A podcast about FRIENDS! Two sisters, Erica and Aubrie, come together and watch one episode at a time in chronological order. They discuss the plot lines, the characters, the actors, the fashion, what's still funny 25+ years later and maybe what isn't so
Even in the world of Friends episodes, what goes up must come down and this re-watch definitely left us wanting. And there's only a singular general wondering-ment worth discussing: why does this episode exist? Monica and Chandler are struggling to write their vows so they recruit the friends to help. A series of flashbacks showcasing how their relationship has blossomed over the years helps them put pen to paper. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Instagram! Long time, no pod!! Sorry we've been MIA the past few weeks. But, we are back with another memorable re-watch. Winona may steal the show this episode but we've still got a list of general wondering-ments to get through. Who doesn't try on a tuxedo before leaving the shop? Should Joey's parents have been invited to the wedding? Let's discuss. Doing a seating chart over a month out from the wedding is not how it works. Do we think Rachel and Ross have already hooked up? Rachel runs into an old sorority sister, Melissa, and recalls the time they got drunk at a frat party and made out. Melissa doesn't remember it but Rachel insists that it happened. Chandler and Ross both want to wear celebrity tuxedos to the wedding so it becomes a competition between James Bond 007 and Batman. Joey assumed his parents were invited to the wedding and now Monica has to find a way to make them fit into the seating chart. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us over on Instagram! Even the episodes where Erica and Aubrie disagree on the re-watchability are worth the re-watch! Our list of general wondering-ments is deeply concerning. Raise your hand if you're a woman who WANTS to look at male full frontal nudity in movies? We'll wait. How exactly is this "turtleneck" staying on? How does a Maid of Honor forget to plan a bridal shower for the bride? Ross may be twisted but are we not concerned about Cassie's icky factors in this situation? Ross and Monica's cousin, Cassie, is visiting for a few days and not even Ross can take his eyes off of her. Rachel and Phoebe forgot to plan a bridal shower for Monica so they try to pull one off at the last minute. Joey is up for the perfect film role but, when the director is requiring that the actor they hire be uncircumcised, Joey gives him the thumbs up and turns to Monica for help. We will never skip over this re-watch if for no other reason than Ned and Allen. If you know, you know! Our list of general wondering-ments needs to be addressed too. Monica has wedding jitters? Nah, don't buy it. Would the Soapys actually be televised? Why is Ross' velociraptor impression so dang good? Why weren't Ned and Allen offered permanent roles on the show? Joey gets nominated for a Soapy award and brings Rachel to the ceremony as his date. Unfortunately, he fails to execute his gracious loser face when he loses. Ross takes pity on one of his students who claims that being in love with him has caused him to be unable to focus in class. But, things seem fishy when another student makes the same claim asking Ross to change his grade. Monica gets a case of wedding jitters when she begins to realize everything she'll be giving up by getting married. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Instagram! An episode with a bargain bridal shop brawl will always be worth the re-watch. Let's not gloss over those general wondering-ments though. The dress Monica puts on and the dress she pulls off the discount rack is not the same dress. WHY?? Two months before her wedding and Monica hasn't purchased her dress or secured her wedding band? Shouldn't Joey, regular daytime soap opera actor, be able to afford just about as fancy of a date as Ross? Monica enlists the girls' help in getting her dream wedding dress at a discount bridal shop in Brooklyn. But, when a rival bride threatens to steal away the band that Chandler desperately wants for the reception if Monica doesn't give her the dress, hard decisions will have to be made. Joey and Ross, unknowingly, begin dating the same woman. Once they figure it out it's survival of the fittest. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us over on Instagram! An episode re-watch with the most epic prank of all time is one that we would never miss! But let's not skip over our list of general wondering-ments. That's quite a bowl of pretzels you've got there, Pheebs!!! Geez. In the Joey and Monica "what could have been" scene, don't you think Monica might have also gained her weight back? One might be impressed by Chandler's ability disrobe quickly but let's not overlook the fact that Monica appears naked instantaneously without removing a single item of clothing. Finally, once again, let us argue over the difference between an etch-a-sketch and a magna-doodle. After a failed attempt to find a suitable minister to perform their wedding, Monica and Chandler agree to let Joey do the ceremony himself. In an effort to learn more about their relationship so as to write a better ceremony speech, Joey asks them to tell him the story about that fateful night in London. Unknowingly, Phoebe tells Monica to tell him the truth about that night forcing Monica to confess that she was actually looking for Joey that night in London. Ross asks Rachel to babysit Ben. Trying to bond with him, Rachel teaches Ben the art of pranks and practical jokes. Ross is none too thrilled with his son's newfound hobby. