    I was given the opportunity to sit down with my cousin, David Kinerk, and discuss with him white privilege and his experiences being biracial, black, and white.  I hope this will help shed some light on what things those of color have to deal with and their struggles solely based on the color of their skin. People of color are not asking white people to apologize for what they have or what was done to blacks, but please acknowledge that "white privilege" exists, as does systemic racism; don't add to the problem by denying such things exist, be part of the solution to even out the playing field for all people.
