SCRIPTURE: Exodus 1-2 6.7.26 - The Soils That Shape Us (Kenny Camacho) Revolution Church YOU CAN ALSO READ KENNY'S MANUSCRIPT FOR THIS MESSAGE HERE!REFLECTION/DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:The sermon begins by looking at Moses's traumatic origins: he is raised among his people, but moves overnight into the house (and privilege!) of Egyptian royalty. How might this have shaped Moses's sense of identity? How did this divided identity affect Moses's early attempts at heroism? When Moses kills the Egyptian overseer and “chooses his people,” those people don't choose him back! What might this teach us about the difference between well-intentioned action and effective service? Think of a time when you tried to help someone but it didn't go as expected. What did you learn about the importance of understanding a situation fully before jumping in to 'fix' it?What is the difference between Moses's actions at the well and the encounter with the overseer? How can you tell the difference between serving others to meet your own needs (like proving your worth) versus serving others simply because it's the right thing to do?We all have “soil” (meaning: life circumstances, trauma, insecurities, and even privilege) that shapes who we are and how we grow. How might God be working in your life right now to heal your past? How might He be calling you to serve… even as you're still maturing?

Anger Was A Symptom: A Police Chief's Journey Through Trauma, Ego, and Recovery. For many police officers, anger becomes part of the job. Long shifts, traumatic calls, stress, violence, and emotional exhaustion can slowly build over time. But what happens when anger becomes more than frustration? What happens when it begins destroying careers, relationships, leadership, and personal peace? The Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast social media like their Facebook , Instagram , LinkedIn , Medium and other social media platforms. That is exactly what Police Chief Dr. Ron Camacho, our guest, openly discusses in this powerful episode of the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast. The Podcast is available for free on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, also on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, iHeartradio and most major podcast platforms. #Free #Podcast #Radio Now serving as the Police Chief in North Charleston, South Carolina, Dr. Camacho spent decades in law enforcement, rising through the ranks of the York City Police Department in Pennsylvania. Along the way, he discovered something many officers never fully confront: anger was not the root problem. It was only the symptom. Supporting articles about this and much more from Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast in platforms like Medium , Blogspot and Linkedin. Childhood Trauma and Police Stress Collide Dr. Camacho admits that during parts of his police career, he became what he described as a “tyrant” as a supervisor. His anger affected not only his officers, but also his personal life and family relationships. Anger Was A Symptom: A Police Chief's Journey Through Trauma, Ego, and Recovery. Over time, he realized his emotional reactions were deeply connected to unresolved childhood trauma that had been intensified by years of police work. The combination of stress, fear, emotional suppression, and constant exposure to trauma created an emotional pressure cooker. The show is inspiring audiences through the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Apple, Spotify, iHeartradio and and many Podcast platforms. Like many officers, he pushed through it rather than addressing it. Anger became the outward expression of internal pain. Experts often describe anger as a secondary emotion. Underneath anger are frequently deeper emotions such as fear, grief, exhaustion, insecurity, burnout, sadness, or feeling powerless. For police officers, those emotions are often buried beneath a culture that encourages toughness and emotional control. Anger Was A Symptom: A Police Chief's Journey Through Trauma, Ego, and Recovery. The episode is available across major platforms including their website, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, with highlights shared across their Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn profiles. The Hidden Cost of Anger in Law Enforcement Anger itself is not always harmful. In fact, it can be a natural survival response. But unmanaged anger can become destructive. According to the discussion in this episode, anger may show itself through: Emotional outbursts Increased stress Physical tension Damaged relationships Leadership problems Poor decision-making Mental and physical exhaustion The episode also explores how trauma impacts the body physically, including effects on the heart, muscles, hormones, and stress responses. Dr. Camacho explains how recognizing anger as a symptom rather than the true issue became a major turning point in his life and recovery. Learning to “Pause and Trace” One of the key concepts discussed is what many mental health professionals call the “Pause and Trace” method. Instead of reacting emotionally in the moment, individuals learn to stop and identify what is truly happening internally. Anger Was A Symptom: A Police Chief's Journey Through Trauma, Ego, and Recovery. Available for free on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, also on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Youtube and most major Podcast networks. Questions such as: What am I afraid of right now? What emotional need is not being met? What stress or trauma is driving this reaction? These kinds of reflections can help officers, supervisors, and civilians better understand the emotional roots behind anger. For Dr. Camacho, self-awareness became the beginning of healing. A Nationally Recognized Police Leader Beyond his personal journey, Dr. Ron Camacho has built an impressive law enforcement career spanning more than 30 years. He retired as patrol operations captain with the York City Police Department, supervising more than ninety officers and detectives. After retirement, he served internationally as a police advisor in Afghanistan and later worked with the U.S. State Department in Mexico, helping improve policing capabilities at local, state, and federal levels. This compelling conversation is available across Podcast platforms including Apple, Spotify, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn, where social audiences continue engaging with powerful stories about trauma, recovery, and resilience. His work in officer wellness, leadership, transparency, and community engagement has received national recognition from major police publications. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy and holds advanced criminal justice degrees, including a doctorate. Today, he continues mentoring police leaders across the country while advocating for emotional intelligence, healthy leadership, and officer wellness. Anger Was A Symptom: A Police Chief's Journey Through Trauma, Ego, and Recovery. A Different Kind of Conversation About Police Work This episode of the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast offers something many listeners rarely hear from law enforcement leaders: honesty about emotional struggles, trauma, ego, anger, and recovery. It is a reminder that behind every badge is a human being carrying experiences that can shape behavior in powerful ways. The Podcast is available for free on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, also on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, iHeartradio and most major podcast platforms. What led you to feel this way? How does this sort of outrage compare to the way Jesus lived and responded to injustices in his world? In Matthew 11:3-6, John the Baptist asks if Jesus is really the Messiah because Jesus wasn't acting like the warrior king everyone expected. What was Jesus's answer? Why do you think he focused on individual healing rather than top-down political change?Think about the “strings” Kenny mentioned: your connections to family, neighbors, friends, coworkers. How could focusing on serving these specific people in your life create real change… even if it seems small compared to big world problems? We need to remove other “yokes” before we can really wear the “yoke” of Jesus! What are some examples of heavy burdens people carry… that might not really be theirs?Kenny suggested that one reason it's hard to trust the “yoke” of Jesus is that it often doesn't feel heavy enough. Did that statement make sense to you? Have you ever felt this way? What holds you back from experiencing more joy in your own life? If you were sitting down with Jesus face-to-face, what do you think he would tell you about this? Is it really possible for you to put down some of the burdens you carry… and see the disciplines of the Christian life as a privilege instead of an obligation?

