Concerns are reportedly growing within the Mets organization about Juan Soto's unhappiness, which seemed evident in his performance against the Yankees. Calls poured in discussing Soto's struggles and attitude. Boomer also contrasted Caitlyn Clark as a "needle mover" with Soto as a "negative needle mover." Jerry then played audio of Pete Alonso's errant throw to Senga, and Frank The Tank had another outburst after the Mets' loss. The segment concluded with a cameraman from the Discovery Channel's "Storm Chasers," sparking Gio's desire to witness a tornado.
Hour 1 The Mets lost to Boston, with much of the focus on Juan Soto's lack of hustle after hitting a single. Rumors suggest Soto is unhappy with the Mets, preferring the Yankees, and some in the organization are concerned. Pete Alonso also had a poor throwing error. Jerry's update covered the Mets' loss and Carlos Mendoza's discussion of hitting with runners in scoring position. Soto defended his effort when questioned about his slow start out of the box. Tyrese Haliburton expressed excitement about playing at MSG, despite an incident where Knicks fans threw trash at a Pacers fan, prompting Haliburton to invite the fan to Indiana for Game 4. Finally, the NFL is reportedly allowing players to participate in Olympic flag football in 2028. Hour 2 Boomer feels the Knicks are still disrespected despite being series favorites and second favorites for the championship. Gio believes the animosity is directed at the fan base, not players like Jalen Brunson or Mikal Bridges. Jerry provided an update, starting with Juan Soto's explanation for his slow hustle on a ball hit off the Green Monster. The "All The Smoke" podcast reportedly dislikes the Knicks due to their fans, though Brian Windhorst on the Dan Patrick show highlighted the Knicks reaching the finals, especially the Brunson storyline, as compelling. Shaq recalled David Stearns asking his preferred draft location, choosing Orlando for its warm climate. In a surprising twist, the "All The Smoke" podcast later praised the Knicks' organ player. The segment concluded with a cameraman from the Discovery Channel's "Storm Chasers," sparking Gio's desire to witness a tornado. Hour 4 Discussion centered on Juan Soto's "perks" with the Mets, leading to a tangent about the availability and use of "nudie magazines" at airports and in the WFAN bathroom. Jerry's final update included sounds of the Mets' loss in Boston, highlighting Soto's single after misjudging a ball off the Green Monster. Jerry also admitted Boomer's anti-Nets stance makes him root against the Knicks. Tyrese Haliburton expressed excitement for the MSG crowd. The "Moment of The Day" revisited the "nudie magazine" in the WFAN bathroom topic. The segment concluded with discussions about dinner plans and the guest list for the "Kickoff to Summer" show.

Post-Gazette Pirates insider Noah Hiles previews the club's series against the New York Mets at Citi Field. Can Paul Skenes, Mitch Keller and Bailey Falter build on the series win against the Atlanta Braves and stifle a powerful Mets lineup that includes names like Pete Alonso, Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor? And how will Andrew McCutchen, Ke'Bryan Hayes and the offense handle a Mets pitching staff that's been better than expected? Especially if Oneil Cruz misses more time? Noah tackles those questions and more.
Send us a text#Yankees Aaron Judge is now on pace for 56 home runs which would surprise exactly nobody! Judge also has a #MLB leading 39 RBIs which over 162 games would be 156 RBIs. That hasn't been done since A-Rod did it for those same Yankees in 2007. But the real question is can Judge maintain his +.400 batting average? Doubtful but fun to watch! #Pirates CF O'neil Cruz leads MLB on pace for 60+ SBs. Can he keep that up? He has a new manager now that Derek Shelton has been let go. Bud Black of the #Rockies was also dismissed this weekend. Probably doing him and the franchise a favor as the team has been historically awful and had a historically awful week! Max Fried has a MLB league leading ERA at 1.04. He's in place to start the ASG if this keeps up. But how about #Royals Kris Dubic? He's had an excellent start to the season and is largely forgotten behind Cole Ragans and Seth Lugo. #Tigers Skubal has rounded into form but the loss of Casey Mize will hurt the Motor City kitties. #Dodgers Shohei Ohtani has been routinely amazing such that it's no longer notable! From the moment we hear those first notes blaring through stadium speakers, something magical happens. Baseball's walk-up songs do more than just fill empty space—they transform ordinary at-bats into cinematic moments, creating instant connections between players and fans.Matt and Sam dive into the fascinating world of MLB entrance music, exploring how these brief musical snippets reveal player personalities while energizing crowds. Whether it's Francisco Lindor's unexpected choice of "My Girl" that has entire Mets crowds singing in unison long after the music stops, or the bass-heavy swagger of Aaron Judge's "Swag Surfin'" that signals a potential home run, these musical decisions are carefully calculated for maximum impact. The conversation spans from classic rock anthems like "Layla" (Pete Alonso) and "Whole Lotta Love" (Austin Wells) to contemporary hits from Rihanna and Lil Baby, with each selection offering insight into the player behind it. We even venture into international territory with Korean star Young Hoo Lee's electrifying choice of Supreme Team's "Dang, Dang, Dang."Beyond the music itself, Matt and Sam explore the fascinating superstitions surrounding walk-up songs, including Nick Castellanos's strange reputation for hitting home runs during tragic news broadcasts, and how players often change their music during slumps or hitting streaks. With players getting just 30 seconds to make an impression through sound, every beat counts.Whether you're a baseball die-hard or simply appreciate how music heightens dramatic moments, this episode delivers an entertaining look at the soundtrack of America's pastime.
