Today's episode is a chance to listen in on a conversation that a few girl friends and I had in early October while we were on a girl's trip to California. We took some time to talk about what friendship has looked like in different stages of life for us. From Kindergarten friendships, Junior High & High School, young moms and now as 50+ year old women. We laughed a lot, we cried a lot and we found that our hearts all experience hurts and healing and desires to have the last part of life filled with deep and lasting friendships. This is part one, and next week will be part 2. Thanks for listening!

When we pursue our own way of making things happen instead of pursuing God and letting Him chart the course, we are left empty, exhausted, and unfulfilled. Valerie McMahon Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/ValerieLMcMahon.writer/Valerie McMahon Instagram - @valerielmcmahon.writerJill Savage - https://www.jillsavage.org/The Cure - https://www.trueface.org/the-cure

In this first episode I want to kick off with a deeper dive into why I feel so passionately that we need to change our thoughts and words concerning creativity (especially the words we speak to ourselves…). As someone  who has had artistic people in my life from day 1 – and who has entered into artistic expression of some form or another since I was little, my heart literally aches when I hear people say “I'm just not creative”. It aches because that is simply not true. Let me put that a little more bluntly – that is a lie! I am not being flippant when I say that we are all made to be creative. How do I know this – because I believe that we were all made in the image of God, and if we were made in the image of God, the CREATOR, we were made to be creative. Join me as I share my heart about this subject.I would love to connect with you. The Creative table will be a place of conversations with different people, in very different careers and stages of life, that engage their creative side in the areas of work, parenting, cooking, teaching, learning, and so much more. My hope is that you will find these conversations as inspiration to change the way you might look at the idea of ‘creativity' and that you would find your own creative spark in the things you do every, single day.