One day you're an educator or clinician, and the next day you're responsible for staffing, budgets, accreditation prep, outcomes, and the long list of “Can you also…?” requests that land on a simulation program. We sit down with two leaders who have lived that reality and built thriving programs anyway: Dawn Swiderski, Associate Vice President of Simulation Services at the Carolina Simulation Center at Atrium Health (now Advocate Health), and Cheryl Camacho, Director of Simulation and Outreach at Nationwide Children's Hospital. We dig into the shift from the SSH Directors Section to the Simulation Program Leadership Section and why that change is more than a rebrand. It's a move toward inclusion for people leading without the “director” label, whether you're new to simulation, stepping into management unexpectedly, or guiding a program through influence instead of authority. Dawn and Cheryl share how they listen to member feedback and turn it into practical support that actually matches what leaders need in the moment. You'll also get a clear tour of what's available through SimConnect: quarterly webinars, section meetings, and the highly popular couch conversations where members bring burning questions like simulation ROI, accreditation, costing models, policies, staffing allocation, and how to prove value with metrics and KPIs (including examples like Power BI). We talk about the underused SimConnect library filled with templates, forms, job descriptions, and recorded sessions that help you move faster, especially if you're tired of reinventing the wheel. If you lead any part of clinical simulation education, patient safety simulation, or simulation operations, this one is built for you. Drawing on his new book, he also puts this moment in context: showing how earlier waves of environmental policymaking took shape in the 1960s and '70s, and why today's approach is marked by polarization, legal battles, and uncertainty. In what area(s) of your life is this question most urgent? Is there someone in your life you can talk with about this struggle this week? The sermon describes two different models of prayer: charismatic (seeking an experience in God's presence) and prophetic (asking God to bring His Kingdom to earth). What are your experiences with each model? How might these two approaches to prayer sometimes feel like they're pulling us in different directions?Kenny said that, when it comes to these two models, the “blind spot” can be our humility. How might humility transform the purpose and power of our prayer lives? The theologian Henri Nouwen writes that “ the closer we come to God, the stronger will be God's demand to let go of the many ‘safe' structures we have built around ourselves.” How are you feeling challenged right now in your own prayer life? Do you sometimes avoid prayer… as a way to avoid feeling challenged? What are some ways you might become more disciplined in your prayer life? How might a richer prayer life be a blessing to you? How might it be a blessing to others?

Born in 2007 in San Diego, California and raised in Tijuana, Mexico, Omar Camacho blends corridos tumbados with urban Latin fusion, drawing from U.S. hip-hop, norteño, and regional Mexican sounds.Released April 9, 2026 via Rico o Muerto Music / Sony Music Latin, the track fuses trap, reggaetón, and dembow influences over lyrics centered on street lifestyle, tinted-window cars, clubbing, and Hollywood-inspired flex. The upbeat, high-energy production has driven strong early regional traction in Mexico. As of mid-April 2026, “Por Hollywood” has accumulated over 2.2 million YouTube views in approximately 10 days. On Spotify Mexico, the single opened with roughly 430,000 daily streams, peaking at 461,000 streams and climbing from #33 to #29 on the daily chart, with early weekly streams exceeding 1.28 million in Mexico. Pastor Raymond Camacho

