The dorc cast rides into another week to talk about general nerdom, sadly we are missing two of our co-hosts Kate and professor. One due to sickness and the other visiting friends from out of town. We talk about one of the stars from game of thrones breaking a new strength record adding to his growing list he already has. Kody talks about his new fightstick and cat ear headphones. The Dorc Cast celebrates 1 year of anniversary of the podcast! How you ask? By continuing to talk about the nerdy things we love. Into the badlands, ash vs the evil dead and jessica jones have most of us either waiting for the next episode or deciding if it's too late to watch another. Yo-kai watch has us grabbing our 3ds's again and fire emblem fates has us counting the days till it's release in february. Then Professor Falconer? regaled us with a tale of his last moments of employment at KB toys.
Second week back and we are already on the hype train about a few shows and games.
After a long break we are back and ready for business.
Here we bring you our second chat from the Convention we co-hosted; a sit down with special guests Scott Baker, Ryan T. Husk and Rico E. Anderson!Professor Falconer joins our guests to discuss fandom, crowdfunding, and the impact of both in the making of this generations Independent Films. Particularly the film "5th Passenger" that is currently in Post-Production.
During SteamHouse Con 2015, all the DOrcs were called upon to instead work the floor and take control of the Convention, on short notice, and thusly had little time to record.Professor Falconer, Enigmatic Pariah and Macaroonicorn did, however, get to sit down for a quick chat with Star Trek legend Tracee Lee Cocco! We cover the highlights of her career, the little known other projects she's worked on, and even what shows she watches as ritualistically as some of us had watched her! Disclaimer: We'd like to apologize for the lower quality of this recording, in advance. Along with technical difficulties experienced during, this was assembled on a moments notice in the middle of an active convention floor.
On our newest episode, we have the full crew with us.... With a lack of enthusiasm? The hours everyone's been putting in at school, work, and coordinating the upcoming SteamHouse Con 2015 has taken it's toll. This week is a much more relaxed recording, and a peek into what it's like when the mics aren't usually running. Enjoy!
Once again joined by their guest Justin Armstrong, of Central Valley Whovians, the DOrcs show their deep seated passion for Pokemon as they cover news of Pokemon Go, the mobile installment of the franchise releasing next year. With more than their bases covered in that conversation, Joshy fills us in with more updates to the current Alpha phase of Rising Thunder. We then turn to more upcoming movie news, recent TV rumours, and how best Hollywood needs to cast them!
This week, our DOrcs were joined by Special Guest Justin Armstrong, admin for the local Central Valley Whovians! After giving us the long and short of his growing group, we share a round table discussion of the [mostly] loved Dr. Who series. Find out all the details of the DOrc's experiences with the series, or lack there of. And while all goes swimmingly throughout, will a naming Snafu spell the end for these wonderful new friendships? Turn on and tune in to find out!
Usually stays there, but, the triumphant return of Kody, Angus and Joshy from SyndCon 2015 may have bent that rule just a bit.Professor Falconer leads the episode with some movie news that the DOrcs, and many franchise fans, may not appreciate the most. We then proceed to gush about the good times of a week on vacation and what the crew learned about upcoming events/news/releases for Ultima Online, Crowfall and Shroud of the Avatar!
All the DOrcs are present this week, just before a week off while Kody, Joshy and Angus visit SyndCon in Vegas for the next week! While they're all here, Professor Falconer fills us in on all the latest news of Star Wars Land that's coming to the Disney Parks, some parting thoughts from last weeks Nintendo talks, and Kate gets conversation rolling about Stephen Amell, both as far as Arrow and his WWE appearance! Twists and Turns of all kinds fill the conversation, as usual. Tune in and turn on to see where they end up!
This week sees our own Kody [Enigmatic Pariah] absent from duties while he moves to his new house... But, That doesn't keep the rest of the DOrc's from the grind! Each member checks in with news from the various fronts covering more alpha phase gaming, confirmed and otherwise film castings, and even some nerd confessions that take the cast aback. Can't guess what offence could possibly put us in such an uproar? Listen in to find out!
With our Dear Professor on assignment at the local StocktonCon, the remainder of the DOrc's convene to cover another wide-range of subjects. We hear assorted movie news and opinions, potential information on games in which you shoot, as well as news about games making people shoot each other! There's also some gaming promises made by MasterKate, which may make their way hear for your listening pleasure.. As well as a renewed vigor on part of Joshy for the "Curry-Off" between himself and Kody. Tune in to hear about it all, and the rest of the antics we can never quite avoid, on this latest ep.
This week, the DOrcs cover a lot of ground in smaller portions. We hear news of how the newest fighting game, Rising Thunder, is fairing in it's first alpha playtests. About the sad passing of yet another WWF Legend. TCG happenings, upcoming movie info, books reviews, and even a strange story our dear Professor shares from his past. Also, shameless shout-outs and offers made up to a few of our favourite Celebs, of course. Listen in to hear how this all comes together!
