLight: TorchPrice: $11.25Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano Sun GrownBinder: NicaraguaFiller: NicaraguaSmoke Time: 105 minutesBuy This Cigar: https://click.cigarscore.com/fs-oliva-serievThrough the first third of the Oliva Serie V Double Toro, I had a tight draw that I didn't like. To fix it, I used my guillotine cutter to try and open up the smoke, but my efforts failed. It looks like I'm going to have to suffer through a tight-ish draw.Final Thoughts:While this wasn't as good as the Oliva Serie V Double Toros I've had in the past, this one was still pretty good. Other than the disappointing draw, this cigar lived up to expectations (and past experiences) in every way.The Serie V has rich flavors of cinnamon and other spices that are balanced with earthy flavors that make up a really nice smoke. The Punch Chop Suey is kind of an ugly cigar. Not much attention was paid to making this lancero look perfect, but hopefully, what the Chop Suey lacks in appearance (due to the inch and a half long shaggy foot), the cigar can make up for in flavor! After using the v-cut (a.k.a "notch cut") to open up the cigar, the draw was a smidge tight. On the cold draw, I could taste tobacco that seemed a little green and under-aged.However, after torching the end, I could taste leather and cedar. The burn could have been better, but I didn't have to relight the cigar.Final Thoughts:While this cigar has a funny name and questionable construction quality, at the end of the day, the Punch Chop Suey is just an "okay" cigar. For the entire smoke, the draw was annoyingly tight, and, toward the end, the flavors toward became a little harsh. But, the stick I smoked had a decent burn.Although the Chop Suey isn't a bad cigar, it's not a great cigar either. The Oliva Serie V Melanio Robusto should be a true, luxury smoke. After all, it's a blend that won some "Cigar of the Year" awards a few years ago.The version of this cigar with the natural wrapper (as opposed to the Melanio Maduro) has a Nicaraguan binder and filler underneath an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper that's marbled and quite attractive. After punching the end, the draw is impeccable. The flavors on the cold draw are grassy. It's worth noting that I've had some Oliva Serie V Melanios that had flavors of chocolate and caramel, while others have been mediocre in flavor. Consistency seems to be an issue with these cigars, and I plan on letting most of the ones I have left age for at least a couple of years.CigarScore Merch!: https://click.cigarscore.com/merchytUse coupon code CIGARSCORETV to get 15% OFF!Brand: OlivaLine: Serie V, Melanio NaturalSize: 5 x 52Cut: PunchLight: TorchPrice: $10.60Wrapper: Ecuadorian SumatraBinder: NicaraguaFiller: NicaraguaBuy This Cigar: https://click.cigarscore.com/fs-oliva-serievmelanioWhereas the first third of the cigar had flavors that were just okay, the middle third is where the robusto started to shine. It was at about the halfway point where I started to get flavors of cream and caramel, even if they were just faint traces.Final Thoughts:I'm a little conflicted with this cigar because I know what amazing flavors of caramel, cocoa, coffee, and vanilla the Melanio blend can deliver. I've had it on the Churchill vitola, but, I didn't have it today. However, the Oliva Serie V Melanio Robusto that I reviewed today doesn't quite live up to what I know a Melanio can deliver. This robusto's draw was great, the flavors were good, and I had an even burn the entire time, but... I know it can do better. The first third of the cigar was not as good as the middle and final thirds, which are where the draw opened up and the flavors improved.Overall, this Oliva Serie V Melanio Robusto was pretty dang good, but not perfect, so it earns a CigarScore 4.#CigarScoreTV #Oliva:::::Find & Rate Where to Smoke Cigars at https://www.cigarscore.comCIGAR DEALS::::::Cigar 5-Packs: https://jo.my/mlunpiCigar 10-Packs: https://jo.my/8kfajfCigar Samplers: https://jo.my/oady8qBoveda Packs: https://jo.my/fbtwzr:::::Get CigarScore Emails - https://www.cigarscore.com/subscribe::::: SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/cigarscoreTwitter: https://www.twitter.com/cigarscoreInstagram: https://Instagram.com/cigarscoreMy Music: https://www.ellorywells.com/soundstripe::::: AFFILIATE DISCLAIMER: Hey, so, some of the links in my videos and descriptions are affiliate links. As soon as I took the Diesel Grind Toro out of the cellophane I'd been keeping it in for the last six months, my first thought was that the cigar smelled a little sweet and a little