Len and Dan and maybe some other friends sometimes talking about movies... New episodes on Wednesdays! Letterboxd list of movies featured by episode: https://boxd.it/ltCRK
The Dudes are back to catch the listeners up on everything that we've been watching in our absence. We're also here to discuss the 1999 screwball-comedy-superhero ensemble cast flick MYSTERY MEN. Strap in, the dudes are back again!
Some MFs are always trying to ice skate uphill... and some dudes are always trying to talk about movies. Today the dudes are talking about the horny vampire movie. No, not Nosferatu, the OTHER one: 1998's BLADE starring Wesley Snipes. Grab your garlic and your deliver bullets, lets go.
The dudes are back to celebrate 2 years of doin' movies! Time really flies... Anyways, this week we're talking about DREDD (2012). This hyper stylized movie is AWESOME, and the dudes are here to talk about why. PLUS: Classic Sci-Fi, the state of the MCU and more!
I don't even know what to say about this one. It is demented beyond reason. THE LAWNMOWER MAN (1992) is on YouTube for free. You gotta watch it to really understand the depravity of this weird ass flick. Once again, the Dudes are divided. Plus: Resident Evil, both dudes watched French flicks, and more!
The sabbatical is over and the Dudes are back. This time they're diving into THE ROCKETEER, the early 90's sci-fi flick based on the obscure 80's comic. One dude enjoyed it a little more than the other, and the dudes will debate its merits. Plus, Switch 2! James Bond! Bold! and more!
WE'RE BACK! We're joined by all the DDM Homies to look back on 2024 and talk about what we liked (and what we didn't) and look forward to 2025! Buckle up, cause it's a big one today!
The Dudes are at it again with the alien invasion flick INDEPENDENCE DAY from 1996. Lots of people our age look back at the flick nostalgically, but how does it actually hold up? The dudes will look at the movie on its own merits as well as compare it to another similar contemporary to see what is good about it and what sucks. All this, plus more!
The dudes are gettin weird today: THE KEEP, Michael Mann's bizarre fever dream fantasy-horror-period piece-whatever movie. The dudes deep dive on how this movie suffered from studio interference, what parts about it were cool, and more. Plus: The dudes catch up on what movies they've been watching with the last few weeks off.
Up this week is AEON FLUX, the 2005 live action adaptation of the 90's MTV sci-fi cartoon. While the animated series is beloved, the movie is definitely not. But is the hate warranted or not? Strap in, because the dudes are here to do some discussion on the matter. All this and lots more!
The Dudes are closing out their Halloween coverage (we missed one week in Oct so we're makin' it up now!) with the 1988 creature feature THE BLOB. The Dudes talk about how fun this flick is, how it curates a vibe, and what their favorite Blobbings are. Plus a TON of ranting about pranks, indian food, hangout movies, dressing up for Halloween, and much more!
The Dudes finally did it: HALLOWEEN on HALLOWEEN. 'Nuff said! Listen now!!!!!!!

After a week off, the Dudes are joined once again by Donnie to continue Halloween coverage with BRAINDEAD, aka DEADALIVE, the Peter Jackson gorefest classic. Is this a comedy? Is this a horror? Is this the grossest movie of the 90's? All these questions and more will be answered.
October is here and you know what that means... DUDES DOIN HALLOWEEN 2024 is upon us: and we're starting with MAD GOD, the absolutely demented claymation flick about descending into hell (at least thats what we think it's about). Listen to us talk about our interpretations of the flick, what we liked about it, and what makes it so unique. Plus: Wallace & Gromit! Sunshine! Sonic The Hedgehog! All this and more!
My god. The dudes are taking a look at all the BATMAN movies today, and they're joined by friends, former guests and Bat-fans Xavier (Simulakra & Gridiron) and Chase (God Instinct). Buckle up cause were goin in on every Batman movie, for better or for worse...
The dudes are doin a weird one today: ELECTRIC DRAGON 80,000 V, a Japanese arthouse superhero flick from 2001 that's basically an anime brought to life. The dudes will talk about what worked for them and what didn't in this movie that's somehow way outside their wheelhouse but at the same time right up their alley. Plus, A Simple Plan, Pizza Party Massacre, Lone Wolf & Cub, Boogie Nights, and Len's upstairs neighbor is making a bunch of weird noises!
Today we do something different: The Dudes are here to reckon with their ratings... We looked at movies we've reviewed and compared our ratings and to the average rating on Letterboxd, and we pulled the top 25 with the biggest difference between how we see 'em and how people in general see 'em. Were the dudes too harsh or too kind on certain movies? Will they double down, or will they concede they were wrong? Can we understand or quantify WHY certain movies are seen in such a different light than the way we saw them? How do some of our friends reviews of these movies on the app support or refute our takes? A fun experiment that we wanted to turn into an episode. PLUS: The dudes hit RETROCON in PA! All this and more!
Aliens! Fireworks! Low budget sci-fi! British slang! All this and more can be found in the 2011 hidden gem ATTACK THE BLOCK, and the Dudes are here to talk about it today. Plus: Donuts, The Crow (the new one), Paul Schraeder, and what movies the guys are looking forward to for the rest of the year. Classic DDM vibes here. Don't miss this one!

Plus, the dudes watched a lot of other flicks and they'll talk about them all, including SPOILER FREE talk about Alien: Romulus.
Who doesn't love THE LORD OF THE RINGS? The dudes certainly do, and today they'll take a look at the entire trilogy and talk about why. Of course, for this one they had to recruit their most LOTR obsessed friend, RUSSELL from Magnitude. Russell literally takes out a flute and plays songs from the soundtrack while we're recording. Not a joke at all. Listen now!
The Dudes are at it again, and today they're taking on 1985's THE LAST DRAGON. Honestly... They didn't enjoy it, and there here to tell you why, plus their thoughts on what could've been done differently to make a cool movie out of this idea. All this, plus more...
What do you get when you combine Godzilla/Gamera style Kaiju with Gundam type mecha sci-fi and make it a big blockbuster action flick? 2013's PACIFIC RIM. The dudes are going to dive into this movie and pick it apart. Is it self-aware, or does it take itself a bit too seriously? Does it do more right or wrong? How has it aged? All these topics, plus more will be discussed when the Dudes take a swing at PACIFIC RIM. Plus: The Olympics! The Shaw Bros.! People wearing costumes at HC shows! All this and the regular b.s. you've come to know and hopefully love...
We're goin in on ALIEN3, and we brought on our good friend and fellow Alien super-fan Xavier to help us out. This movie is chock full of good ideas, but falls short in a lot of ways.