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Insta! An episode re-watch where I'm not sure we've ever laughed this hard? Yes, please!! Even with the boisterous laughs and the occasional tangent, our list of general wondering-ments still warrants some attention. Is Guadalajara/La Guardia the best Joey joke of the series? It might be. We're pretty sure anybody would call in a noise complaint over how loud those bagpipes are. Susan Sarandon is a legend and George Stultz is not...let's discuss! Joey's character on Days of Our Lives is coming out of his coma via a brain transplant which means the character of Jessica Lockhart is being killed off the show. So, Joey asks the actress, Cecilia, to help him learn how to play Jessica so that she can live on. Phoebe and Rachel see a cute guy leave his cell phone behind at Central Perk and proceed to fight over who should get to be the one to return it and, thus, begin their digital fairytale. Ross learns to play the bagpipes for Monica and Chandler's wedding. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Instagram! Thank you for listening and for sharing. An episode re-watch with a slew of birthday flashbacks is always worth it. Once we address the enormous elephant in the room that is Rachel's May birthday not tracking with this Feburary episode, we move on to the rest of our general wondering-ments. A formal birthday party inside an apartment that, we presume, isn't taking place until after 11pm feels a bit off, right? An entire MILE on a hippity-hop? We don't buy it. Just a tad more effort into character styling for the flashbacks would have been appreciated. It's Rachel's 30th birthday. While she's wallowing in the fact that she's not anywhere near where she'd thought she'd be by this age, the rest of the friends remember their 30th birthdays. Phoebe aims to complete her birthday bucket list by reconciling with her sister and, instead, she finds out that she's actually 31. Monica shows up to her surprise party drunk and isn't subtle about it. Ross buys a sports car but can't even get it out of the parking spot. All clips are property of Warner Media. Another week, another episode re-watch. The whole of the episode may be mostly forgettable, but still we mourn Rosita's passing. Our list of general wondering-ments is far from forgettable, though. What exactly is toner? While we're on the subject, what is escrow? It's for sure February AND a weekend and nothing is making sense. Why would Rachel and Joey reassemble Rosita before heading out to find a new chair? Rachel accidentally breaks Joey's barca lounger, Rosita. When they return from the store with a new chair, Rosita appears to be miraculously healed...but not really. Jack and Judy are selling Ross and Monica's childhood home so they return to collect all of their keepsakes and memories. But, it's discovered that all of Monica's boxes are ruined. Phoebe takes a side job as a telemarketer and ends up on the phone with a man threatening suicide. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on the Gram! Leave us 5 stars and a review. We would stay up all night for this episode re-watch! But it does come with some very curious general wondering-ments. Weren't cell phones pretty common-place by this point? Couldn't the fireman have disabled the alarm himself before bringing it back to Phoebe? Is there actually anybody that resorts to warm milk to help them sleep? Ross has all the friends up on the rooftop to watch a passing comet. When the comet is a no-show, the friends all head their own ways and are kept up all night for different reasons. Ross and Joey get locked onto the rooftop and have to go down the firescape. Chandler has a bout of insomnia and keeps Monica awake with his ponderings and requests for help. Phoebe's fire alarm goes rogue, the beeping driving her to toss it down the trash chute. Rachel and Tag end up back at their office in search of a document that she insists she left on his desk that he has no recollection of receiving. All clips are property of Warner Media. A re-watch that makes us desperately crave cheesecake? Sign us up. But let's talk about our very concerning list of general wondering-ments first! There is absolutely no way these cheesecakes are being delivered from another state without being packed on ice or in some kind of secure packaging. Do you think the woman over Phoebe's shoulder with the thigh high slit knew what she was doing? Would YOU eat the cheesecake? A delicious cheesecake gets delivered to the Purple Palace by mistake and Chandler and Rachel eat the entire thing. As it turns out, one cheesecake simply isn't enough. Phoebe lectures Joey on the principle of never canceling plans with friends, but when David, the scientist guy, is in town for only one night she may change her beliefs entirely. Monica doesn't get an invite to a cousin's wedding so she sneaks her way in as Ross' plus one. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Insta! An iconic re-watch of an episode that goes down in Friends history! Where else do you get David Schwimmer, as Ross, dressed in an Armadillo costume? Our list of general wondering-ments are full of fun too. Who actually believes that Rachel Green had a pet tarantula as a child? Phoebe's grandmother's ability to erect a wall inside their apartment without the landlord's knowledge is either extremely impressive or it literally didn't happen. Didn't Richard himself teach Chandler how to do the money-transfer handshake? Ross has Ben for the holidays this year and he hopes to take the opportunity to teach him about Hanukkah. But, when Ben is so disappointed he won't see Santa, Ross tries to track down a Santa costume at the last minute to no avail leaving him with only one option: the Holiday Armadillo! Phoebe and Rachel's apartment restoration is finished but Phoebe is worried that Rachel is having too much fun living with Joey to want to move back in with her so she tries to create an unbearable living situation at the Bachelor Pad. Chandler practices the art of being smooth and never quite achieves it. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Instagram. Leave us 5 stars and a review while you're here. Another week, another re-watch and there's plenty to love about this one! And our list of general wondering-ments might be just as entertaining. What kind of monster said having 150 extras in the park scenes was the way to go? How dumb is Rachel to think stamping something with the word "confidential" wouldn't deter Tag from opening it? On that note, props to Tag for not reading it AND for taking the fall. Do these people really just never lock their apartment doors...even overnight? The holiday season is upon us and Monica decides that, in order to get to know the neighbors, she's going to put out homemade candy in a basket hanging on the door. When the tenants get a little too greedy for more candy, Chandler has to step in. Rachel fills out an inappropriate work evaluation for Tag as a joke, but, it somehow ends up on her boss' desk. Ross finds out that Phoebe never had a bike growing up so he buys her the perfect bike and offers to help her learn how to ride it. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on the 'Gram! If it's a Friends-giving episode it's ALWAYS worth the re-watch! Between Chandler's states game, Joey's "moo point" and Chandler's dog phobia, there's comedic gold to go all around. But let's talk about some of our general wondering-ments, shall we? Monica, the professional chef, really did no meal prep/cooking prior to Thanksgiving day? Tag seemed to get over his ex-girlfriend, whom he thought he would be with forever, rather quickly. Have we been watching Friends for too long or does Joey's "moo point" make complete sense? Naming all 50 states in under 6 minutes is easy and Erica & Aubrie can prove it. It's Thanksgiving at the Purple Palace and the friends are spending it together. Monica and Chandler discover that Phoebe has been secretly keeping a dog in her room. Chandler's deepest, darkest secret, thus, must come to light: Chandler hates dogs. Chandler has all the friends play a game where you have to list all 50 states in under 6 minutes. Ross gets a little too confident and when he can't do it, he makes a bet that he can get all 50 before dinner or he won't eat. Tag joins the friends for dinner after breaking up with his girlfriend. Joey misreads the situation and lets it slip that Rachel likes him forcing her to confess everything. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Instagram! Thank you for listening. Any episode that includes Janice is worth the re-watch. Our list of general wondering-ments, however, warrants some discussion. Again with restaurant patrons being allowed back into a working restaurant kitchen to talk to the chef...this doesn't actually happen! Do these makeout corners exist in large public libraries? How about a two minute tangent to talk about A Star is Born? You're welcome. Ross discovers that his doctoral discertation is published and in the library on campus. However, when he discovers that students are using the paleontology section to get frisky he takes security matters into his own hands. Joey has what he planned on being a one-night stand but when Rachel and Phoebe meet Erin they are convinced Cupid delivered her there just for Joey. They finally convince him to give her a real chance and when he comes around to really liking her, it turns out, she doesn't like him as much. Monica runs into Janice and she invites herself to the wedding, so Monica and Chandler now have to figure out how to uninvite her! All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Insta! A re-watch that goes down in Friends fandom history! That list of general wondering-ments, though. Should we be surprised that Joey is the big spoon and Ross is the little spoon? Shouldn't Rachel have been Monica's maid of honor to begin with? Does any woman really want their fiance tracking down a girlfriend from over fifteen years ago just so they can apologize to them? Joey and Ross accidentally share the best nap of their lives together and are struggling to stop themselves from doing it again...on purpose. Monica tells Rachel and Phoebe that they have to decide who is going to be her maid of honor. Things turn competitive when Ross and Joey get involved in the decision process. Monica runs into one of Chandler's ex-girlfriends who appears to be holding a fifteen year old grudge, so, Monica asks him to apologize to her. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Instagram! Thank you for listening and for sharing.