funky.Upon examining the cigar itself, there was a poorly cut cap and perhaps a water spot on the Nicaraguan Habano wrapper. However, despite having a funky smell to it, during the first fifteen minutes with the Diesel Grind Toro, I'm met with a great draw, a mostly even burn, and flavors that make me think the leaves could benefit from additional aging.CigarScore Merch!: https://click.cigarscore.com/merchytUse coupon code CIGARSCORETV to get 15% OFF!Brand: AJ FernandezLine: Diesel, GrindSize: 6 x 50Cut: GuillotineLight: TorchPrice: $6-7Wrapper: Nicaraguan HabanoBinder: NicaraguaFiller: NicaraguaSmoke Time: 75 minutesShop Diesel Cigars: https://click.cigarscore.com/fs-dieselIn the middle of the cigar, at around the 50-minute mark, the flavors were ok. When it comes to the "classics," what comes to mind? Cars? Movies? For me, "classics" are cigars like the CAO Gold Robusto, a cigar that's been around, and one that helped put CAO on the map back in the 1980s.The CAO Gold has a classic look and feel to it. It's got a Nicaraguan filler with an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper to hold it all in. I'm not sure, but I'd suspect that CAO created this blend long before the Perdomo Champagne or the RoMa Craft EC XVIII were even thought of. And, to me, something that leads to or spawns other somethings is a classic.Regarding the smell of the cigar, before it's even lit, the CAO Gold Robusto smells very leafy. Even after torching the end, the flavors were green and light. My suspicion is that this cigar won't deliver the delicious flavor-punch of the Perdomo or the RoMa Craft mentioned above.Other Cigars Mentioned:Perdomo Champagne: https://www.cigarscore.com/cigar-review-perdomo-champagne-robusto/RoMa Craft Intemperance EC XVIII: https://www.cigarscore.com/cigar-review-roma-craft-intemperance-ec-xviii-brotherly-kindness/FUN FACT: Nick Perdomo made cigars for CAO in 1999 through part of the early 2000s.CigarScore Merch!: https://click.cigarscore.com/merchytUse coupon code CIGARSCORETV to get 15% OFF!Brand: CAOLine: GoldSize: 5 x 50Cut: PunchLight: TorchPrice: $7.09Wrapper: Ecuadorian Connecticut ShadeBinder: NicaraguaFiller: NicaraguaSmoke Time: 45 minutesBuy This Cigar: https://click.cigarscore.com/fs-cao-goldThrough the first third of the CAO Gold, the flavors were very mellow, straight forward, and complex. I received the RoMa Craft CroMagnon Fomorian as a gift from a good friend. I'd seen him smoking this cigar on several occasions, but it always seemed to fall apart on him because of the finicky candela wrapper. However, after receiving the Fomorian as a gift, I thought I'd review it for you.The RoMa Craft CroMagnon Fomorian is Hulk-green and has a unique and weird and interesting Ecuadorian Connecticut Candela leaf as the wrapper. Over the last year or so, we've smoked and reviewed almost every Plasencia cigar we could get our hands on. And today, we're diving into the Plasencia Cosecha 146 La Vega Robusto, a meant to commemorate the 146th crop the Plasencia family planted in Nicaragua. After taking the Cosecha 146 out of the cellophane, I immediately thought the cigar was very well made; it looked amazing. I was also greeted with a very fragrant cigar that smelled of wood and cedar. The v-cut provided a nice draw with a cold draw that might've had a tiny hint of citrus. In the first third, the flavors are spicey with lots of cedar flavors. And, after the cigar heated up, the draw became a little tight.CigarScore Merch!: https://click.cigarscore.com/merchytUse coupon code CIGARSCORETV to get 15% OFF!Brand: PlasenciaLine: Cosecha 146Size: 5 1/4 X 52Cut: V-CutLight: TorchPrice: $12.00 - Good Cigar CoWrapper: Honduran HabanoBinder: NicaraguaFiller: Nicaragua, HondurasSmoke Time: 80 minutesBuy This Cigar: https://click.cigarscore.com/fs-plasencia-cosecha146Final Thoughts:The Plasencia Cosecha 146 La Vega Robusto is a pretty good cigar. The burn was even, but the draw was a little tight.Overall, the flavors were really good. In the final third, the flavors became more smokey and roasted as opposed to the cedar I tasted earlier in the cigar. Adding Candela leaf tobacco to any cigar is always a bold choice. But, that's what Black Works Studio did in today's cigar, the Green Hornet. The Black Works Studio Killer Bee Green Hornet Robusto is just slightly smaller than your traditional robusto. Both its smoking end and its foot have candela tobacco in them, and the green leaf acts as a visual nod to the vitola (size) of the cigar, the Green Hornet. After punching the end and toasting the foot, the draw was very easy, and I was greeted