The UK's Low Level Waste Repository in Cumbria in the North West of England has been operating for nearly seven decades, so probably for longer than any other such facility anywhere. During that time things have changed from a "tip and tumble" typical landfill disposal system, to today's approach with containerised waste and engineered vaults.Nuclear Waste Services' Director of Sites and Operations, Mike Pigott, and Head of Waste Services Howard Falconer, explain the history of the site, how its operations have changed and its plans for the future - including an update on the prospects for a deep geological disposal facility. The Low Level Waste Repository's role is to ensure that low-level waste generated in the UK is disposed of in a way that protects people and the environment. The repository site receives low-level solid waste from a range of customers, such as the nuclear industry, the Ministry of Defence, non-nuclear industries, educational, medical and research establishments. Legacy disposal trenches and vaults are now full and ready for permanent closure.Pigott outlines progress on the capping of the original parts of the giant site, which aims to make what began as initially a temporary disposal facility, a permanent - and environmentally safe - place for the low level waste. Falconer outlines the sustainability steps taken to reduce the amount of low level radioactive waste. For instance, reusing material from decommissioning projects in new-build constructions. The result is that there are still many decades-worth of capacity at the site.Key links to find out more:World Nuclear NewsNuclear Waste ServicesCapping of UK repository progressesEmail newsletter:Sign up to the World Nuclear News daily or weekly news round-upsContact info:alex.hunt@world-nuclear.orgEpisode credit:  Presenter Alex Hunt. Host of the Spacebusters & emcee of Liberpulco, Steve Falconer, stops by to dig into the hidden past of Europe and the role of the Catholic Church's army, the Knights Templar. This group was beyond national borders and operated with impunity for centuries. The role of multigenerational bloodline banking families was crucial in opening up the usury trade throughout Western Europe, and the establishment of city-states that are above the laws of the land even to this day. Steve takes his audience deep down the rabbit hole and back through the centuries to discover what really happened in our past.—Guest LinksSteve FalconerYouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@spacebusters3933—Video ChannelsWatch the video version of Macroaggressions:Rumble: https://rumble.com/c/Macroaggressions YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@MacroaggressionsPodcastBrighteon: https://www.brighteon.com/channels/macroaggressions/—MACRO & Charlie Robinson LinksHypocrazy Audiobook: https://amzn.to/4aogwmsThe Octopus of Global Control Audiobook: https://amzn.to/3xu0rMmWebsite: www.Macroaggressions.ioMerch Store: https://macroaggressions.dashery.com/ Link Tree: https://linktr.ee/macroaggressionspodcast—Activist Post FamilySign up for the Activist Post Newsletter: https://activistpost.kit.com/emailsActivist Post: www.ActivistPost.comNatural Blaze: www.NaturalBlaze.com —Support Our SponsorsGround Luxe Grounding Mats: https://GroundLuxe.com/MACROReplace Your Mortgage: www.WipeOutYourMortgageNow.comC60 Power: https://go.ShopC60.com/PBGRT/KMKS9/ | Promo Code: MACROChemical Free Body: https://ChemicalFreeBody.com/macro/ | Promo Code: MACROWise Wolf Gold & Silver: https://Macroaggressions.Gold/ | (800) 426-1836LegalShield: www.DontGetPushedAround.comEMP Shield: www.EMPShield.com | Promo Code: MACROChristian Yordanov's Health Program: www.LiveLongerFormula.com/macroAbove Phone: https://AbovePhone.com/macro/Van Man: https://VanMan.shop/?ref=MACRO | Promo Code: MACROThe Dollar Vigilante: https://DollarVigilante.spiffy.co/a/O3wCWenlXN/4471Nesa's Hemp: www.NesasHemp.com | Promo Code: MACROAugason Farms: https://AugasonFarms.com/MACRO—

