"Lessons from the Law" • Brother Jonah Lowrance - Brother Jonah reflected on Joshua 1:8-9 and the importance of remembering the Law of God. He then highlighted a number of passages in the Law that have been of great importance to him for the past four years. These would include Genesis 1:1-5 about the creation of the world by the Eternal God. Genesis 1 & 2 about the creation of man and woman. Exodus 2:23-25 and God's help for His people. Deuteronomy 6:4-5 about how we are commanded to love God with our whole person. Then finally, Numbers 25 in reference to the zeal we ought to have for God.

"Study and Have Hope" • 2nd Timothy 2:15-19 - Brother Jonah Lowrance. We are to study the word of God enough so that when we are faced with discouragement or false doctrines, we will remember that our salvation is secure in the finished work of Jesus Christ, and we will not be shaken from our faith. "Let" • Romans 6:11-12; Matthew 5:16; 16:24; John 14:1-4; Romans 14:19; Galatians 6:9-10;Philippians 2:3-8; Colossians 3:16; Hebrews 13:1; & 1st John 4:7-11 - Elder Bryce Lowrance. Since we have been born of the Spirit of God, we are no longer servants to sin. We can now choose to do the right thing. In this message, Elder Lowrance picks up where Brother Jonah finished, and reminds us that we called to make the right choices as children of God and let righteousness, peace, and love reign in our lives.

Between Moses' decision of faith in Hebrews 11:26 and his courageously delivering Israel from Egyptian bondage in verse 27, Moses had a lot of growth in grace and faith that needed to happen so that he could be the proper instrument of God's deliverance. Moses' zeal got ahead of God's timing when he killed the Egyptian and had to flee to Midian. While there, Moses learns patience, obedience, and how to trust the promises of God. These lesson prepared him to lead Israel to the promised land.

"Moses' Decision of Fatih" • Hebrews 11:24-26 - Elder Bryce Lowrance. The next example of living by faith in Hebrews, Chapter 11 is Moses. Here, the Apostle lists more than one act of faith by Moses. His first act was a decision. Moses decided to be identified with the people of God rather than continue being called part of the royal family in Egypt. By rejecting his adoptive rights, Moses chose to suffer physically, financially, and in many other ways. The sole reason behind this decision was because he believed the promise of God and looked for the better resurrection that his forefathers sought.

"Authority of the Gospel" • Galatians 1:1-18 - Brother Jonah Lowrance. Brother Jonah explained the Apostle Paul's confidence in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus to the extent that he encourages the Galatian Christians to ignore anyone who would teach something apart from that Gospel. Christians today ought to do the same thing. They ought to be confident in the good news that it is Christ who died for our sins and saves us by His grace alone. "According to His Will, Not Ours" • Galatians 1:4-6; Romans 5:6-15; & 1st Corinthians 15:19-26 - Elder Bryce Lowrance. Our great hope is that Christ's death didn't just restore us to the state of Adam in the Garden of Eden but to a glorified state of eternal life. Continuing in Galatians and progressing to the Apostle Paul's letters to the Ephesians and the Corinthians, Elder Bryce shows that to truly give glory to God for complete salvation in Jesus Christ, we must understand man's total inability to move toward God in his fallen nature. The entire human race is guilty by the sion of Adam, but all the elect are justified in Jesus Christ.

Based on the blessing of the Holy Ghost, the words of Jesus, and the Old Testament Scriptures, they come to the conclusion that all are saved in the same way by "the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ."

This shows that he sought another country like his forefathers and believed in the resurrection. Through one of the most striking trials of faith we find in the Bible, we learn that walking by faith is not blind faith like many describe it. Abraham did not toss out reason when he willingly offered up Isaac. He reasoned that God would raise him from the dead since he was the promised son. We do not have to take blind leaps of faith either. We have the will of God revealed to us in His word, the Bible. No matter what we do, we just don't feel quite at home even when things are going well. This is because our long sought home is in heaven with Jesus. When we walk by faith we have a more sure hope of that home to come. "The Death of Saul" • 1st Samuel 31 & 2nd Samuel 1 - Brother Jonah Lowrance. King Saul is the sad example of a child of God that stopped walking by faith and sought comfort and confidence in this world. He died miserably but David laments his death and the death of his son Jonathan. This shows us how we should view fellow children of God who have brought destruction into their lives. We should view them with pity, mercy, and love.

We are shown by this testimony in the New Testament that Sarah did in fact trust God that He would give her a child but the historical account in Genesis shows that her act of faith was also mixed with doubt. This is important to understand because this is the common experience for all children of God. Our faith is not the foundation of our eternal justification but it is the source of our assurance of salvation. When we walk by faith, we have a greater hope.