with hints of the grassy-sour candela tobacco. In addition to the candela flavors, I can taste the distinctive tastes of heavily roasted tobacco that is common in cigars from both Black Works Studio and Black Label Trading Co (they're the same company).CigarScore Merch!: https://click.cigarscore.com/merchytUse coupon code CIGARSCORETV to get 15% OFF!Brand: Black Works StudioLine: Green HornetSize: 5 x 48Cut: V-CutLight: TorchPrice: $9Wrapper: Ecuadorian Maduro and Ecuadorian Candela (Double Claro)Binder: Nicaraguan HabanoFiller: NicaraguaSmoke Time: 62 minutesBuy This Cigar: https://click.cigarscore.com/fs-blackworks-killerbeeFinal Thoughts:While I didn't especially like the flavors of the Black Works Studio Killer Bee Green Hornet Robusto, I must admit that the construction quality of this cigar is very high. I didn't experience a single burn issue, and the draw was perfect from the very beginning. The Green Hornet is a very well made cigar. However, I didn't really care for the flavors. As I mentioned before, all Black Works/Black Label cigars tend to have a charred or burned taste to the tobacco. Like Starbucks tends to burn their coffee beans, these two brands tend to burn their tobacco during the fermentation process. The actual process might be different, but the flavors of the end result are the same. Additionally, the candela tobacco's odd flavors complicate the mix.At the end of the day, the Killer Bee Green Hornet is a well-made cigar with flavors that might be right up your alley. When I set out to do a cigar review today, I was somewhat disappointed when I remembered I didn't have a Liga Privada to smoke. However, my sadness was immediately expunged when I saw the Drew Estate Liga Privada Unico Serie Velvet Rat on the shelf of my humidor. Not only is the Velvet Rat a Liga Privada, but it's also a part of the elite Unico Serie that's supposed to be some of the best cigars Drew Estate makes.12:02 - Drew Estate Liga A Review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNLOr3y3HDMThe Liga Privada Unico Serie Velvet Rat is a great, but somewhat rugged-looking, cigar. There were multiple hollow spots that led to a terrible draw and almost no smoke. The entire first half of the Liga Privada Unico Serie Velvet Rat was a bad experience for me. Even the flavors were mediocre, and I could barely tell this was even a distant cousin of a Liga Privada cigar. As disappointing as the first half of the Velvet Rat was, I think I got a lemon.Final Thoughts:The first half of the Drew Estate Liga Privada Unico Serie Velvet Rat I reviewed sucked. It was terrible, and, I hope, a fluke. The second half, however, was not so bad.In the final third of the Velvet Rat, the burn evened up, the draw opened up, and the flavors came back into the realm of what could be expected in a cigar of this brand and at this price point.Overall, the flavors I could get out of this cigar were kind of bland. The cigar was riddled with hollow spots and plagued by a bad draw. Had I not smoked and reviewed other Liga Privada cigars that I enjoyed, based on this stick alone, I'd never come back to the brand. However, I know Drew Estate can make better cigars. I plan on coming back to the Unico Serie Velvet Rat and reviewing it again in a series called "Second Chance Cigar Reviews." The Davidoff Nicaragua Toro should be an excellent cigar. After all, Davidoff is one of the premier brands in the cigar industry. I love it when people ask me to review a cigar. I love it, even more, when someone gives me a cigar to review! And the latter is the case with today's stick, the RoMa Craft Wunderlust Robusto.Typically this cigar is exclusive to the European cigar market, and it's unlikely you'll find it on any shelf in a lounge near you (that is until CigarScore goes international). After giving the end the old snippety-snip, the initial cold draw was practically perfect and the cigar had flavors that were might lighter than the dark, Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper might indicate, also with hints of cedar.Once the RoMa Craft Wunderlust is lit, the cigar provides plenty of smoke, and I expect to thoroughly experience this stick.CigarScore Merch!: https://click.cigarscore.com/merchytUse coupon code CIGARSCORETV to get 15% OFF!Brand: RoMa CraftLine: Wunder|LustSize: 5 x 50Cut: GuillotineLight: TorchPrice: $9.61 USDWrapper: Brazilian Mata FinaBinder: Indonesia BesukiFiller: Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Peru, HondurasSmoke Time: 70 minutesSave 15% on Cigars: 'https://famous-smoke.7eer.net/AD9XKNOTE: It looks like the GPS coordinates 