In the summer of 2006, a teenage girl began posting video diaries to a then-new site called YouTube under the handle lonelygirl15. Within weeks she was a phenomenon—even though no one knew the truth of who she really was. The frenzied quest to change that, to solve the mystery of lonelygirl15, would ultimately land her on the front page of newspapers and the covers of magazines. Twenty years on, lonelygirl15 is both an artifact of an earlier online era and an origin point for the internet as we know it: a place full of video diaries, parasocial relationships, influencers, hyper-engaged fandoms, and the knowledge that you can't always believe your eyes.In this episode, you'll hear from some of the people who investigated lonelygirl15 way back in 2006: culture critic Virginia Heffernan, who writes the Substack Magic + Loss and co-hosts the podcast Omnishambles; entertainment journalist Richard Rushfield of The Ankler; Emmy Award-winning producer Jenni Powell; and one-time cybersleuth Chris Patterson. We also speak with the people involved in making lonelygirl15: Miles Beckett, Mesh Flinders, Jessica Rose Phillipps, and Amanda Goodfried. When Science Discovers Demons: The Rise of Secular Exorcism

What happens when secular clinicians start doing what Jesus commissioned His disciples to do?Licensed psychiatrists, psychologists and therapists are encountering something in their patients they can't fully explain: external entities that aren't part of the self, that want to destroy, torment, and deceive. What they're calling "unattached burdens," the body of Christ has been calling demons for two thousand years. Josh is joined by Michael Miller and guest David Fish to dig into Robert Falconer's book The Others Within Us. They discuss what happens when the clinical sciences start bumping into the supernatural.Robert Falconer is not a Christian and doesn't believe in demons - at least not officially. But in his book The Others Within Us, he documents something that every deliverance minister will recognize: external entities that enter traumatized people and set up shop. They come in through open wounds. They offer false comfort. They isolate. They destroy. And when you try to reason with them, they can't see anything true or good.He calls them Unattached Burdens. We call them demons. Same thing. We walk through Falconer's framework step by step, the Internal Family Systems model that underlies it, the diagnostic tests he uses to tell human "parts" from outside entities, and the clinical process he follows to try to remove them. It's genuinely impressive how much he gets right. And it's genuinely concerning because without the authority of Christ, without repentance, without the Holy Spirit, "secular exorcism" may be simply moving entities around more than casting them out.C.S. Lewis's "chronological snobbery" gets brought up for good reason: the ancient near east understood spiritual warfare better than the modern materialist west ever has. But the secular world is waking up. Insurance companies are covering Reiki. New Age and Wicca are exploding. The spiritual landscape is shifting fast, and the body of Christ needs to recover its authority in this space.0:00 – Introduction2:10 – Guest David Fish9:44 – Robert Falconer's Framework17:45 – Diagnosing UBs vs. Self37:42 – How UBs Enter41:31 – Secular Exorcism Methods49:32 – Sending UBs Away1:04:54 – Closing ThoughtsINTRO TO DELIVERANCE MINISTRY: https://www.theremnantradio.com/intro-to-deliverance-ministrySubscribe to The Remnant Radio newsletter and receive our FREE introduction to spiritual gifts eBook. This last episode of the Falconry Chronicles podcast ends on another great note. As stated in his first episode, Dr. Ken Riddle comes back to detail and highlight other important memories, as well as clarify and further detail other recollections that were covered previously. This is another truly special episode that details certain aspects of falconry in the Middle East that nobody would be able to do justice to describing unless they lived it. I'm very happy and thankful that Ken agreed to do this follow up, and I'm glad they'll be preserved forever. As promised, all of my episode files have been given to The Archives of Falconry for safekeeping and preservation. Unless another source of funding comes up in the future or the demand for the podcast returns, this will conclude my podcast efforts. I hope that the endeavor has been worthwhile and current and future generations will be able to listen back to these stories and conversations from falconers all over the world and benefit from them for years to come. For those who have helped me along the way these past seven years, thank you again. I can't say enough that it takes all of us to sustain falconry and everything that comes with it, so I hope if nothing else, these episodes will continue to help in some way. On that note, I wish you all success in your hawking and your own future endeavors, and in the words of some great falconers and people in general, I