Jesse Gibson is back from 18 days abroad and the data he brought back from the London and Dublin card shows is a focus of today's show. While the U.S. hobby is hyper-focused on speculation, we are breaking down the differences in "vibe" and why international shows are attracting a much younger crowd. We also look at the massive organic surge in TCG and sports card interest that feels like the U.S. hobby three years ago. Mike Gioseffi and Jesse also dive into the "Hobby Busts" of the last decade, comparing current hype for current top prospect Konnor Griffin to the massive price drops of guys like Anthony Volpe and Jackson Holliday. We also tackle the "cringe" factor of Kevin O'Leary's latest marketing stunts and debate whether "mega-influencers" are actually helping or hurting the long-term health of the hobby. Finally, we look at the February Gem Rate numbers to see which grading companies—Beckett, PSA, or SGC—are actually gaining ground in 2026. If you want to know where the global market is headed and how to avoid the next prospect trap, you can't miss this episode. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

On this episode of the Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast, Grey and B_Don break out the medical charts because apparently the hamate bone is connected directly to the IL. We dive into the wrist woes of Francisco Lindor, Corbin Carroll, and Jackson Holliday, and what a typical 4–8 week recovery really means for your draft board. Please, blog, may I have some more?
It's less than ideal so far in Sarasota that two emerging, young Orioles stars in Jackson Holliday and Jordan Westburg are already lost for the start of the MLB season. Luke Jones and Nestor discuss what it means for Coby Mayo and newly-acquired Blaze Alexander now that grapefruit baseball has begun and jobs are available in Baltimore. It's early and the Orioles already have big injuries to Jackson Holliday and Jordan Westburg that will affect the Opening Day roster. There are certainly reasons to be optimistic that the Baltimore Orioles won't repeat a last-place performance in the American League East but losing two blue-chip, emerging players before March doesn't lift hope. Anthony Franco joins Darragh McDonald to discuss Tarik Skubal's landmark arbitration decision, the Tigers signing Framber Valdez and Justin Verlander, the six-player trade between the Red Sox and Brewers that included Caleb Durbin, the Orioles signing Chris Bassitt to a one-year deal, whether Jackson Holliday's hamate surgery will change the team's plans, Arizona re-signing Zac Gallen, some factors that could help the Diamondbacks get better as the season goes on, whether the Braves will make a rotation move on the heels of some pitching injuries, and the initial report that MLBPA Executive Director Tony Clark resigned.
Rob and Jeremy took some time from Wednesday's BBMS to discuss how the O's infield should be aligned to start the 2026 season. How much of a wrench does the Westburg and Holliday injuries throw into your belief in the infield defense?
The guys discuss updates on some of the younger Orioles in Heston Kjerstad, Jackson Holliday, Blaze Alexander, and Coby Mayo.
Send a textFirst it was #Mets Francisco Lindor who came up with the 'hamate' bone problem on his left (glove) hand. It bothers players when swinging the bat as the bone rests on the knob of the bat. Lindor had surgery last week as did Jackson Holliday of the #Orioles and Corbin Carroll of the #D'backs. The latter two will miss the start of the 2026 #MLB season but Lindor may make it for Opening Day since the injury is not to his throwing hand unlike the others. Injuries a sadly a part of Spring Training. With the WBC starting in early March managing player health is trickier this year. #Brewers Caleb Durbin who finished 3rd in the NL Rookie of the Year race in 2025 was shipped to the #Red Sox and we wondered what Milwaukee was thinking! We also talk about the impact ballparks play on a hitter's home run rate. Brandon Lowe may have a problem now that he's a Pittsburgh #Pirates player. PNC Park is notoriously bad for home run hitters as are several of the NL Central parks. This is in contrast to the parks in the AL East where Lowe played for the #Rays last season. It's already been a short week of additions and subtractions as the Baltimore Orioles sign veteran starting pitcher Chris Bassitt on a $18.5 million one-year deal and lost Jackson Holliday to a broken hamate bone, which changes the Opening Day lineup. Luke Jones and Nestor reset the Birdland expectations as Mike Elias still has some work to do on the bullpen and there's action gearing up in Sarasota as spring training baseball begins next week in Florida. The post Luke Jones and Nestor discuss Orioles addition of Bassitt and Holliday injury along with pitching strategy of Elias first appeared on Baltimore Positive WNST.
Jackson Holliday and Jordan Westburg would have been two potential leadoff options for the Orioles, but they aren't available right now. Does that leave Gunnar Henderson as the only appropriate choice?

With Francisco Lindor's hamate bone injury looming, the show pivots to the sudden wave of baseball injury news around the league, including Corbin Carroll and Jackson Holliday also dealing with hamate issues. The guys explain why this injury can be deceptively tricky, why power can take longer to return even after the “six week” timeline, and why Yankee fans are bracing for the next bad spring training update when Boone and Cashman meet the media. They also revisit the original “three big stories” debate, weigh Soto's move to left field against Lindor's injury as the most important headline, and take early calls from fans on what the Mets should do if Lindor is not ready. Then the conversation swings back to the Knicks, breaking down the overtime loss to Indiana, Karl-Anthony Towns disappearing, Brunson forcing it late, and the accusation that Rick Carlisle coached like he was trying to lose.
The discussion opens with how MLB teams handle injury timelines and expectations. David Stearns insists the Mets expect Francisco Lindor to be ready for Opening Day, while other organizations take a much more conservative approach. The guys compare Lindor's situation to Corbin Carroll and Jackson Holliday, whose season will start late after surgery, with Orioles GM Mike Elias flatly ruling him out for Opening Day. Is this honesty, gamesmanship, or simply different philosophies on setting expectations? From there, the conversation shifts to the Knicks and the growing backlash against Karl-Anthony Towns. Why has he become the ultimate lightning rod, and why did even the MSG broadcast turn on him? With pointed criticism from Mike Breen and Clyde Frazier, the segment breaks down the nonstop complaining, bad fouls, and whether Towns needs to play more physically to change the narrative.
In Hour 2, the conversation starts with how teams across MLB handle injury timelines and expectations. David Stearns says the Mets expect Francisco Lindor to be ready for Opening Day, while other organizations take a far more cautious tone. The guys compare Lindor's situation to Corbin Carroll and Jackson Holliday, and debate whether honesty or optimism is the better approach, including comments from Orioles GM Mike Elias. Then the focus shifts to the Knicks and the growing frustration around Karl-Anthony Towns. Why has he become such a lightning rod for criticism, and why did even the MSG broadcast turn on him? With clips and reactions from Mike Breen and Clyde Frazier, the discussion breaks down the complaints, the fouls, and whether KAT needs to change how he plays and carries himself on the court.