52.197398, 8.591870 found on the Wunderlust's label lead nowhere. Oveja Negra Brands is a company who makes both the Black Works Studio cigars and the Black Label Trading Co cigars. And today, I'm reviewing the Black Works Studio Killer Bee Maduro.I picked up the Killer Bee because it looks cool! Today we're doing something a little different and a whole lot crazy. Today we're doing the first-ever Cigar Battle here on CigarScore, and we're pairing two great cigars together to see which one wins. The contenders are two cigars made exclusively for Stogies World Class Cigars in Houston, Texas. See, the team at Stogies has an affinity for lanceros, so they tasked major cigar brands to make a cigar just for their South-Texas customers. And today we have two of those choice offerings, one from Tatuaje and one from RoMa Craft.Officially, their names are the and the H-Town Tatuaje Exclusive Series Lancero and the H-Town RoMa Craft Neanderthal OM Lancero, but we've shortened those names below and in the video.According to Stogies, the RoMa Craft lancero:"originates in Nicaragua. The strength is best described as Full with a standard shape of Lancero. Binder is Connecticut Broadleaf and wrapper influence is San Andres. Filler comes from Dominican and Nicaragua"And the Tatuaje Lancero:"originates in Nicaragua. The strength is best described as Medium-Full with a standard shape of Lancero. Binder is Nicaraguan and wrapper influence is Ecuador Sumatra. Filler comes from Nicaragua."And both cigars are $10. And today's selection is the RoMa Craft Intemperance Whiskey Rebellion 1794 Bradford, which has a dark, oily, Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. On the cold draw, the flavors were slightly sweet and I tasted what I thought were hints of whiskey, so maybe this "Whiskey Rebellion" cigar was aged in a whiskey barrel. A little further, perhaps after I burned through the hollow spot, the burn became quite uneven.Final Thoughts:Despite my excitement for the RoMa Craft Intemperance Whiskey Rebellion 1794 Bradford, and the sweet aroma it put out, I didn't really care for this cigar. It was plagued with construction issues, a trait not typical of RoMa Craft cigars in my experience. I had to torch the cigar multiple times to get an even burn. That combined with the hole in the middle, and you get a poorly made stick.I may be getting soft in my old age, but I'm going to give the RoMa Craft Intemperance Whiskey Rebellion 1794 Bradford a CigarScore of 3. Perhaps it should've gotten a CigarScore 2, but I may be more forgiving than I used to be. The construction was pretty bad, but you might love these bold, intense, oaky, charred flavors, and really enjoy this blend.#CigarScoreTV:::::Find & Rate Where to Smoke Cigars at https://www.cigarscore.comCIGAR DEALS::::::Cigar 5-Packs: https://jo.my/mlunpiCigar 10-Packs: https://jo.my/8kfajfCigar Samplers: https://jo.my/oady8qBoveda Packs: https://jo.my/fbtwzr:::::Get CigarScore Emails - https://www.cigarscore.com/subscribe::::: SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/cigarscoreTwitter: https://www.twitter.com/cigarscoreInstagram: https://Instagram.com/cigarscore::::: AFFILIATE DISCLAIMER: Hey, so, some of the links in my videos and descriptions are affiliate links. One interesting and cool thing about going to cigar events is that you sometimes get cigars you couldn't get elsewhere. And that's sort of the case with today's cigar, the Nomad Toro by Ezra Zion, a.k.a., the Nomad by Ezra Zion Cigars House Blend, which I got at Underground Cigar Shop's NFG 2020, in Fort Worth, Texas. On the cold draw, the Nomad Toro was so light, I couldn't pick up much flavor. Some cigars are just, well, rare. They're event exclusives or their limited edition or something along those lines. Some cigars you choose; others, you don't. Today I'm smoking the Esteban Carreras Unforgiven Toro Grande, a cigar given to me by a friend. At the request of a viewer on YouTube, user "Don de Puros", today I'm smoking the Trinidad Espiritu Series No. 1 Toro. I think this might be my first-ever Trinidad cigar, and it's visually very impressive. The wrapper leaf looks great and it has some slight texture to it. The Connecticut wrapper isn't as dark as I'd expected, and I especially wasn't expecting the bold flavors I tasted as soon as I lit the cigar. On the cold draw, I tasted burning wood, maybe pine. The draw from the punch is just perfect, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the PSyKO Seven Nicaragua robusto has to offer.CigarScore Merch!: https://click.cigarscore.com/merchytUse coupon code CIGARSCORETV to get 