hope you keep striving for greatness and to leave falconry and the world a better place than you left it. Unfortunately, there might be more remote recordings in the future, but I'll do my best to continue to do in person when I can. This episode and a few others were supposed to be recorded in person at the Arizona meet in Camp Verde, but because of some unfortunate circumstances, I had to cancel plans last minute. Fortunately, one of my planned guests, Wayne Skankey, agreed to join me remotely after the meet to discuss his falconry, juggling his career around his falconry, getting to live in Taiwan for a while and seeing falconry there, and flying merlins and peregrines, amongst other things! Well, here we are folks.... Another couple of big milestones for the podcast! This 200th episode also marks two years of being on my own under Falconry Chronicles, and I held this recording back to mark such an occasion! The guest for this episode, Dr. Ken Riddle, has been requested many times over the years, and thanks to the help of Rob Rainey, Robert Bagley, and other mutual friends, this recording was finally able to take place last summer. I'm so glad that it did, because Ken has roughly 75 years of falconry experiences and memories, and over this nearly 3.5 hour long episode, you'll get to hear quite an amazing story! It goes without saying, but it's impossible to encompass 75 years, 35 of which were in the Middle East, in 3.5 hours, but Ken shares an overview of some of his life, endeavors, and accomplishments in this lengthy episode, and because some of these things need clarified and expounded upon further, he's already agreed to another follow up episode! This recording is a great example of why I've been motivated for so long to continue the podcast, and why I've believed in this mission for so long. This episode was recorded seemingly forever ago, almost three years to be exact. Now that I've made my way completely through my backlog and had a chance to listen back to this episode that I've held in reserve for so long, it felt like an appropriate time to put it out. I recently published another episode featuring a longtime Indiana falconer, so I figured this would be a good time to publish another! Doug agreed to do this recording while I was still working a travel position in Terre Haute, and after doing some hawking, we sat down to discuss Doug's young start in falconry, what falconry was like in Indiana all those years ago from his perspective, and most importantly, to get some fond memories of Don Garvin, another longtime Indiana falconer who passed in 2022.  Support at buymeacoffee.com/falconrychroniclesSpecial thanks to the organizations and businesses who've kindly helped support the podcast! The Archives of Falconryhttp://www.falconry.orgMarshall Radio Telemetryhttp://www.marshallradio.comMasters of the Skieshttp://www.mastersoftheskies.orgBaba Yaga Craftshttp://www.instagram.com/babayagagoshawkNorth Mountain Goshawkshttp://www.northmountaingoshawks.comNew Mexico Falconers AssociationArizona Falconers Assocationhttp://www.arizonafalconers.comTexas Hawking Associationhttp://www.texashawking.orgNorth American Falconers Associationhttp://www.n-a-f-a.comFalconry Fundhttp://www.falconryfund.orgPursuit Falconry and Conservation Magazinehttp://pursuitfalconry.co.ukThe Specialist Falconhttp://www.thespecialistfalcon.comCape Falconry Clubhttp://www.capefalconry.co.zaEast Coast Falconshttp://www.eastcoastfalcons.comBlackhawk Falconry Dachshundshttps://www.facebook.com/blackhawkdachshunds Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Falconers and their opinions... You all have heard that sentiment mentioned many times now on the podcast, and for those of you who have been active falconers longer than five seconds, you know this sentiment all too well! There are some opinions that are more rooted in fact and that are widely agreed upon, but others are up for much more debate. There are always going to be disagreements within the falconry community, as there are in any life endeavor. I have no doubt there will be many who both agree and disagree with some of the thoughts and opinions shared by the guest of this episode, but nevertheless, I appreciate Karl taking the time to come on and spend a couple of hours sharing some pretty crazy hunting stories, some of his changes in his own opinions over the years, and some of his opinions on what he thinks we could or should be doing differently with falconry here in the United States.
