The stage is set with the Los Angeles Dodgers facing the Toronto Blue Jays in the fall classic! Clayton Kershaw will be on the Dodgers' World Series roster. Alex Vesia probably won't be, at least at the start. LA's starting rotation is set, and the Dodgers hitters are champing at the bit to face Toronto's pitching. Will Shohei Ohtani stay hot? Can Blake Snell, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Tyler Glasnow also continue to dominate on the mound? Will Max Muncy and Freddie Freeman feast on the righty-heavy Blue Jays rotation? Can Mookie Betts, Will Smith, Teoscar Hernandez, Tommy Edman, Andy Pages, and Kiké Hernandez pull their weight, too? And will LA's bullpen be a strength or a weakness? Clint Pasillas and Jeff Snider are here to preview all of this and more! Tube in all postseason long! Leave a voicemail or text the Friend of the Show hotline! RUNDOWN In the aftermath of the Mariners' heartbreaking Game 7 loss to the Blue Jays, Mitch Levy and guest co-host Danny O'Neil of The Dang Apostrophe open Episode 355 with Danny confessing that he's “pretty mad,” venting at an online heckler named Tad Piland while Mitch directs his anger toward the Fox broadcast crew for comparing Toronto fans' “long wait” to Seattle's five decades of heartbreak. The conversation pivots to the Seahawks, whose 27-19 win over Houston somehow feels more lucky than convincing. Danny rails against red-zone play-calling and Cooper Kupp's gadget-pass interception, while Mitch notes that at 5-2, Seattle still looks like a playoff team in a vulnerable NFC. In the season's final Mariners No-Table, Mitch is joined by Brady Farkas (Refuse to Lose Podcast) and Joe Doyle (Over Slot) to dissect Seattle's crushing Game 7 loss to the Blue Jays in the ALCS. The trio reflect on the gut-wrenching ending, the broadcast's “Toronto sympathy” narrative, and the irony of yet another near-miss season for long-suffering Mariners fans. Both guests try to balance heartbreak with appreciation for an unforgettable year that included Cal Raleigh's historic 60-homer season, Brian Woo's rise to ace status, and J.P. Crawford's clutch moments. The crew breaks down Seattle's Monday Night Football win over Houston — a game defined by the defense and marred by offensive miscues. Brady and Jacson praise Ernest Jones and Drake Thomas for anchoring a top-five-level unit that pressured C.J. Stroud all night, holding Texans running backs to just 31 yards. On offense, Sam Darnold's four turnovers and a baffling Cooper Kupp trick-play interception left points on the field, but Jackson Smith-Njigba's 123-yard night and a late show of maturity salvaged it. CBS analyst Rick Neuheisel, presented by Taco Time Northwest, returns to unpack a chaotic Week 8 — from Indiana's Kurt Signetti leading the Hoosiers to No. 2 in the nation to Clark Lea's Vanderbilt stunning LSU. Rick tells the underdog stories of the year: two former football “afterthoughts” now crashing the playoff picture. He credits Signetti's “bet on himself” coaching path and calls Vandy's 2025 run “one of the greatest modern turnarounds in college football.” GUESTS Daniel Timothy O'Neil | The Dang Apostrophe on Substack Brady Farkas | Host, Refuse to Lose Podcast (Mariners on SI) Joe Doyle | MLB Draft & Mariners Analyst, Over-Slot Substack Brady Henderson | Seahawks Insider, ESPN Jacson Bevens | Writer, Cigar Thoughts Rick Neuheisel | CBS College Football Analyst, Former Head Coach & Rose Bowl Champion TABLE OF CONTENTS 0:00 | Game Seven Gut Punch: Seattle's Sports Hangover Hits Hard 4:35 | BEAT THE BOYS - Register at MitchUnfiltered.com 8:08 | Two Runs from Glory, Miles from Satisfaction 31:47 | GUEST: Mariners No-Table; Game Seven Heartbreak: Mariners Fall Short of the World Series in Toronto 1:02:40 | GUEST: Seahawks No-Table; Defense Carries Seattle to 27–19 Win as Darnold Struggles and JSN Shines 1:28:04 | GUEST: Rick Neuheisel; Indiana's Miracle Run, Vandy's Rise, and Dabo's Slide — Rick Neuheisel on the Wild State of College Football 1:55:43 | Other Stuff Segment: Shohei Ohtani's three-homer ten-strikeout masterpiece, Washington's missed chances in Ann Arbor and upcoming Illinois matchup, Florida firing Billy Napier with speculation around Jed Fisch and Lane Kiffin, Seahawks bye-week talk and whether Tyler Lockett could return, Teoscar Hernandez refusing to stay at Milwaukee's haunted Pfister Hotel, ghost stories, and baseball superstition. Even though Alex Bregman decided to opt out and gave all the signs of wanting to return to Boston, Arcand doesn't believe Bregman will be back with the Red Sox. Why Scott Boras and the price should drive the Sox away? Then, almost everyone on the Sox coaching staff are currently expected to return, but that isn't the best strategy when trying to eliminate team errors. And, Teoscar Hernandez has the most unique reason for not staying with the Dodgers in their team hotel in Milwaukee.