Chandler's epic failed smile attempt is always worth the re-watch. We do still have a list of general wondering-ments to get through, though. Is it really feasible to get the idea for a photo session, secure the appointment, have the session and receive a proof sheet all in one day? So, exactly how much authority does Rachel have to be giving away a dozen Ralph Lauren shirts in 24 hours? Is this the worst engagement photographer in the history of time? Monica and Chandler are getting professional engagment pictures taken for the local newspaper back home except Chandler can't smile naturally when the camera comes out. Ross and Phoebe are both dating one half of an almost divorced couple and, before they know it, the divorced couple's problems become their problems. Rachel asks Joey to hang out with Tag and then Joey teaches him how to be Joey so Rachel makes him take it back. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Instagram! It may be a re-watch with one of our least favorite guest appearances but the comedy is still gold! And our list of general wondering-ments keeps us plenty entertained. So did they completely change the plot of Days of Our Lives to write Joey back in as Drake instead of the original part he was going in for, Stryker? A big fashion corporation is doing walk-in interviews for a senior level assistant position? What is happening with Phoebe's pants that are six inches too short? Rachel gets promoted and gets to have her own assistant. When interviewing applicants she's torn between the middle-aged woman who is more than qualified and the young boy with the pretty face. Chandler and Monica exchange secrets but when Ross finds out that one of those secrets was his own, well, the gloves are off and everybody's secrets are coming out. Mac and C.H.E.E.S.E. is officially out in the world AND Days of Our Lives wants Joey back to play Drake's evil twin, Stryker. But, Joey gets too big for his britches when he takes offense at being asked to audition. Once he gets word that Mac and C.H.E.E.S.E. is cancelled he has to return to the DOOL offices with his tail between his legs. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Instagram! A re-watch with an iconic Friends moment and we are here for it! And our list of general wondering-ments is going strong, y'all. Does anybody say Nestle Tollhouse without hearing it in Phoebe's french accent? It turns out, in real life, sailing is exhausting and not fun in the slightest...according to Aubrie! Do steam rooms really have that much steam in them? Monica, the professional chef, really can't come up with her own kick-ass chocolate chip cookie recipe? Does Rachel not know how to properly hold a sandwich? Monica is on a mission to be the mom who makes the best chocolate chip cookies. Wanting to get Phoebe's grandmother's recipe, she's forced to get creative when Phoebe discovers that the recipe was lost in the fire and only 1 cookie from a frozen batch remains. Rachel teaches Joey how to sail. Jack invites Chandler to play racquetball with him and Ross but Chandler suffers the embarassment of a lifetime when he sits on Jack's naked lap in an overly steamy steam room. A re-watch with an erotic novel, weird massages and wedding budgets. This one runs the gamut of comedy. Our list of general wondering-ments though! Ross, the bachelor, with a delicately prepared salad in a wooden salad bowl with matching wooden spoons for dinner? We have questions. Is anybody on Monica's side of the wedding budget debate with Chandler? What exactly is a Vicker? Joey climbing into Rachel's bed with his shoes on....ewwww! Joey stumbles upon an erotic novel that Rachel has hidden in her bedroom and he is never going to let her live this down. Phoebe moves in with Ross for a few days to give Monica and Chandler some privacy, but Ross didn't realize that also meant she would be massaging clients in his living room. Jack and Judy have spent all of the money in Monica's wedding fund so now she and Chandler must pay for it on their own. But, first, they have to agree on how much they are willing to spend. We are back for a new season and the episode 1 re-watch does not disappoint! But even all the thunder stealing, whack playstation playing and wedding music auditions don't distract us from our list of general wondering-ments. Why, exactly, does Joey even have Chandler's underwear? The creators seriously couldn't make Rachel's hair match the end of last season just for this one episode? Is Monica being petty? Let's discuss... The friends are ready to go out and celebrate Monica and Chandler's engagement. Rachel is feeling a bit jealous of her best friend's impending nuptials so she turns to Ross to make herself feel better and ends up stealing Monica's thunder in the process. Phoebe offers up her musical services for the wedding and showcases some songs she's really excited to perform. Chandler is insecure from not being able to perform in the bedroom and turns to Joey for advice. Joey is preparing for a commerical audition where he has to play a 19 year old. Who doesn't love a good season recap episode with our good friends Staci & Jenni. As per usual, Jenni shows up minimally prepared, barely knowing which season we are covering and we wouldn't have it any other way. We talk about all things season 6. The fashion, favorite guest appearances, most rewatchable episodes, which character won the season and so much more. And don't forget all of those hot topics that we must debate/discuss. Would you date a man who's been divorced 3 times? Where do you stand on the professor/student relationship rule for the college campus? Let's hash out how this whole Monica and Chandler journey to their engagement plot played out because we have some thoughts. We'll be back on Monday, April 3rd with the launch of season 7. In the meantime, find us on Instagram! And share us with your friendsies. Thank you for listening!
