    Interview with Dr. Angela Lindberg

How do you determine a healthy work environment? How is a successful company culture created? Dr. Angela Lindberg, a Industrial/Organizational Psychologist and BetterUp consultant joins me to discuss company culture, mindset, productivity, well-being, work-life balance and the importance of belonging. We talk strategies to improve the productivity of individuals. . . and organizations. Angela's career began working for family-owned companies in the heart of the Twin Cities. Through her work improving processes for small businesses and serving as a project manager on a variety of interesting projects and initiatives, she came to realize that her passion was for more than the improvement of individuals — but also the optimization of organizations. From there, she pivoted into a role with a medium-sized medical company where she managed several projects such as implementing a paperless software system in four different functional areas of the pharmacy and accounting and launching the HRIS platform companywide. She quickly realized how much employees appreciated solutions to common problems and the increase in productivity and revenue that these projects created and from there - she was hooked. Angela took her passion for people and processes and received her Masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and PhD in Business Psychology in Chicago. Her doctoral dissertation is focused on Psychological Capital and Work Engagement in the hospice care industry. These experiences help her to provide clients with a truly results-oriented mindset and organizational development skill-set that is so desirable (yet often lacking) in the talent development world. Her background spans working with organizations of all sizes and industries from healthcare to police and fire. She has a wide variety of experience designing structured selection systems, performance appraisals, and employee engagement surveys. Angela has a devotion for leading organizational development and fulfilling the mission at BetterUp to help professionals everywhere pursue their lives with greater clarity, purpose, and passion.
