Please, blog, may I have some more?
I can't offer you proof (it's only been a week and a half) But you're going to face a moment of truth (when you make FAAB/WW cuts) It's hard when you're always afraid (to let go of your pre-season favorites) You just recover when another belief is betrayed (is it time to move on?) Please, blog, may I have some more?
4 Days or 96 Hours or 5,760 Minutes or 345,600 seconds of baseball and it was glorious. Almost as glorious as 4 putting to win the Masters by 3 or having Byron Buxton on your team to start the year. Grey and B_Don are going to discuss the happenings from the start of the season. Please, blog, may I have some more?
Grey and B_Don are here to go over some spring training news as we approach Opening Day 2022. Despite the start of the baseball season, Grey is feeling a bit down as he has zero shares of the great Julio Rodriguez. Please, blog, may I have some more?

Grey and B_Don are back to begin the long trek through the starting pitcher rankings. As we approach the season, we wanted to make sure you have all the rankings you need for draft season. So, we recorded the first 50 starting pitchers in this pod. Please, blog, may I have some more?

Grey and B_Don are back to go over the outfielders for 2022. We start the show with an outfielder that we both missed on last year, but proved us wrong and now we're believers. After mocking Geoff (formerly Ralph) about Tyler O'Neill last year, B_Don is happy to be on the train this year though. Please, blog, may I have some more?
Grey Albright and B_Don are back to review the the barren wasteland that is 3B rankings. We start with the handful of 3B you may actually want to roster before getting in the globule that is the rest of 3B. We question some of the veteran options at the position in Nolan Arenado, Justin Turner, and Anthony Rendon. Please, blog, may I have some more?

Grey and B_Don are back to review the 2B rankings for 2022. We talk about Grey's and Rudy's projections for the position and where there are some discrepancies. B_Don is joined by fellow Razzballer Steve Paulo (@StevePaulo) and Darik Buchar (@DBuchar) from the NFC to talk about the upcoming RazzSlam contest. Steve is our resident RazzSlam writer for the season and Darik is one of our primary contacts, and the two of them are here to go over the details and our draft strategies for the RazzSlam and the Cutline contest in general. We discuss how to handle some of the transitions from roto to the Cutline points set up and how to handle steals, starters vs closers, and other tricky areas. Darik walks us through the offerings from the NFBC this year. Before I let my guests go, I ask them about some of the big free agent signings of the off-season.
Grey Albright and B_Don are back to go over 1B rankings for 2022 fantasy baseball. For the first two guys, Vlad and Freddie Freeman, see the top 20 podcast. Then, we walk through the 1B tiers and determine where we might be investing at 1B in our drafts to try and find the best values for the position. See how low B_Don is on Votto and what 1B he'd be taking over the veteran 1B. We also look at Rudy's first run of his projections to see how they compare with Grey. The 1B you take may be more about your team build than ADP or one player outproducing another by a large margin. For the catchers mentioned in this pod, check out the catchers podcast. And here are the Andrew Vaughn sleeper and Alex Kiriloff sleeper posts for your reading pleasure.
Starting the positional previews, everyone's favorite, most productive position in all of baseball, catchers! YAY! Now go listen to the intro where Grey makes fun of everyone drafting catchers way too early. From Salvador Perez to Jonah Heim (o yeah, Grey covers a lot more than 20 catchers, right here), we cover them all and where we would potentially draft these players.
Grey Albright and B_Don are here to go over Grey's top 20 overall rankings. Grey mentions how you should view his rankings and tiers, and how to use them during your draft. B_Don and Grey then talk about the players in each tier. B_Don asks the annoying questions you all want to hear. Every player has some kind of flaw if you dig in, and Grey provides his response to those concerns. From ADP to team build, get your answers here.
Free Agency didn't only start in the majors. The Razzball podcast is going through its own transition as Grey has called B_Don in from the ‘pen to take over co-hosting duties. In between the many times Grey interrupts a transition to tell me to transition, we talk about some of the big, pre-lockout signings. Please, blog, may I have some more?

Dear readers, listeners, and friends this is my final post on Razzball. After years of working a variety of jobs here I have taken a full-time role with Baseball America. So this is a emotional podcast for me and not just because we discuss the CBA! I want to thank everyone for their support over the years. Soooooooo... anyway, we invited on Tipping Pitches (@tipping_pitches on twitter). If you're not familiar Alex and Bobby discuss the labor element of baseball. The guys were great sports as Grey and myself (two men of below-average intelligence but above-average looks) pepper them with questions about the CBA and potential lockout. It's an all-time classic!