He, his son's family, and his grandson's family sojourned in that promised land in tents, only owning a small area to bury their dead. Abraham did not presume to lord over God's promise. He understood that the physical land promised to him and his posterity pointed toward a greater inheritance. So Abraham sought for a heavenly home and is the perfect example for us to walk by faith.Abraham is the perfect example for us. We are to lose more and more sight of this earth so that we can keep our heavenly home in view.

As our Savior told us, the latter days before His return will be a lot like the days of Noah. We have been given a promise of the Lord's return even though the world doesn't believe it and visible evidence shows no signs of His coming. So, just as Noah walked with God by faith trusting solely in His word, we should do the same. "When David Didn't Walk by Faith" • 1st Samuel 27-29 - Brother Jonah Lowrance. David was a man after God's own heart but that did not make him an automaton controlled by God. He was still a man that had the ability to walk by faith or not. In these chapters, Brother Jonah shows us the resulting disaster in David's life when he chose to walk by his own will and not by the faith that God had given him. His league that he made with the Philistines led to further lies and deceptions. But most importantly, David learned that walking without faith leads to continual insecurity.

"Our Great High Priest" • Hebrews 4:14-5:10 - Elder Bryce Lowrance. The way to God is guarded from us because of our sin. Therefore, we need a high priest to make intercession for us with a Holy God. Jesus Christ is our Great High Priest. He perfectly fills the role of priest in that He offered Himself once for our sins and is compassionately giving us aide in times of need. "Fear God More than Man" • 1st Samuel 16 & Acts 9 - Brother Jonah Lowrance. As children of God, we have the responsibility to make good choices in our discipleship. Part of those choices includes how we deal with the power of men and the power of God. When we fear men more than we fear God, it does not go well for us. When we fear God rather than fearing what men can do to us, we find that we are on a blessed path of righteousness in God's favor.

"Jesus Is Superior to the Angels" • Hebrews 2:5-18 - Elder Bryce Lowrance. After a short but clear warning in the first few verses of chapter 2, the Apostle Paul continues his argument that Jesus is superior to the angels that he began in the first chapter. Not only is Jesus superior because He created all things, He has all things put in subjection under Him in the new heaven and new earth as well. The glorious hope of the resurrection is a great comfort to the elect of God who are secured in Jesus Christ by the covenant of redemption and His finished work on the cross.

"Israel in the Time of David" • 1st Samuel - Brother Jonah Lowrance continues in a series of sermons concerning the life of David, looking closely at the world in which David grew up in as written in 1st Samuel. He breaks down some of Israel's missteps during this time and what they were thinking, warning that we have made the same mistakes and can think the same way the Israelites did then by having a low view of God or following after other false gods. He then recounts Israel's request for a king and the eventual anointing of Saul as king over Israel and how exactly Saul ruled. Brother Jonah then considers how we should desire to live in a way to please our victorious, heavenly King and quickly recalls three things the Lord has done for us and how to call them to mind every day.

“The Final Word” of "Divine Revelation Is Complete" • Hebrews 1:1-2 - Elder Bryce Lowrance. Speaking again from the first two verses of the letter to the Hebrews, Elder Lowrance teaches how God progressively revealed His identity and will over the space of 1,500 years by the inspired writings of about 45 men. The apex of this revelation was when Jesus came and taught His disciples. Through the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, those men wrote the words of the New Testament and provided for God's people everything they need to know about God, themselves, and their duty to Him. "The Zeal of Phinehas" • Numbers 25 - Brother Jonah Lowrance. Brother Jonah exhorts us to do whatever is necessary to promote the righteousness of God in our lives and the lives of those around us. We should not be concerned with how we are viewed or judged. When God's will is not being obeyed, we must take drastic measures to glorify Him and make intercession for our loved ones.

"Hannah and the Birth of Samuel" • 1st Samuel - Brother Jonah Lowrance. Hannah was barren but greatly desired a son. She prayed to God with the promise to devote him to the service of God. God answered her prayer and gave her Samuel. This shows us that God is delighted to answer prayers that ultimately lead to His glory. "What God Says About Jesus" • Hebrews 1:4-14 - Elder Bryce Lowrance. The Apostle Paul makes a two-pronged defense of the superiority of Jesus Christ over the angels. The first argument is that Jesus is God. Jesus is the Son; angels are His servants. Christ is King; angels are His subjects. Jesus is the Creator; angels are created beings. Therefore, He is higher than the angels and deserves our praise and worship.