Drama's hitting every corner of sports! Breece Hall sparks Jets gossip with a cryptic #Free20 post, while Boomer daydreams about QB Fernando Mendoza (or “Martinez”) and wonders where Mac Jones and Deshaun Watson will land next. Kevin Stefanski reacts to Mike Tomlin's Flacco trade hot take, Todd Bowles goes wild over a Baker Mayfield play, and Bears fans slam Troy Aikman's harsh words on Caleb Williams — all while Ben Johnson fields the heat on Chicago radio. Dodgers crush the Brewers 2-0 thanks to Yamamoto's complete game, and Teoscar Hernandez avoids the haunted Pfister Hotel because his wife won't stay there. Meanwhile, Al admits he's scared of ghosts, and Gio can't get into Monster: The Ed Gein Story on Netflix.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto saw Blake Snell's dominant performance in NLCS Game 1 and decided he wanted to get in on the action, hurling a gem of his own to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 5-1 victory and a 2-0 series lead. Yamamoto threw a complete game, completely shutting down the Brewers' offense after allowing a home run on the first pitch he threw. Meanwhile, the L.A. offense showed up with big homers from Teoscar Hernandez and Max Muncy and key RBI hits from Andy Pages, Shohei Ohtani, and Tommy Edman. All in all, it was a more relaxing win than Monday night, and now the Dodgers head back to Los Angeles in the driver's seat. Tube in all postseason long! The MLB Postseason started this past Tuesday when the Dodgers played the Reds. But today, it felt like the PLAYOFFS started. In Game 1 of the National League Division Series, Shohei Ohtani pitched six innings for the win, Roki Sasaki capped a good team bullpen performance to earn the save, and Kiké Hernandez and Teoscar Hernandez both had HUGE hits to give the Los Angeles Dodgers all the runs they needed. Tyler Glasnow and Alex Vesia also have big relief appearances, Andy Pages might have done some really smart pitch reading from the bases, and Phillies manager Rob Thomson might have made a managing blunder that helped LA. In the end, the Dodgers won a crucial Game 1 to steal home-field advantage and now have a chance to get greedy and win Game 2 to head home to LA needing just one more win. Can they win Game 2? We'll find out on Monday. For now, let's enjoy this one. Tube in all season long! Leave a voicemail or text the Friend of the Show hotline!
Shohei Ohtani and Teoscar Hernandez each homered twice, Tommy Edman added a homer of his own, and Blake Snell was dominant for seven innings as the Dodgers beat the Reds, 10-5, in Game 1 of the National League Wild Card Series. How did the Reds score five runs if Snell was so dominant, you ask? Well, you see, the Los Angeles bullpen was involved, so of course it wasn't as easy as we would have liked. Alex Vesia struggled, Edgardo Henriquez was terrible, and the Reds put up a fight in the eighth inning. Luckily, it was too little, too late, and the Dodgers complete the win. Join Clint Pasillas, Jeff Snider, and Kevin Skinner to talk about the good, the bad, and the other good (plus the bad that is ESPN). Tube in all season long! The Los Angeles Dodgers roller coaster continues. After getting swept by a mediocre Angels team, the Dodgers swept the surging Padres and seemed to have turned a corner. On Monday evening, though, LA wasted a very good start from Yoshinobu Yamamoto and lost to the Colorado Rockies, the worst team in baseball. A big part of that loss was the defense of Teoscar Hernandez, whose lack of range gave the Rockies at least one run and probably more. In his second game back from injury, Max Muncy had four hits, including two homers, and drove in four runs. Not to be outdone, Teoscar Hernandez had two homers and four RBIs of his own.