This week, all the DOrc's are gathered again, and chat some about the wonderful time most of them spent this weekend catching a live Hollywood Babble On!MasterKate fills us in on a few of the newer SyFy offerings she's appreciated, while Professor Falconer brings to bear the news of more WWE Non-Entities.The MadHatter also catches the gang up on some of the latest in competitive gaming and ESports scenes, and how it affects us all on certain levels.
In return from our unexpected hiatus, Professor Falconer leads Macaroonicorn and Enigmatic Pariah [A mere skeleton crew!] over a small range of newsworthy nerd moments in the last few weeks. We begin with enacting our own "Challenge Mode," as we fear we've allowed our mouths to run afoul just a bit too much in recent times. The Prof then gives us some spoiler free discussion and review of Marvel Studio's latest film, Ant-Man! The boys easy move along into further reel talk with reactions to casting confirmations, new trailers and much more! And as we can never leave the games alone for TOO long, there's a nod to a dear friend competing at EVO 2015, Asian releases we can't wait to come Stateside, and a fond remembering of one of Nintendo's most influential forces.. The late Satoru Iwata.
This week, the Dapper Orcs are proud to present to you a very special guest by the name of Joe Cahill!Mr. Cahill joins our own Professor Falconer, MasterKate & Enigmatic Pariah to discuss and elaborate upon a number of projects he has coming in our own area, California's Central Valley. He and a business partner have been hard at work putting together Steam House Coffee Co, along with an upcoming Convention sharing the moniker, Film Festival + Award Show, and much more! But, don't be fooled easily by the names, dear listeners! While Steampunk may well be an overarching theme for the business savvy gentlemen, be aware that there's little Geek Culture that escapes them, and all events are aimed at the entire community. A single glance at our EP's hair proves he's tickled Pink about it! We hope you enjoy, urge you to peer closer into these amazing events, and look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in October for the first annual Steam House Con!
This week, the Dapper Orcs welcome MasterKate back from her surgery.. This week, our Dapper Orcs convene to catch up with Professor Falconer and discuss all the news he brought back from the first solo Bethesda E3 Showcase! He manages to fill us in on some of the tech we saw much more prevalent around E3 in general, as well as what we can expect for a coming line-up of games. Some obviously more awaited by our particular DOrcs. What were your favourites from Bethesda? Or is there something you'd like to hear more about? Let us know!
The DOrcs are, mostly, back from a week away - which we apologize for,However, with our dear Professor Falconer away for the Bethesda Showcase at E3, the rest of the crew throws format to the wind and just blindly discusses a variety of shows, movies, games and the like.We also hear of how Joshy is particular honoured the sad passing of the late, great Christopher Lee.
This week, The Dapper Orcs are down the Hatter, but make do just as well in letting the Fury fly by way of movie news and reviews! The cast all gushes about the new Indie release [Via Youtube & Steam] of Kung Fury. The greatest in B-Movie, tongue-in-cheek retro 80's action comedies.Masterkate and Professor Falconer share their disgust at Tron 3 being cancelled from Disney's line-up, as well as hope for a more triumphant return later... While our Macaroonicorn and Enigmatic Pariah continue the trend of heaping most-deserved praise upon the latest installment of the Mad Max franchise, Fury Road!See if you DOrcs can also keep up with the naturally-aspirated speed the cast runs through these and so many other tangents with on this ep!
With all Dapper Orcs present, we string together a slew of topics, mostly off the beaten path. "The road to hell is paved with good intentions," and so we threw those ideas to the winds and rambled as we're prone to do. Find out just what these DOrcs have been up to, coming plans, and much more in the latest installment of DOrcCast!
With the absence of MasterKate this week, the Dapper Orcs decided against the planned DC talks and instead played off some promised movie reviews from our dear Professor. In accordance with our typical talks, no subject was really left unscathed. Join in to hear where all we turned with Professor Falconer, MadHatter, Enigmatic Pariah and the Macaroonicorn!
With the full cast back, we finally gush about the latest installment within the MCU! Avengers: Age Of Ultron! Join the Dapper Orcs for a long list of spoilers [Which, by now, they shouldn't be!]; talk of cast, story, plot points vs., plot holes, tie-ins and more!
This week, the Dapper Orcs are missing MasterKate as her pursuit of higher education robbed us of her presence... But, we were happy to have another guest flesh out our ranks for some completely random conversations. While we're all waiting to gush after opening weekend of AoU, we instead fill this week with some other events, and talk of upcoming movies and tie-ins.
Attention DOrcs! This week we're glad to bring you a special introduction from a Professor that needs none himself! We've managed to get our hands on some scintillating stories from the Hall of Hogwarts to share with you over the coming weeks, and this is the first! The 'Cast continues on from there to cover a little more of the latest Mortal Kombat franchise release, MKX, as well as other tie-ins from the same studio and style games. We also cover the spectrum and good and bad in current gaming news, ranging from Silent Hill to the Kanto Region, with plenty of stops in between! Superman and more!A little more discussion as the DOrcs have moved along also in the new Daredevil series, and our hopes for the future of comic shows.. While wrapping up in some of our current Comic Book singles and trades reading.
