They Settled The Lawsuit, Arrested By His Agency. They settled the lawsuit after he was wrongfully arrested by the Sheriff of his own agency. The case, drew local, Statewide and Federal attention across various news outlets, highlighted issues with how the Sheriff's Office handled military leave policies. Despite being cleared legally, the impact of the arrest still follows him, posts about the incident on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and appearing in radio shows and podcasts like the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast, available on their website and on Apple, Spotify and most podcast platforms. He talks about the challenges he faced. While his name has been legally cleared, the stigma remains, affecting his career and reputation in both military and civilian circles. Follow the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Newsbreak, Medium and most all social media platforms. In a case marked by controversy, legal battles, and lingering consequences, Ian Murray, a U.S. military veteran and former corrections officer for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO), settled a lawsuit following a wrongful arrest by his own agency. But did he get cleared by them, or did they admit that he did nothing wrong? The free episode of the "Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast", is available on their website for free in addition to Apple Podcasts and Spotify, as well as through other podcast platforms. Murray's ordeal began when he was arrested by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office on charges of felony theft related to military leave as a reservist and member of the National Guard. The arrest and subsequent media coverage spread across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, affecting Murray's reputation and career. The news reached popular podcasts on Apple and Spotify, highlighting the complexity of the case. Look for supporting stories about this and much more from Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast in platforms like Medium, Newsbreak and Blogspot. Military Service and Early Struggles, They Settled The Lawsuit, Arrested By His Agency. Ian Murray's military career spans two decades, including a deployment to Afghanistan in 2017 and another deployment from September 2023 to April 2024. He reached his 20-year military anniversary in December 2022, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to serving his country. Murray began his tenure at the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office in 2009. However, tension arose quickly between him and a supervising sergeant regarding his military leave obligations. According to Murray, the hostility escalated, resulting in punitive measures, including an extended probation period that coincided with his military duties. Follow the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and podcast on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Newsbreak, Medium and most all social media platforms Murray sought assistance from Human Resources and the Fraternal Order of Police, aiming to address the perceived unequal treatment. Despite his efforts, the situation deteriorated. By 2014, he was instructed to change a military leave day to personal leave or face disciplinary action. When he complied, his request was denied, and a formal complaint was filed against him. The Arrest, They Settled The Lawsuit, Arrested By His Agency. In June 2014, Murray received orders to attend military training at Fort Devens in Massachusetts. Before departing, he used personal leave to spend time with his family. During this time, four members of the JSO Integrity Unit, dressed in tactical gear and displaying badges, arrived at his home to arrest him. The interview is available as a free podcast on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and podcast website, also available on platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and most major podcast outlets. The arrest sent shockwaves through local news, with outlets quickly publishing reports of the incident. Headlines such as "Corrections Officer Arrested for Grand Theft and Falsifying Official Documents" circulated, tarnishing Murray's reputation. The Sheriff's Office alleged that Murray had submitted falsified military leave requests, an accusation that cast a long shadow over his career. Murray later discovered that the Sheriff's Office had been monitoring his personal Facebook account, using family photos to build a case against him. These images were misrepresented as evidence of Murray misusing his military leave. The actions were not officially acknowledged or addressed by the agency. Check out the show on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Newsbreak, Medium and most all social media platforms The Aftermath and Lawsuit Settlement, They Settled The Lawsuit, Arrested By His Agency. Despite the arrest and accusations, the prosecutor's office eventually dropped the charges against Murray. He was never formally prosecuted for any criminal offense. However, the damage to his reputation remained. The allegations continued to appear during routine security clearance evaluations for his work as a defense contractor. In late 2022, after a lengthy legal battle alongside his attorney, Murray reached a settlement with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. The lawsuit confirmed that there was no wrongdoing on Murray's part, legally clearing his name. Yet, there has been minimal coverage of the settlement in traditional news outlets. Most of the public acknowledgment has come through podcasts and social media discussions on platforms like Facebook and LinkedIn. It is available as a free podcast on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and most major podcast platforms. To this day, Murray asserts that the Sheriff's Office has not publicly admitted any wrongdoing or taken steps to clear his name. In the podcast interview, he expressed frustration about the lingering effects of the false allegations. “Despite being legally cleared, those news reports still come up when I undergo security evaluations,” he shared. The case serves as a cautionary tale about the power of misinformation, the complexities of military leave policies, and the consequences of inadequate internal investigations. It's been a big week, is there any other kind these days, in politics. In Scotland we've seen events to mark the 10th anniversary of the 2014 independence referendum. Lesley was not only a central figure during that campaign but has also taken part in many of those events. There were some stellar speakers with some surprising viewpoints on currency and the EU.Check these two sites for possible future videos from the conferencehttps://www.spvr.orghttps://www.reservebank.scotMeanwhile in Liverpool it was the Labour Party Conference. We watched it so you didn't have to. Monday saw Rachel Reeves, Ian Murray, and Anas Sarwar( yup he showed up) take centre stage. We analyse their speeches , particularly what Labour's strategy for Holyrood 2026 will be,  and the "big one" on Tuesday from Sir Keir Starmer. Is there "light at the end of the tunnel", as he claims, or simply a train heading towards us?Sarwar also appeared on Good Morning Scotland, two sightings in two days-we're blessed- where he was questioned on the means testing of the winter fuel allowance. Did he fare any better than Ian Murray in his interview with Martin Geissler on Sunday?Much focus has been placed on Labour "freebies" but little has been said about the influence Lord Alli may have had within the party or the massive donation from Quadrature Capital which only became public post election. We redress that balance.  ★ Support this podcast ★