You know we had to do it em! We're wrapping up the year in classic Razzball fashion with our annual end of year draft for next year. Will I take Michael Conforto? Is Tyler O'Neill in the mix? Will I guilt Grey into drafting a pitcher? All this and more on this year's edition of the Top 25 Players For 2022 Fantasy Baseball. It's like January Grey but with less Crazy Uncle vibes.
It's coming to an end boys and girls. Don't be sad that it's over, just be happy that it happened. Seriously, we had a full season of baseball this year. That's reason enough to celebrate in my book. Unfortunately it led to some STRONG taeks early on in the season. One such strong taek was the demise of confirmed alien Juan Soto. Grey and yours truly, take a moment to dig in on Goato's second half, and his NL MVP chances. We talk some Shane Baz, a little Wander Franco, Robbie Ray, Hans Crouse, and Marcus Semien's record setting 2021. It's a hell of a show, we even banter less in the open!
Vlad vs. Ohtani - is there a better way to start off this week's show? Probably but we discuss it anyway. After that we slide into Shane Baz and Ryan Vilade before talking September Stars Eddie Rosario and Wily Peralta. Then we touch on all sides of Jorge Polanco. His lovefest with Rudy's WAR Room and his value this year and historically. We round it out with some 2022 discussions around Logan Gilbert, Shane McClanahan, Lindor, Javy Baez, and Jo Adell. It's another week of the Razzball podcast.
Grey has the red ass and he's not going to stop yelling for anyone, even Robbie Ray! So what else could we do but record all of it and get his takes on a variety of topics. "Which topics Geoff?" Well, first you sound like Oliver Twist in my head when you ask questions. Second, I'm glad you asked. We talk Corbin Burnes and his unbelievable season, Wander Franco's ADP for 2022, Adam Duvall, Alejandro Kirk, and a list of potential waivers for the week ahead. It's the Razzball baseball podcast for that tight ass.
This is the episode where we chant Donda for the first 15 minutes of the show. After that we talk baseball. But not just baseball fantasy baseball. Gentlemen and three ladies, we're hitting the closing weeks. That means it's time to talk about 2022 and what top rounders from 2021 will be values after disappointing seasons. We talk Lindor, Bellinger, Bieber, Yelich and others. Then we dive into waiver wire adds and rookies you should know. It's a delightful singalong episode of the Razzball Podcast.
Wait another former Cardinals prospect is tearing it up with a team that isn't the Cardinals? No way, that's never happened before, or even over and over again over the last few seasons. We're of course discussing Patrick Wisdom. It's gotta sting that he ended up with the Cubs, no? This run doesn't even make sense. So Grey and yours truly talk about it, we mix in some talk of Starling Marte's unbelievable season and a handful of names to grab over the final month. It's the latest Razzball podcast!
It's been said before, but I'll say it again, the Angels have done a tremendous job of wasting two generational talents over a ten year period. It's frankly impressive. Mr. Albright and yours truly debate which should go higher and where you're comfortable valuing each going into 2022. We then touch on the string of 4.2 IP starts this season, waiver wire adds, and some potential rookie call-ups. It's the Razzball baseball podcast with 20% less pants!
Is Tyler Gilbert good? Will anyone remember his name in 6 years? Did Grey break Joe Musgrove? Did Geoff watch Chris Sale's return? Did Geoff sidetrack us into Sean Manaea conversation to praise him just as he was giving up seven runs? Is there an easier way to make Century Eggs? These are many of the questions we answer this week on the Razzball Podcast. We also talk Edward Cabrera, Lewis Brinson, Hoy Jun Park, and Jose Miranda. It's the Razzball podcast, now with more ums and uhs.
Grey overate... Too many dumplings for the fantasy master lothario. So, he leaves mid-show several times to take bathroom breaks. We edited those out. As for the baseball, we talk Ramón Laureano's suspension, Abraham Toro's current burner, Zack Wheeler's emergence as an ace, and who exactly is Luis Gil. All that and more on this week's show. Don't forget to listen for Easter eggs, which are really just Grey's muffled farts in the background.
The boys are back and ready to talk about the wildest trade deadline in at least a decade. We talk about the Cubs fire sale, how the new homes impact fantasy production from the top names. Players set to gain playing time based on trades, and some of the top callups over the last week. We also spend 10 minutes at the top of the show trying to figure why the Rockies didn't trade Trevor Story and why they draw as many fans as they do. Another week, another Razzball podcast with your boys.
Well, we got sucked into name talk to open this one, but don't worry it last around 90 seconds and we promptly move on to baseball. We talk Nelson Cruz, we talk Rich Hill, and we talk potential trade deadline moves. We discuss shooting Cody Bellinger into space with Jeff Bezos, talk some returning pitchers, some waiver wire names and Grey bakes a delicious tart. All of this and more on the latest episode of the Razzball podcast.
The All-Star break has passed, I, Geoff have returned from vacation, and Grey is ready to talk trade deadline buzz. With that in mind we talk about some of the top names that could be moved, Joey Gallo, Trevor Story, Craig Kimbrel to name a few. We speculate on the potential for a fire sale in Chicago, and walk you through our thoughts on some recent callups and how their playing time will shake out. This may in fact be a useful podcast for once! Oh don't worry I waste Grey and everyone else's time talking about my home league for a good 15 minutes without taking a breath. Never mind the bollocks, it's the latest episode of the Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast.
With Geoff away, Donkey Teeth steps in to grill Grey about his top 100 rankings for the 2nd half of 2021 fantasy baseball. Note: we recorded this podcast prior to the Ronald Acuna injury so when some of the rankings we discuss are one spot off, that's why. Anyway, on this show we talk about how right we both were about Vlad Jr., plus how wrong Grey was about Ohtani and Robbie Ray. We also discuss how to value first half outperformers like Jesse Winker and Cedric Mullins. Finally, Grey commiserates about his last minute fade of Jared Walsh during the preseason. Listen in for all of this and much, much more on this week's Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast!
It's about that time where we take a look back at the first three months of the baseball season and take some inventory. On this week's episode Grey and myself dig into the best surprises of 2021 and its biggest disappointments. We celebrate Vlad Jr., Shohei Ohtani, Jesse Winker, Kevin Gausman's remarkable splitter and a host of others. To Ying this Yang we talk about the disappointing players too! However, we do it while listening to the Whisper Song. We shed tears for Lucas Giolito, Mookie Betts, Juan Soto, and Cody Bellinger. I'm getting emotional just thinking about it. Join us on another episode of the Razzball Podcast!