This weeks gathering of Dapper Orcs touches off with a bit of talk over Marvel & Netflix's first season of Daredevil, keeping it short until we've seen it all and have MasterKate back with us.The conversation somehow turns to our dear Professor's lack of creative license with hair styles, childhood toys + injuries, and into former lives where many of the DOrcs had managed to play as many sports as they do games! Tune in to hear why some of us will stick to the testosterone fueled sims rather than visit the fields, courts, etc!
Listeners!Alan and Kody bring you a short mid-week special for yet another book the Dapper Orcs are doting upon quite a bit!We briefly discuss the book "A Glimpse Into Madness," by Sean Walter. The Professor also fills us in on how he's acquainted with Mr. Walter, and provides us with a reading of one of the many short stories filling these pages. The details of our next literary give-away are also within, so find a comfy spot and get ready to turn the page with some DOrcs.www.seanwalter-author.comwww.facebook.com/SeanWalterAuthorSeanWalter.Author@gmail.com
The Dapper Orcs all finally reunite after a week off for a short trip. We catch up with the tomfoolery of each, and hear about the upcoming endeavours of Professor Falconer, including a number of games you'll soon be able to catch him, as well as the rest of the cast + special guests, play!Macaroonicorn and Madhatter fill us in about the trip they took with Pessimistic Luke to Wrestlemania, surrounding events, and favourite memories. Hear also some drinking stories that surface after we hear about Macaroonicorn's birthday this weekend!Discussion, as our dear Prof had no reviews for us, turns to the reveals we've had about some upcoming movies, shows, and a ton of our favourite Anime's.
While many of the DOrcs are away for Wrestlemania this weekend, we revisit our gaming in a different way..Ramble on with our guests Kyle and Sara, Fight for the users with Alan and Kate both paired against the villainous duo of Joshy and Kody for a play through of the game Geek Out!
This week, the DOrcs miss their dear Professor, and have Kyle sit back in to catch up on topics ranging from the recent Variant Cover debacle to the upcoming release of MKX!Join us as we meander also down memory lane for some further insight into Joshy's embracing of his gamer/nerdom, and Kody's luck as a child for the mediums he loves so now.
Join the cast as they tackle only the most mature and serious of topics this week: Ficitional Waifu's!Since, of course, in varied taste we can't ever decide on a single Geekdom, the topics range from DC/Marvel Comics, TV/Movies and Classic literature. Don't forget, either, to stick around to the end of the Ep, for our special reading of the "50 Shades Of MODOK!"Send us your choices for your own Waifu's, especially if you're into a mortgage and a couple Corgi's! Intro / Outro music supplied by the talented Jimmy Takahashi, and further work of his maybe found at https://soundcloud.com/jimmy-takahashi .Dramatic Reading material, and expanded stories, can be found at http://modokgrey.tumblr.com/

And share our GoT House picks along with us as an RPG Party. Listen in to hear it all!
The Cast spends a few moments covering the loss of the inimitable Leonard Nimoy. The Prof reviews the latest viewings from his list, and we manage to jump trains from Sci-Fi Shows to Custom Dice, along with loads of other chaos!
A small bevy of our usual cast unites to hear Prof. Falconer's latest Top 100 reviews, hear the Origin story behind Falconer himself along with the business he tends to, and our first guest, the thoroughly talented Sara Croteau of So Psyched [Steampunk] clothing and accessories!
We offer our apologies for the lack of a cast lately, and quickly derail the train of thought we launch into. This ep starts a new piece we'll be showcasing, Professor Falconer's reviews of his much talked about 100 movie list, along with another quick and fun food review. Also, we took the intiative to increase Marlon Brando presence by at least 1000%.
Professor Falconer regales for us a comic related tale, and thus opens the door for the crew to take off onto all sorts of tangents! Join us for the fun and help us with some crowd sourced fun for a future episode!
A mid-week special featuring Alan and Kody further discussing Amanda Palmer's "The Art of Asking," as well as announcing the winners of our Giveaway!
we talked about a box of truffles we got and how good they are along with a bunch of random other things
we use a dice to choose our topics and have a puppy visit us.
We didn't really have anything planned for this episode, so we just kinda had fun and raged about a few things.
We go back to the roots of our gaming and talk about old games we loved to play.AlanFacebook: Professor Falconer@Prof_FalconerKate@themasterkateAngus@MadHatter1342Kody@EnigmaticPariahThe Dapper orcsemail: dorccast@gmail.comFacebook: D-orc casttwitter: @D_Orc_Castinstagram: Dorc_castwebsite www.dapperorcs.com
