BUFFALO, NY – August 10, 2026 – A new #research paper was #published in Volume 17 of Oncotarget on August 7, 2026, titled “Delayed growth of SK-ES-1 Ewing sarcoma tumor xenografts is associated with reduced Trk and IGF1R pathway markers.” The study was led by first author Bruna Almeida dos Santos and corresponding author Caroline Brunetto de Farias, primarily affiliated with the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and the National Science and Technology Institute for Children's Cancer Biology and Pediatric Oncology (INCT BioOncoPed), with de Farias also affiliated with the Children's Cancer Institute (ICI) in Brazil. The research team investigated whether targeting tropomyosin receptor kinase (Trk) and related signaling pathways could interfere with Ewing sarcoma growth. Ewing sarcoma is an aggressive cancer that primarily affects children and adolescents and can arise in bone or soft tissue. Although modern multimodal treatments have substantially improved outcomes for patients with localized disease, the prognosis remains considerably poorer for metastatic or relapsed Ewing sarcoma. This has driven efforts to identify molecular pathways that could provide additional therapeutic targets. One potential target involves the Trk family of receptor tyrosine kinases. TrkA, TrkB, and TrkC are encoded by the NTRK1, NTRK2, and NTRK3 genes, respectively, and regulate intracellular signaling pathways involved in cell survival, differentiation, and growth. Previous work from the research group showed that TrkA and TrkB are expressed in Ewing sarcoma and that blocking these receptors can reduce tumor-cell proliferation. Os cooperados da Cresol Encostas da Serra Geral têm um compromisso importante nesta quinta-feira (30). A partir das 19h, será realizada, de forma totalmente on-line, a Assembleia Geral de Núcleo 2026, que terá como principal pauta a proposta de união entre a Cresol Encostas da Serra Geral e a cooperativa Cresol 13 de Maio. Durante entrevista ao programa Cruz de Malta Notícias, a gerente da agência de Lauro Müller, Rosi Nunes, e a coordenadora do Quadro Social e Sustentabilidade da cooperativa, Regiane de Farias, explicaram que a decisão será tomada exclusivamente pelos cooperados e representa um novo passo no processo de fortalecimento do sistema cooperativo. Segundo Rosi Nunes, a assembleia é um momento de participação efetiva dos associados nas decisões da cooperativa. "Hoje, às 19 horas, através da assembleia totalmente on-line, os cooperados poderão acompanhar, pela fala do presidente, o que a cooperativa pretende com essa junção das duas cooperativas", destacou. Regiane de Farias ressaltou que um dos grandes diferenciais do cooperativismo é justamente a gestão democrática. "As decisões são tomadas com os cooperados. Eles vão poder olhar essa proposta e dizer: 'isso é bom' ou 'isso não faz sentido para a gente'. Eles é que aprovam ou não essa decisão", afirmou. A coordenadora explicou que o processo de incorporação não é novidade dentro do sistema Cresol. A cooperativa já passou por outras integrações ao longo dos últimos anos e esse movimento acompanha uma tendência nacional entre instituições financeiras cooperativas. "Nos últimos dez anos, mais de 250 cooperativas de crédito fizeram esse movimento de se juntar para ficarem maiores e mais fortes", observou. De acordo com as entrevistadas, a união permitirá ampliar significativamente a área de atuação da Cresol em Santa Catarina. Atualmente, a cooperativa possui espaço para expansão em apenas mais um município. Com a incorporação da Cresol 13 de Maio, a área de abrangência passará para cerca de 83 municípios, abrindo novas possibilidades de instalação de agências em cidades da região. Regiane explicou que a medida também atende às exigências regulatórias do Banco Central e fortalece a sustentabilidade da cooperativa. "É um movimento de fortalecimento. Quanto mais agências e municípios uma cooperativa atende, mais forte ela fica. Somar forças é um dos princípios do cooperativismo", enfatizou. Além da expansão territorial, Rosi Nunes destacou que o fortalecimento da cooperativa gera benefícios diretos para as comunidades onde atua. Ela lembrou que parte dos resultados financeiros retorna para os municípios por meio de ações sociais e apoio a entidades beneficentes. "A Cresol tem isso na essência: fortalecer o município. Mais do que lucro, nós falamos em resultado. E esse resultado volta para a comunidade através das pessoas e das entidades", afirmou. A gerente revelou ainda que somente neste ano a cooperativa está destinando aproximadamente R$ 300 mil para instituições sem fins lucrativos por meio do Fundo Social. "Não se mensura apenas pelo dinheiro, mas pelo bem que essas entidades fazem para a comunidade", completou. A assembleia será realizada pela plataforma Assemblex. Para participar, basta acessar o link encaminhado pela cooperativa, informar o CPF e responder uma pergunta de confirmação cadastral. Durante a transmissão, os cooperados poderão acompanhar as apresentações, esclarecer dúvidas e registrar o voto favorável ou contrário à proposta. Regiane reforçou o convite para que todos os associados participem. "Se tiverem dúvidas, perguntem. Esse é o processo democrático em que a gente acredita. É um processo participativo, e a decisão está nas mãos dos cooperados."

