In this episode of The Crazy Ex-Wives Club, I sit down with empowerment coach, wellness consultant, and author Danna Giroux—who knows firsthand how rebuilding your life after divorce isn't just about moving on…it's about coming home to yourself.Danna shares how her divorce became the catalyst for rediscovering her strength—physically, mentally, and spiritually. We dig deep into the connection between divorce recovery and wellness, from using meditation to calm the chaos, to the small but mighty food and sleep shifts that rewire resilience from the inside out.We also talk about what happens when we try to numb the pain instead of feel it, and why prioritizing your own healing is the most radical (and necessary) act of self-love. This episode is your gentle reminder that you are worth the care, the calm, and the comeback.

In this episode, Phi chats with Nelly Kalla, with a Functional Nutritionist, Herbalist and Holistic Health Coach who took her healing into her own hands after struggling with psoriasis. We explore the deep connection between gut health, genetics, and emotional well-being—unpacking how childhood environment, parental influence and even the womb experience shape our long-term health. Nelly also speaks about her experience running a product and service based business too. If you're ready to rethink what healing looks like, this episode is packed with wisdom you won't want to miss. She shares how these conditions were not just physical but deeply tied to emotional wounds—especially anger and a lack of security from childhood. We explore how the environment we are born into, along with the role of our parents and even our genetic gut biome, shapes our health from the very beginning. She shares why gut healing is often about simplicity—doing less rather than overloading the body with excessive supplements or diets. We also discuss common digestive issues, like bloating, and how to support the body in a way that actually works, rather than following trends that may not be effective for everyone. With so much conflicting advice on social media, she helps break down myths around self-diagnosing and the overwhelming flood of health trends that often cause more confusion than clarity.Beyond gut health, we explore the unseen toxins that impact our well-being—from environmental chemicals to everyday beauty products. Nelly started her product business as a teenager whilst having her own YouTube channel: a 100% clean, chemical-free approach to beauty and skincare. She explains why what we put on our bodies is just as important as what we put in them, and how detoxing from harmful products can be a key part of overall health.Throughout her years running her own business, Nelly also shares what it's like to build a career in holistic wellness—balancing education, entrepreneurship and personal healing. Whether you're curious about holistic nutrition, gut health, emotional well-being, or how to navigate the wellness world with discernment, this episode is packed with insight. Today, I interview Sarah Dawkins, who struggled with losing her voice after being constantly told to be quiet as a child. Her curiosity was often met with dismissal, and a negative experience in school left her feeling silenced and small. Later in life, despite her passion for teaching and helping others, the fear of public speaking deepened her internal struggle with self-expression.Sarah grew up in a strict household and found herself rebelling in her late teens as a way to reclaim her suppressed vibrancy. However, emotional wounds from her upbringing and bullying shaped her life choices, leading her to pursue a career in nursing where she could provide the care and support she had longed for.A major turning point came when Sarah began to question conventional approaches to health and healing. This exploration opened the door to self-healing and a new understanding of wellness that transformed her life.Today, Sarah helps clients reconnect with their own inner wisdom and strength. Through her book, podcast, and coaching, she guides people to take simple steps toward healing and discover the quiet voice that leads to transformation.__________________Sarah Dawkins is a highly sought-after Holistic Health and Healing Coach, Keynote Speaker, and the Author of HEAL YOURSELF.As a former Registered Nurse with over twenty years of medical experience, Sarah brings a unique, integrative perspective to her work. It was my first understanding in how diet, stress, and environment can have a major impact on our health."Heather - "Hi! I'm Heather and have been teaching Pilates since 1999. I am a Mother of 2 boys and I own this wonderful business where I get to help people find their groove again. After my first was born, I healed my Diastasis Recti and pelvic floor using the methods I have learned through Pilates and other DR work. After my second, I was so busy with the first, I had a much harder time healing my DR. After 3 years and still not loving the way everything looked, I dove deeper.I lift, CrossFit, and practice Pilates. My core was strong, but after having two babies late in the game (my first came when I was 37 and the second right before I tuned 40), I lost more elasticity than I was willing to admit. The work I had done was working to a point and halting.I found Sarah Duvall's Postpartum Exercise Specialist Certification program and through what I have learned from her and my own experience, I have been developing a system to help mamas heal their pelvic floor and Diastasis, help answer those embarrassing questions as to why I pee when I jump, and empower these mamas to feel strong and beautiful."Connect with Clare and Heather on Facebook and Instagram @mamacarecomplete or check them out on their website at www.mamacarecomplete.com.------------------------------------------------------Ready to get your toddler to listen in 2 seconds?Heather has her M.Ed, and a proud Twin Mama of busy toddlers. Original airdate: January 1, 2019 Feng Shui, the study of the movement of chi, is the Chinese word for energy. It guides that energy, letting it flow freely through your home, creating a healthy balance and sense of well-being. Kim Klein says our homes are the one place on earth to which we are most energetically connected. They nourish and support us and will always mirror us. That's why we need to be mindful caretakers. Kim shares tips on how we can do this and lots more in this episode. In addition to being a Holistic Health Coach, Kim is a Certified Feng Shui Consultant, graduating in 2004 from the three-year BTB (Black Tantric Buddhist) Masters Training Program in San Francisco. During our conversation, Kim introduces us to the ancient science of Feng Shui by describing how it works and how we can benefit from using its wisdom to correct the flow of this energy into and through our space. She provides simple tools and techniques in our homes and office spaces and shows us how to use Feng Shui to set our intentions for the New Year.
