Im bringing it back. G'day everyone, im bringing it back - the start of the week where I share my own thoughts, processes and opinions on things and given the recent headlines across the country I thought why not give me own spin on the Olympic Selection process here in Aus. Please enjoy
Well, you asked for it so here it is
Well what a story this is from Tim Vincent, a great one of perseverance and resilience in the build up to being a half marathon & marathon machine that he has now become...The partnership with LSKD is one of the best you will find, so enjoy this story!
Hey and welcome to Episode one of the LSKD Running series, where I take you through some of the amazing stories inside of the newly formed LSKD running squad spread across NZ and Aus. Kicking things off is the incredibly talented Aliyah Johnson, a multiple time Australian Representative who has found herself back in the sport after rupturing her ACL in 2022 and nearly leaving it all together. In a completely candid and vulnerable chat, the now NZ based Aliyah opened up on her high performance JNR career, the highs and lows and the pitfalls that can be being an elite athlete. Now, back in the sport with a rejuvenated sense of love for being there and being amongst competing again, LSKD has brought Aliyah's infectious energy inside the team and will support her along her journey throughout athletics. As always, if you're looking for 15% off at the checkout use SAI-LSKD for your shoppingEnjoy the pod
As always, reviews and rates please and thanks :)------G'day everybody, it's Mitch here. Holy shit, 2024, I can't believe we've made it. First and foremost, I was going to say a massive thank you to every single person that was on board last year. What ended up happening with Straight Out It was something that I could have never imagined that it would get to when I first rocked up to the Oslo Diamond League with not even a business created and sat in the press box and thought, should I better start something here? Some people will know my NCAA experience and story. Naturally, I went to Wake Forest for three years, had a great time. Certainly wasn't the most switched on athlete but nonetheless got so much out of it from the life perspective. A guy called Scott McKenzie who you're about to listen to is currently at Lipscomb. He's got his undergraduate, his masters, he's working on his PhD at the moment. He's lowered his times from late 14s, early 15s down to that sub -14 minute marker. Just an incredible guy and starting a business together that is essentially trying to partner young athletes with the right college coaches, the right college environment and also show that even though you haven't won a national medal even though you haven't maybe hit the criteria that you think you need to go to the NCAA, it's still very possible to do so. Follow along @downunderrecruiting for all the info to come!
Well, it feels good to be back. To kick things off since coming back from Europe I am joined by two of the brand new singings for OAC Oceania outfit with Flordia's 8x All American and 2:00 800m runner Imogen BarrettWake Forests 4x All American and 3:39 / 13:27 runner Zach Facioni. Although both coming through the NCAA route of senior running the duo share uniquely different stories of how they got into the sport, and if they ever believed they would be in an environment to turn professional. The pair talk what it means to them to be supported by this team and this environment, and what their goals are moving forward as a part of the group. The pair are joined by Olympian Ed Trippas and former UNC Middle distance star Jesse Hunt as key new signings.Expect more frequent podcasting and content soon... xox Mitch

DAY ONE OF BUDAPEST. You will not, I repeat Will not get coverage like this anywhere else in Australia or the world. I GUARENTEE. My goal for the world champs is to get 150+ whatever star reviews, if you could please make that happen I would be incredibly grateful. Day one is done and dusted, from Declan Tingay and the delayed walk, me breaking the speed barrier on an electric scooter and Matt Denny keeping us on the edge of our seats, there was nothing boring about the first of 9 days. A Massive shoutout to the entire crew at LSKD clothing Aus, the best in the business deadset, might even have a sneaky code on the way, watch out!Big love and please, any rates or support goes a long way in developing this into something huge. You're all going to love this one. So so good to sit down with Australian Record holder and now 5x world champ representative Brooke Buschkuehl on all things athletics, life, dealing with Coeliac disease and everything in between. Enjoy

Every athletic fan, coach, athlete and person in general is going to learn so much from this one…Was so good to sit down with Matt and just pick his brain on an already super successful career. We talk what drives him, his move to purely discus, coach changes and the “cross road” of his career. Can't recommend this one enough
Hellllo I'm back again but up in the mountains of Andorra…
Bree Masters, what an ep!!! Was so so sick to talk with 2022 World champs, commonwealth games and eventual comm games medalist Bree Masters about all things life and athletics…You will take so so much from this Podcast, from transitioning sports to goals, work life balance and everything in betweenCannot thank Bree enough
This is the most quiet I've ever been in my life haha. 4 countries in 7 days has been absolutely surreal, but I may decompress a little this week… BIG LOVE
This was such a special podcast to do with Cam, and not just because of his running but because of his personality and his approach on life and running…
Well holy hell what a week that was, managed to make it out of Pamplona and Poland and will take on the mite of Monaco and London… let's goooooLove u all, feel free to rate and review
Here's my ramblings for the week, enjoy
Open and honest with Gen Gregson. Was so great to talk to Gen about her career, becoming a mum, the decision to run the Marathon and everything in between. We touch a lot on the ups and downs of her journey to becoming the Aussie record holder for the Steeple as well as the moments leading to and after rupturing her Achilles in an Olympic final. For anyone struggling for motivation or ambition this is a must listen to a true star of the sport
This is about as raw and honest as it gets…Newest fastest man on home soil Liam Adams sat down to talk all things Marathon career, sponsorship, training, motivation for the sport as well as a detailed recount of both the gold coast marathon this past weekend as well as previous attempts at his first Sub 2:10. Liam is open and honest about his relationship with the sport and the struggles he has had along the way. Amazingly open and honest podcast, and one I think stacks of people can get a lot from. An honour to share this story!
*Part of my flights to and from Aus covered, just fyi*WooooooooowWhat a week, here is literally the most in-detailed recount of what it was and what's coming up! Love u
That's right, I've brought in the big dogs.Stoked to be joined by Athletics guru and owner of Whippsports Sean WHIPP to talk all things world athletic points and rankings ahead of a busy final month for many trying to make their way to Budapest in August.Whippy talks about why this system was introduced, how athletes utilise these points and also ones to keep an eye on within the final month of qualifying. If you've ever been curious how this works, this is a gold mine!
The back end of the week is busy…Welcome to another week of my ramblings of what lay ahead. If you have any questions you want answered, hit me up…
Frist cap off the rank is the incredible Taneille Crase. Taneille is a three time national champion in the Heptathlon and was fifth in last years Commonwealth games in Birmingham. Tanieile´s story is one I think can resonat with so many peoplke. From nearly gibing up on the sport, being plauged with injuries and even quitting her job to go all in on the pursuit of her best, it is inspiring to listen to. Tanieile now waits on points and rankings to find out if she´ll compete at the World Championships in August whilst also juggling two part time jobs and also a hamstring injury after a weekend of competition. If you are a person or company that thinks they catn help, Taneille is @taneillecrase on Instagram or can DM our page "straightatit_ to get in contact!Sit back and enjoy, you wont be disappointed