15% OFF!Brand: Ventura Cigar Co.Line: Psyko SevenSize: 5 x 50Cut: PunchLight: TorchPrice: $6.79Wrapper: Nicaraguan Connecticut 2007 Vintage DesfloradaBinder: NicaraguaFiller: NicaraguaSmoke Time: 69 minutesSmoke it w/ me: https://click.cigarscore.com/fs-ventura-psyko7nicaraguaIn the middle third of the cigar, the burn was almost perfect, and the draw was fantastic. Regarding the flavors, the PSyKO Seven Nicaragua is about as classic as they come. On every puff, you'll know you're smoking a Nicaraguan cigar by the delicious combination of both spicey and creamy tasting notes.Final Thoughts:In the final third of the cigar, some of the delicious flavors from the first part of the cigar became harsh and perhaps a little bitter. However, overall, the PSyKO Seven Nicaragua had a nearly perfect burn and perfect draw with a really tasty and delicious beginning and middle. Had that great experience that welcomed me into the cigar been the same experience that bid me farewell, this cigar would've earned a higher score. After trying the Last Call Maduro, I knew I also wanted to try the AJ Fernandez Last Call Habano. This cigar just looks great! The Last Call Habano comes from the AJ Fernandez factory in Nicaragua. It's short and stout, and it's a great looking cigar. Compared to the Maduro, the Habano has a medium-brown wrapper that appears to be very well made. The veins have been pressed, and the closed foot makes this cigar one I'm very excited about.0:36 Last Call Maduro Review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65R_YGIfsUcAfter punching the smoking end, the draw was just a tad tight. Back when we were living in Boston in 2019, I remember grabbing up the C.L.E Prieto. It was so enjoyable. The flavors were unique and the cigar left a lasting impression with me, so much so that it earned a spot in the list of Best Cigars of 2019. So, when I walked into my local lounge and saw the C.L.E. Corojo Robusto on the shelf, I picked it up with excitement!CLE Prieto Review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izn2YgtjWd0On the cold draw, the C.L.E. However, that doesn't mean the C.L.E. Corojo Robusto was without flavor. It wasn't. In fact, this cigar has tons of flavor and lots of spicey notes throughout the entire smoke.Regarding the burn, it was perfect. As was the draw. While I didn't just love the flavors of this cigar, it was extremely well constructed and there was basically nothing to complain about. And, while the blend didn't hit a home run for me, the flavors might be perfect for you. For these reasons, the C.L.E. Not every cigar shop has house blends, but some do. So when Bradley Reith over at Zeal Cigars in Phoenix, Arizona asked me to review some of his house blend cigars, I said, "I'm in!"Today's smoke is a blend Bradley made himself. It's the Zeal Cigars Got Your Six Gordo, and it's a somewhat rustic-looking cigar with a barber pole wrapper made up of three different tobaccos. The initial flavors after cutting are very nice and the draw started off great.CigarScore Merch!: https://click.cigarscore.com/merchytUse coupon code CIGARSCORETV to get 15% OFF!Brand: Zeal Cigars House BlendLine: Got Your SixSize: 6 x 60Cut: GuillotineLight: TorchPrice: $8Wrapper: Cameroon Maduro, Ecuadorian Connecticut, HabanoBinder: Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Peru, HondurasFiller: Dominican RepublicShop Zeal Cigars: https://click.cigarscore.com/zealcigars-gotyoursixFinal Thoughts:Where some house blend cigars leave a lot to be desired, often falling short in areas of flavor, construction quality, premium look and feel, the Zeal Cigars Got Your Six Gordo does not. This cigar stands apart from other non-name-brand sticks. But, does the Got Your Six belong with the premium cigars on the shelf? The first third of the smoke had flavors that were mild to medium, and the flavors from the Habano wrapper seemed to have been muted. That is until the final third which is when the cigar developed a little bit of a kick and the notes of vanilla transition to pepper. However, there were some slight construction issues with the Cameroon and Connecticut wrappers. In the end, I would smoke this cigar again. Thought it had a couple of minor issues (which could also be because of temperature fluctuations in my humidor) the Got Your Six performed well, and it earns a CigarScore 3.