Having saved a Brazilian man and an American woman, He brought them together in marriage, and called them to serve the people of the Dominican Republic as missionaries. The country is mostly Catholic, and cultural pressures sometimes keep people tied to the spiritual darkness even when they see their need for the Savior. The Farias work carefully and diligently to establish and maintain relationships that keep the doors open to sharing the true light of the gospel with the people. In this episode, we learn how God saved them, called them to the mission field, and what He is doing through them to bring the lost into His marvelous light. Ainda muito cedo, antes mesmo de dar os primeiros passos, a água já fazia parte da sua rotina. Com 1 ano e 9 meses, iniciou na piscina como parte de um trabalho de fisioterapia para tratar a hipotonia muscular nas pernas. Aos poucos, com o apoio da hidroterapia, ganhou força e mobilidade, até conseguir andar, quando tinha pouco mais de 2 anos. Iniciou na capoeira aos 3 anos e permaneceu por mais de uma década, trabalhando coordenação motora e ampliando suas possibilidades físicas. Aos 15 anos, deixou a capoeira e fez a transição para a natação. Aos poucos, a relação com a água ganhou outro significado. Em 2023, já nadando pelo Tijuca Tênis Clube, iniciou sua trajetória competitiva na natação paradesportiva. Logo na estreia, nas Paralimpíadas Escolares, etapa regional, conquistou 2 medalhas de ouro. Já na etapa nacional, foram 2 ouros, uma prata e dois bronzes. A partir daí, passou a competir com frequência em campeonatos brasileiros, meetings paralímpicos e Olimpíadas Especiais, acumulando resultados expressivos. Recentemente, conquistou a medalha de prata nos 400 metros medley no Campeonato Brasileiro de Natação da Confederação Brasileira de Desportos para Deficientes Intelectuais. Conosco aqui, o nadador e estudante de Educação Física, aprendiz de surfista e velejador, que nos mostra que a Síndrome de Down não é um limite, mas um convite para ir além, e que cada pessoa tem seu jeito único de brilhar e superar desafios, o carioca Rafael Rolim de Farias. On September 7, 2019, Ulysses Cruz donned his yellow vest and held bright orange wands to guide a United Airlines plane when Allied Aviation Fueling Company truck driver Reginald Willis struck Ulysses with the vehicle. Ulysses was paralyzed on impact, underwent spine stabilization surgery and suffered an accident-related stroke that affected the right side of his body and the left side of his brain. In the courtroom, award-winning trial lawyers Randall and Alexandra Sorrels sparred against the defense attorney, who attempted to place blame on United Airlines and to label Ulysses as a wing walker with a lack of "situational awareness." The Sorrels Law duo countered with proof that Reginald Willis violated Allied Aviation Fueling Company's policies by continuing to drive while blinded by the sun. O deputado Lindbergh Farias  (PT-RJ) afirmou que o relatório de Derrite representa “uma nova versão da PEC da blindagem, ou PEC da bandidagem”. Segundo ele, a proposta busca reduzir o alcance da Polícia Federal, que só poderia agir contra organizações criminosas mediante solicitação do governador. "L'amante perduta di Shakespeare" (Newton Compton Editori) è, però, un romanzo leggermente diverso dagli altri, perché è soprattutto un mistery (anche se la storia d'amore non manca). Felicia Kinsley si è divertita a giocare con la storia della letteratura perché tira in ballo Shakespeare, ma anche un po' il conte di Montecristo. Questo è un romanzo che indaga sul mistero dell'identità di William Shakespeare. Il protagonista è Nick Montecristo, che si trova in carcere dove incontra un prete gesuista, José Farias (e qui i richiami al romanzo di Dumas). Farias fa evadere Nick Montecristo con l'obiettivo di fargli commettere furti d'arte su commissione. Il primo incarico? Ritrovare il first folio di Shakespeare, ossia la trascrizione delle opere del Bardo fatta solo dopo la sua morte.

Per questo riesce a farlo uscire di prigione per ottenere la sua prima commissione: l'inglese Mister Lockridge gli chiede di ritrovare il first folio di Shakespeare, ossia la trascrizione delle opere del Bardo fatta solo dopo la sua morte. Se nella prima parte abbiamo parlato di Felicia Kingsley, considerata una delle massime esponenti del genere Romance, ora cerchiamo di indagare perché lo storie d'amore hanno così tanto successo soprattutto fra i giovani. Lo facciamo con Leonardo Mendolicchio, psichiatra che si occupa in particolar modo di disagio mentale nei giovani. Generalmente nella storia della letteratura si parla dell'amore romantico, di storie che fanno sognare. Lo stesso amore romantico è stata un po' un'invenzione dei romanzieri. Mendolicchio ci propone invece un punto di vista diverso nel suo libro "L'amore è un sintomo. I paradossi dell'amore e del sesso in un mondo che cambia" (Solferino) e ci aiuta a capire il perché del successo del Romance fra le giovani generazioni.