SCRIPTURE: Psalm 51 YOU CAN ALSO READ KENNY'S MANUSCRIPT FOR THIS MESSAGE HERE!REFLECTION/DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:Kenny defines schadenfreude as “the joy we feel at someone else's misfortune.” Have you ever felt this? Why do you think this feeling comes so naturally to us?How do you feel when you read that God “loves mercy”? In Psalm 51:6, David writes that God “desires truth in the inward being.” What do you think it means to look for this kind of truth? If you were to try this… what might you find in yourself? Kenny uses an analogy about gardening to explain God's approach to justice and mercy. How does viewing God as a gardener who wants plants to flourish change your understanding of why God delights in showing mercy instead of handing out quick punishment? In what ways do you need God's patient “watering” right now in order to help you grow into who He created you to be?David promises in Psalm 51:13 that, once restored, “I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will return to you.” What does this tell us about the purpose of receiving God's mercy? How has experiencing God's mercy in your own life equipped you to show mercy to others or share hope with people who are struggling? The sermon challenges us to “stop giving up on people”... even when wisdom requires keeping distance from harmful individuals. What is the difference between protecting yourself and giving up hope for someone's transformation?

On this episode of Eat Drink Smoke Happy Hour, Tony Katz and Fingers Malloy light up the Camacho Corojo Toro -- and find out what happens when a cigar sits quietly in the humidor for nearly four years before finally getting its turn. The guys break down the cigar’s oily wrapper, steady construction, black-and-red pepper spice, wood notes, and just enough underlying sweetness to keep things interesting, even if it doesn’t quite land in Tony’s personal wheelhouse. They also stumble into an actual surprise during a Gas Station Find when Big Sipz Chocolate Martini turns out to be far more drinkable than either of them expected. What starts as a joke ends with comparisons to a White Russian, a rare moment of approval, and the shocking possibility that a three-dollar gas station drink might actually be party-worthy. Along the way, they get into rotating cigars in the humidor, frozen burger tricks that may or may not be gourmet, dog walkers treating Fingers’ mailbox like public property, the challenge of talking about Iran when the story keeps changing by the hour, and why this may be the first truly successful gas station find in show history.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

What does this story teach us about the reality of human friendship and our need for something beyond just good intentions?Think about a relationship in your life where you've disappointed someone or been disappointed. How might knowing that God offers unlimited time and grace change how you approach healing or forgiveness in that relationship? After Peter's denial, Jesus gave him three opportunities to declare his love (John 21:15-19), matching the three denials. What does this careful, patient restoration process teach us about how God handles our failures? When you've made mistakes, do you tend to rush to 'fix' things quickly, or do you allow proper time for healing? How can you practice more patience with yourself and others in the restoration process? The sermon concludes by challenging us to live differently because 'there is nothing left to fear' after the resurrection. What practical changes might this fearless living look like in your daily relationships and service to others?Name one specific person in your life (at home, work, neighborhood, etc.) that you could love more boldly if you truly believed you had unlimited time and nothing to fear.

Today's daily comedy show is what happens when you give microphones to people who should probably just be texting each other. We kick things off with Olympic-level… activities. Apparently the Olympic Village ran out of condoms in three days. Three. Days. That's not an athletic achievement — that's cardio with consequences. We debate whether elite athletes should be breeding super-humans or if maybe the rest of us deserve a shot at greatness. (Spoiler: the Rizzuto bloodline is not currently favored.)Then we spiral into Olympic sports confusion. Skeleton. Luge. Two-man luge (you know the one). If you grew up in Ballwin, Missouri, how exactly do you “get into” skeleton? Is there a sign-up sheet at Schnucks? Do you just lie face-first on a sled and hope for the best? We also relive the Team USA bobsled disaster that turned into a solo survival mission mid-run. Nothing says “team sport” like accidentally ejecting half your teammates. There's also a dog that hijacked a ski slope and honestly looked more qualified than most of us. If that's not peak sports content, what are we even doing here?We also unpack the “Most Gen X Man in the World” video, which is basically a documentary about Riz. Garden hose hydration. Distrust of WiFi. Emotional suppression via grunge. If you ever microwaved a dinner and raised yourself at an abandoned mall, congratulations — you've found your people on this daily comedy show.In Crap on Celebrities, we break down Tool possibly taking over The Sphere in Vegas (yes please), Weezer turning 34 (we're not okay), Hollywood's obsession with reboots, and the FBI updating the case involving Savannah Guthrie's mother. Plus, we rank the best fictional presidents in TV and movies — and yes, President Camacho was ROBBED.We wrap with birthdays, questionable romance stats, and one of the most aggressively titled adult films of 1995. Because that's the kind of well-rounded journalism you expect from a daily comedy show broadcasting from St. Louis. If you like pop culture commentary, funny celebrity gossip, Olympic chaos, sarcastic humor, and the occasional existential crisis wrapped in Mountain Dew nostalgia, welcome home.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