#CigarScoreTV #ZealCigars #ZealTeam6:::::Find & Rate Where to Smoke Cigars at https://www.cigarscore.comCIGAR DEALS::::::Cigar 5-Packs: https://jo.my/mlunpiCigar 10-Packs: https://jo.my/8kfajfCigar Samplers: https://jo.my/oady8qBoveda Packs: https://jo.my/fbtwzr:::::Get CigarScore Emails - https://www.cigarscore.com/subscribe::::: SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/cigarscoreTwitter: https://www.twitter.com/cigarscoreInstagram: https://Instagram.com/cigarscore::::: AFFILIATE DISCLAIMER: Hey, so, some of the links in my videos and descriptions are affiliate links. Sometimes a cigar sounds great, but you don't have a lot of time. That's the situation I found myself in the other day when I first found the AJ Fernandez Last Call Maduro.I didn't have my order of CigarScore hoodies in yet, so I didn't have warm clothes for smoking in. So, I found a lounge on CigarScore.com, drove there, and arrived with about 50 minutes left before they closed. When I was about to walk out of the humidor with a bunch of toros to smoke and thinking I might have to toss the final third of a bigger cigar when the shop closed, I saw the Last Call Maduro Geniales - a 4.5" cigar that might be perfect for the time I had. After cutting the cigar, the cold draw was very nice. Its flavors were of pine and an oceany-seaweed; it was very odd. This cigar is YUUUGE! Ok, it's not that big, but this Back2Back Connecticut is a 6 x 60 Toro Gordo of sorts, and it feels like a big, beefy cigar. While punching the cigar, I accidentally knicked the side of the cigar with the bottom of my lighter (the punch is on the bottom). Before releasing in the United States, the Perdomo Factory Tour Blend was previously only available at the Perdomo factory in Nicaragua after you finished, you guessed it, the factory tour. However, the cigar was so successful for the brand that Nick Perdomo and his team decided to bring the cigar to market. So, after hearing about this cigar from the owner of a lounge here locally, I decided to give the Perdomo Factory Tour Blend Maduro Churchill a try.The first few puffs were really delicious. The wrapper was beautiful, and the mixture of Nicaraguan tobaccos lead to expectations of a wonderful cigar. After smoking about the first inch, the wonderful flavors that got the cigar started, began to fade. So, if I can find one, I plan to buy and smoke an epicure (toro) of this same cigar.Because I didn't love the flavors, but because the burn and draw were decent enough, the Perdomo Factory Tour Blend Maduro Churchill earns a CigarScore 3, and I plan on having it again, just in a different size.#CigarScoreTV:::::Find & Rate Where to Smoke Cigarsat https://www.cigarscore.com::::: More Cigar Reviews:CigarScore 5 Cigars (Best): https://www.cigarscore.com/cigar-reviews/cigarscore-5/CigarScore 4 Cigars: https://www.cigarscore.com/cigar-reviews/cigarscore-4/CigarScore 3 Cigars: https://www.cigarscore.com/cigar-reviews/cigarscore-3/CigarScore 2 Cigars: https://www.cigarscore.com/cigar-reviews/cigarscore-2/CigarScore 1 Cigars (Worst): https://www.cigarscore.com/cigar-reviews/cigarscore-1/:::::Where I buy my cigars: https://click.cigarscore.com/famoussmokePremium Cigar Samplers: https://click.cigarscore.com/fs-premiumsamplers:::::Get CigarScore Emails - https://www.cigarscore.com/subscribe::::: SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/cigarscoreTwitter: https://www.twitter.com/cigarscoreInstagram: https://Instagram.com/cigarscore::::: AFFILIATE DISCLAIMER: Hey, so, some of the links in my videos and descriptions are affiliate links. I'm always up for a little friendly competition, so when a friend challenged me to find good cigars under $5, I gladly accepted. To find all cigars under $5 that we've reviewed, click here (NOTE: It's a small list).Today we're reviewing a cigar I used to smoke while in college, the Saint Luis Rey Reserva Especial Rothchilde Maduro. While it's a good looking cigar, it's not a cigar that costs a lot.On the cold draw, the tobacco had flavors that were very green. But the draw was perfect. So, can you find good cigars under $5? Though there were some burn issues, they quickly resolved themselves and evened out without me having to do anything. That said, the flavors are just ok. This cigar doesn't taste like it's been sitting in an aging room and maturing for any length of time. However, the flavors aren't harsh or bitter; they just seem green or immature. The flavors I do get from the cigar are of cedar, perhaps some floral notes, and grass. The aroma is nice, but the flavors just aren't doing it for me.But with a good burn and a great price, the Saint Luis Rey Reserva Especial Rothchilde Maduro earns a CigarScore 4.