The Podcast has been off for awhile with Zig Zags touring and writing for the next album but it got me thinking about prank calls and other things to listen to when you're in the van and you can't all agree on the same music. I can't remember exactly where I first heard the Derek Tape, but I've listened to it more times than I can count and I'm always surprised when people I meet in other bands haven't heard it. I got sick of trying to tell people where they could find it online so I decided to do an episode that features the phone call in it's entirety. Luckily I'm friends with Sean Kelly who happens to be the original source for the tape so I had him come over and explain a couple details. So if you're on the road or just hanging with some friends, put this sucker on and trip out on some of the best acid fueled descriptions of rock and roll, run ins with the law and drug overdosed parking mishaps. You're listening to Jedbanger's Ball.

When I first met Andy Kadin he seemed like a regular guy who worked in advertising. Soon though I could tell he was funny, smart and kind and we quickly became friends. When he told me he wanted to open an East Coast style sandwich shop I tried to offer any help or knowledge I had as a self taught chef. Years later the dude is running a fucking bread empire not far from where this episode was taped. This is my "How I Built This" episode as we follow Andy on his path from the soul-crushing world of advertising to the back breaking life of a baker. You're listening to Jedbanger's Ball