No matter how it's spun last week's General Election result was a disaster for the SNP.Can a detailed analysis of the drop from 50% of the popular vote in 2014 to 30% and the reduction to just 9 MPs be carried out without descending into bitterness and the rabbit hole of recrimination?Where did the disconnect between half the Scottish electorate's desire for independence and the party's poor showing come from? Was it all about getting the Tories out or a verdict on domestic governance?Does the fall in voter turnout signal something deeply broken about politics?Focus is now being turned on what happens next now that Labour is in power at Westminster. Three interviews, one with Anas Sarwar, the others with Ian Murray and Jackie Baillie offered more than a glimpse into the Scottish dimension. Both of these took place within the framework of Rachel Reeves' first statement as Chancellor and the appointment of Sir Alan Milburn as advisor to Health Secretary Wes Streeting.Lesley appeared on The Tortoise podcast which gave her an insight into the thoughts and attitudes of the English left towards the new Labour government.Meanwhile the second round of votes in the French General Election took place on Sunday and The New Popular Front emerged as the largest party grouping. South Africa's local, community engagement trumps Australia's, manganese miner reports

This audio is brought to you by Wearcheck, your condition monitoring specialist. The South African mining industry is years ahead of its international peers when it comes to local and community engagement, Australia-listed Jupiter Mines, which owns 49.9% of the Tshipi manganese mine in South Africa's Northern Cape, told its shareholders on Tuesday. The controlling shareholder of the a long-life, low-cost Tshipi is South Africa's Ntsimbintle Mining, chaired by Saki Macozoma. "This is a very strong base from which we intend to grow," Jupiter chairperson Ian Murray told Jupiter's annual general meeting (AGM). "I want to note the tremendous local and community engagement, which is so important in today's world of mining," said Murray, who put South Africa's unrivalled community engagement position down to its early start in 1994 under the King Report of Corporate Governance. Regarding Australia's own indigenous community, Murray made a point of highlighting the Whadjuk Noongar people, "on whose land we meet today", and extended acknowledgment to the First Nations on all the lands Jupiter operates on Down Under. The Noongar people's Whadjuk language group are the traditional owners of the land around Perth. When it comes to South African manganese ore, which is renowned for its high quality, Jupiter and South Africa's Manganese Metal Co (MMC) are aspiring to produce high-pressure manganese sulphate monohydrate (HPMSM) for the battery electric vehicle (BEV) and battery energy markets. They will both make use of South African ore, while the Botswana HPMSM aspirant, the Canada-owned Giyani Metals, intends using the manganese that it mines in Botswana. Interestingly, Giyani has secured $16-million in financing from South Africa's Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) to advance an HPMSM project in Botswana ahead of the well-researched South African aspirant, MMC, which has been ready for some time to go ahead with a 5 000 t/y demonstration plant in Mbombela. MMC has been clear that once its accredited HPMSM goes into the batteries of the world, its local operation will be able to step out and put South Africa on the map. MMC talks with considerable authority because it has been making the world's purest manganese metal for 49 years. Successful demonstration of the MMC business case would then result in a bigger commercial plant. Jupiter, meanwhile, has produced a 99.9% pure sample of HPMSM using the Northern Cape's manganese ore and bringing into service an internally developed hydrometallurgical production process. Growing into the downstream BEV market will be done at a fast pace off an initial small base amid steel industry demand for manganese continuing to advance at around population level growth. Jupiter, meanwhile, has reported a group net profit after tax of $76.5-million for the financial year ended February, and has achieved an average dividend yield more than double the average of the Australian Stock Exchange. More than 100% of its current market capitalisation has been paid in dividends in the last five years, from a mine that still has more than 100 years of life. High-purity manganese for batteries is actually not very pure in terms of manganese: "It's about 32% contained, but you need to clean up everything else, all the other minerals that are in your ore body. That's what battery grade manganese is. There is going to be high growth in demand for battery grade manganese and that's why we're interested in it," Jupiter CEO Brad Rogers told AGM attendees. Encouragingly, MMC already produces 3% of the world's manganese metal in the form of selenium-free electrolytic manganese metal (EMM). Fifty-six per cent of this is sold to Japan, 25% to the US, and 10% to Europe. The EMM is 99.9% pure, beating the next highest 99.7%. For some time, MMC customers have been buying ids EMM to dissolve it and make HPMSM, which has prompted the extension into HPMSH by MMC itself. A far-reaching new horizon is now extending for MMC, we...

He was deeply effected by the Great Awakening and was careful in his understanding and teaching of the theology of revival during his day. While there are a great many of his writings we could spend time discussing, we want to begin a new series this week honing in on five letters he wrote while ministering to those “in the autumn of life.” But before we get into the content of his letters, we want to introduce you to Archibald himself. He was a rare mixture of intellect and heart. That reality comes through in his writing and ministry. For this series we will be doing two giveaways. The first will be this week where we are giving away one copy of Revival and Revivalism by Ian Murray. We have spoken of this book before. If you don't have a copy, sign up to enter to win this one.