#CigarScoreTV:::::Find & Rate Where to Smoke Cigarsat https://www.cigarscore.com::::: More Cigar Reviews:CigarScore 5 Cigars (Best): https://www.cigarscore.com/cigar-reviews/cigarscore-5/CigarScore 4 Cigars: https://www.cigarscore.com/cigar-reviews/cigarscore-4/CigarScore 3 Cigars: https://www.cigarscore.com/cigar-reviews/cigarscore-3/CigarScore 2 Cigars: https://www.cigarscore.com/cigar-reviews/cigarscore-2/CigarScore 1 Cigars (Worst): https://www.cigarscore.com/cigar-reviews/cigarscore-1/:::::Where I buy my cigars: https://click.cigarscore.com/famoussmokePremium Cigar Samplers: https://click.cigarscore.com/fs-premiumsamplers:::::Get CigarScore Emails - https://www.cigarscore.com/subscribe::::: SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/cigarscoreTwitter: https://www.twitter.com/cigarscoreInstagram: https://Instagram.com/cigarscore::::: AFFILIATE DISCLAIMER: Hey, so, some of the links in my videos and descriptions are affiliate links. As soon as I took the Atabey Idolos out of the cellophane, I noticed two things. First, it's a tiny cigar. Second, it smells fantastic.Regarding the rest of the cigar, after using my guillotine cutter, the draw was just about perfect. On the cold draw, there was a recognizable taste that my palate couldn't quite place or define, but it was a little bit floral. But, I'm cautiously optimistic about this cigar - it's small, but it does carry a $21 price tag, so this better be good.04:13 - Acid Kuba Arte Review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVJNp1FWmpY05:31 - September LCC Unboxing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaocQ7Fti_Q16:34 - Plasencia Alma Fuerte: https://www.cigarscore.com/cigar-review-plasencia-alma-fuerte-generacion-v/Brand: AtabeyLine: IdolosSize: 4 x 55Cut: GuillotineLight: MatchesPrice: $21 - Luxury Cigar ClubWrapper: UndisclosedBinder: UndisclosedFiller: UndisclosedSmoke Time: 73 minutesGet 15% off Cigars: https://www.cigarscore.com/famousCheck out Luxury Cigar Club at https://www.CigarScore.com/LuxuryCigarClubUse promo code CIGARSCORE to get FREE shipping on your first order.CigarScore Merch!: https://click.cigarscore.com/merchytUse coupon code CIGARSCORETV to get 15% OFF!Final Thoughts:About halfway through the cigar, I was able to peel the label off without any trouble at all. Whereas some companies like to slap tons of glue on the label to hold it on, the paper on the Atabey Idolos came off easily.Regarding the flavors, there was no pepper or any spice, but there were hints of cinnamon, cedar. However, on the retrohale, there was a hint of spice that was pleasant. As far as the construction goes, the Idolos was an incredibly well-made cigar. Although the burn wasn't perfect, I was able to smoke right through any issues that arose and stems that might have been slightly more humid than the rest of the wrapper leaf. However, the flavors of the cigar were just okay. If the cigar tasted as good as it smelled, I'd have scored the Atabey Idolos differently, but they weren't. At the end of the day, the Atabey Idolos is a decent cigar at an absurdly high price point. For these reasons, the Idolos earns a CigarScore 3.#CigarScoreTV #LuxuryCigarClub :::::Find & Rate Where to Smoke Cigarsat https://www.cigarscore.com::::: More Cigar Reviews:CigarScore 5 Cigars (Best): https://www.cigarscore.com/cigar-reviews/cigarscore-5/CigarScore 4 Cigars: https://www.cigarscore.com/cigar-reviews/cigarscore-4/CigarScore 3 Cigars: https://www.cigarscore.com/cigar-reviews/cigarscore-3/CigarScore 2 Cigars: https://www.cigarscore.com/cigar-reviews/cigarscore-2/CigarScore 1 Cigars (Worst): https://www.cigarscore.com/cigar-reviews/cigarscore-1/:::::Where I buy my cigars: https://click.cigarscore.com/famoussmokePremium Cigar Samplers: https://click.cigarscore.com/fs-premiumsamplers:::::Get CigarScore Emails - https://www.cigarscore.com/subscribe::::: SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/cigarscoreTwitter: https://www.twitter.com/cigarscoreInstagram: https://Instagram.com/cigarscore::::: AFFILIATE DISCLAIMER: Hey, so, some of the links in my videos and descriptions are affiliate links. If you've been following CigarScore TV for any amount of time, you know I'm a fan of Fratello Cigars. So, when I had the opportunity to smoke the original cigar made by Omar de Frias, I jumped at the chance. The Fratello Fratello has a dark and rich-looking wrapper. With this blend of tobaccos, I expect this cigar to be medium to full-bodied with a fair amount of complexity and hints of spice.Brand: FratelloLine: FratelloSize: 5 1/2 x 52Cut: PunchLight: TorchPrice: $8.30Wrapper: Nicaraguan HabanoBinder: Ecuadorian SumatraFiller: Nicaragua, PeruBuy this Cigar: https://click.cigarscore.com/fs-frtlo-fratelloFinal Thoughts:After