Marian Flaxmann, Holistic Health Coach, chef, and Biomedical Science Policy Wonk joined me on the Complicated Kids podcast to talk about food allergies, food as medicine and her journey to health. Fussy, colicky, rash-y, and uncomfortable are the words Marian uses to describe her first child as a newborn. She cried all the time; she needed to be held all the time. The doctors said this was ‘fine'; Marian didn't buy it. She googled something like, “Can babies be allergic to breastmilk” and decided to go on a temporary elimination diet. Within 24 hours, her baby's crying, gas, rash, and discomfort went away. And so began Marian's journey to heal her child's gut and microbiome. By adding foods back into her diet slowly, Marian was able to figure out the foods that her daughter was and wasn't allergic to. Marian brought this curiosity and her health knowledge to her other two daughters, who were also complicated kids. You won't want to miss this informative and lively conversation. In the words of Rachelle Davis: From the earliest days of my life, I've been drawn to the healing power of nature. The rustling leaves, the scent of blooming flowers, and the gentle touch of sunlight—all whispered secrets of well-being. Little did I know that this fascination would lead me on a transformative path, shaping not only my own destiny but also the lives of countless others. In 2012, I embarked on an overseas adventure as a Government contractor. My mission was clear: contribute to a cause greater than myself. Amidst the bustling streets and unfamiliar landscapes, I discovered a deeper purpose—an unyielding desire to promote holistic health. It was during those long nights, working tirelessly, that I sensed the first whispers of fatigue creeping in. Back Stateside in 2013, I decided to formalize my passion. I pursued certification as a **Holistic Health Coach**. Armed with knowledge about nutrition, mindfulness, and the interconnectedness of mind and body, I felt empowered. Little did I know that this certification would become the cornerstone of my life's work. The next six months were a tempest of stress. My supervisor's harsh words echoed in my mind, and the relentless night shifts drained my energy. Sleep became elusive, and my body rebelled. It was then that I faced a life-altering revelation: **Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)** had taken hold of me. I made a solemn promise—to myself and to others who felt invisible and unheard. Armed with determination, I embarked on a quest for healing. My regimen became my laboratory, and I experimented relentlessly. I researched, consulted experts, and listened to my body's whispers. Slowly, I pieced together the puzzle. Out of this struggle emerged **The 4 Core Blueprint**. It's not just a program; it's a lifeline. Let me share its essence: **Autonomic Balance**: We delve into the delicate dance of the autonomic nervous system. Restoring harmony becomes our mission. **Exercise Resilience**: Tailored exercise strategies—gentle yet powerful—guide you toward vitality. Your heart and lungs respond, and fatigue retreats. **Brain Empowerment**: The brain, our conductor, holds the key. We unlock the temporoparietal junction—the epicenter of fatigue decisions. Clarity dawns. **Immune Harmony**: B cells, guardians of immunity, find their rhythm. Our approach adapts to each unique soul. Rachelle Davis' interview proves that you can conquer chronic fatigue syndrome and not just reclaim your life but live it to the fullest. The 4 Core Blueprint isn't just a course; it's a community. We gather, share stories, and lift each other. We see the unseen, hear the unheard, and ignite hope. Together, we reclaim vitality. Top Tips It is important to become your own advocate, because your Doctor is only as good as their education. You should always do your own research.