enjoying this cigar, I can see how and why the Fratello Fratello launched a successful brand for Omar de Frias. This cigar is delicious. It's complex. It's bold and spicey. However, if you don't like peppery cigars, you probably won't enjoy this one. But, with that said, the price is right for trying and sampling, even if you're not sure you'd love it, because there was a sweetness to the second half of the cigar that was very nice. There are so many things about this cigar that I really liked and I can't wait to smoke another one. Is Mr. Brownstone Under-Rated?The Esteban Carreras Mr. Brownstone is a new brand and a new cigar for me. But, after hearing good things about the Mr. Brownstone and then seeing it on the shelf at a lounge I found on CigarScore.com, I thought I'd pick it up and give it a try. It's hard work, but somebody's gotta do it!The Mr. Brownstone is packaged in an annoyingly difficult paper wrap, and it just might just take you several minutes to carefully extract the cigar inside. However, after you break a sweat peeling the paper off and you finally get to the cigar, you'll notice leafy aromas that might make you think of fall weather. On the first puffs of the cold draw, I got hints of cinnamon spice. The wrapper is dark and oily with veins that have been well dehydrated and pressed. Other than a somewhat tight burn, the Esteban Carreras Mr. Brownstone is off to a decent start.CigarScore Merch!: https://click.cigarscore.com/merchytUse coupon code CIGARSCORETV to get 15% OFF!Brand: Esteban CarrerasLine: Mr. BrownstoneSize: 6 x 52Cut: PunchLight: TorchPrice: $9.20Wrapper: United States Connecticut Broadleaf MaduroBinder: Ecuadorian HabanoFiller: NicaraguaGet 15% off Cigars: https://www.cigarscore.com/famousFinal Thoughts:About half-way through the cigar, the draw opened up and I was able to really enjoy the flavors of the Mr. Brownstone. In the second half, there were more flavors of pepper and spice, but they weren't overwhelming. Additionally, I noticed hints of cinnamon and ginger. If you don't like any pepper in your cigars, you might want to avoid this one, but those flavors were not too strong. In the end, I enjoyed the Esteban Carreras Mr. Brownstone. The flavors were complex, the price was right, the burn was nearly perfect, and the experience was enjoyable. Cornelius & Anthony cigars are not any with which I'm too familiar. But, they've been around since 1866 (it says so right on the label), so I'm expecting a good smoke today! The Cornelius & Anthony The Gent Robusto is a great looking cigar, but there's a vein running down the wrapper that's cause for concern. After cutting the end, the underlying tobacco looks a little bit green. And, after smoking about a quarter of an inch, an uneven burn started to develop.Let's see how this goes...Brand: Cornelius & AnthonyLine: The GentSize: 5 x 52Cut: GuillotineLight: TorchPrice: $9.68 - Luxury Cigar ClubWrapper: Ecuadorian RosadoBinder: United StatesFiller: Nicaragua, HondurasBuy This Cigar: https://click.cigarscore.com/fs-corneliusanthonyCigarScore Merch!: https://click.cigarscore.com/merchytUse coupon code CIGARSCORETV to get 15% OFF!Final Thoughts:On one hand, the draw on this cigar has been great. However, the bad initial burn only got worse, and it was obvious this cigar wasn't properly dehumidified and aged.Overall, the Cornelius & Anthony The Gent Robusto is just an "okay" cigar with a great draw and a terrible burn. I didn't love the flavors and I didn't think there was anything special about this cigar or the blend. If you're going to spend time and money on a cigar, I want you to love it. Continuing my search for the perfect breakfast cigar, I found myself grabbing the Camacho Connecticut Toro. Camacho is a brand I smoked often in the mid-2000s, but after noticing a fluctuation in quality control, I moved on to other manufacturers. But today, I'm smoking a Camacho I've never tried before. The Camacho Connecticut Toro has an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper and a blend of Honduran and Dominican tobacco inside. Since there are no Nicaraguan leaves inside, I expect this cigar to be mild and smooth, perfect for pairing with my favorite coffee.Brand: CamachoLine: ConnecticutSize: 6 x 50Cut: GuillotineLight: TorchPrice: $8.69]Wrapper: Ecuadorian ConnecticutBinder: Honduran CorojoFiller: Dominican, HonduranBuy this Cigar: https://click.cigarscore.com/fs-camacho-connecticutCigarScore Merch!: https://click.cigarscore.com/merchytUse coupon code CIGARSCORETV to get 15% OFF!Final Thoughts:To be honest, the Camacho Connecticut Toro was a joy to smoke.