We've reached the end of season 6 and probably the most dramatic, least funny finale re-watch to date. Monica and Chandler's engagement, of course, is a bright spot but we have some opinions about how this finale has played out. General wondering-ments, if you will. Is Chandler's crying in the proposal just bad acting? Could the return of Richard and the love triangle drama have been handled differently to make the finale better? Let's be honest, we've all been a little jealous of a friend getting married, right? Richard has confessed his love and intentions to marry Monica. While Chandler is running around still trying to throw her off, he runs the risk of losing her completely. Rachel and Phoebe mull over their feelings about their best friends getting engaged so they begin talking about their back-up plans. Except, Phoebe already nailed down both Joey AND Ross. We've reached the end and, while we may have mixed feelings at the Richard conflict, the re-watch is still worth it. Our list of general wondering-ments also warrants much discussion. Ross and Elizabeth don't seem to be hiding their relationship from any of her friends? Richard brings some ick factor to this episode but, frankly, Monica isn't that much better. Anybody else feel like Chandler's big proposal plans of dinner and a toast are kind of lame? Where is all the staff in Monica's restaurant kitchen? Chandler has big plans for proposing to Monica but they get botched when Richard shows up at the same restaurant. Rachel brings Phoebe and Joey with her to a charity event hosted by her boss where Joey misunderstands the rules of a silent auction and accidentally buys a boat. Ross realizes that it might be time to end things with Elizabeth. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Insta! Leave us 5 stars, a review and thank you for listening!
One more re-watch closer to the season 6 finale. We bid farewell to Bruce Willis and get some prime Phoebe comedy. Revolutionary war musket anyone? But how about those general wondering-ments, though? Couldn't the jewelry store just hold on to the ring in the back until Chandler came back? Did Rachel really stay up all night listening to Paul cry without ever changing out of her dress and heels? I don't think walking four feet away from your table and openly discussing and swapping ring boxes is very discreet. Chandler asks for Phoebe's help in picking out the perfect engagement ring for Monica. When the ring he wants accidentally gets sold to someone else they're willing to do whatever it takes to get it back. In an effort to get Paul to open up more, Rachel gets him talking about his childhood and the floodgates fling wide open. In an effort to cover up what she and Chandler are up to, Phoebe tells Ross that Chandler is mad at him. When Ross can't figure out why he would be mad at him, assumptions are made and he and Joey decide to freeze Chandler out. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Instagram! If you were only able to re-watch one of the three episodes that star Bruce Willis, this would be the one. David, Bruce and Jennifer all bring the comedy gold! But, our list of general wondering-ments is concerning. How did Ross and Elizabeth get to the cabin? What kind of monster doesn't put ice in a glass of soda? We need to have a serious talk about the museum wait list/Chandler's freakout/his change of heart in a matter of hours....was it all an elaborate plan? Ross and Elizabeth try to sneak away for a romantic weekend at her family cabin but Ross is caught with his pants down when Paul and Rachel show up. Only a little bit of blackmail will get Ross out of this predicament. The girls visit a museum where Rachel and Phoebe convince Monica to put her and Chandler's name down on their two-year wedding waitlist. But the poop hits the fan when Chandler finds out about it. Joey wants to get his headshot back on the wall at the dry cleaners now that he's the star of his own TV show. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on the Gram! An episode with a mega-star appearance is always worth the re-watch and Bruce Willis never disappoints. But even Bruce's brooding charm doesn't distract us from our list of general wondering-ments. Is this the smallest restaurant table that has ever existed? Adult women should never call their dads "daddy". Ever. Wouldn't Elizabeth introducing Ross to her father be the opposite of "not looking for anything serious"? Ross meets Elizabeth's father who has already decided that he doesn't like him. So, Ross tries everything to win him over. Phoebe is writing another book and is basing it off of Monica and Chandler's relationship...or should we say, Marsha and Chester's relationship. Joey offends the C.H.E.E.S.E. robot operator on the set of his new show and is at risk of getting fired. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Insta! You might as well call this episode what it is: a re-watch of a re-watch. When there's not much else besides flashbacks to watch, we really one have one general wondering-ment worth discussing: why does this episode have to exist? Thank God for Phoebe running lines with Joey in the intro and outro to keep us mildly entertained. Joey is up for a lead role in a new tv series called Mac and C.H.E.E.S.E. When Chandler fails to get Joey the message, he misses his audition. But, things work in his favor when the audition opportunity opens up again. Insert unrelated groups of flashbacks here, there and everywhere. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on the Gram! Leave us 5 stars and a kindly worded review. Thank you for listening!
Another re-watch where Joey just nails it and wins the episode! The title of this episode may not make it the most memorable but Joey makes up for it. Also, the list of general wondering-ments makes it a worthwhile investment of your time. Does Rachel really need anyone's help finding a date? Did Chandler not have a fridge before Joey moved in? Is this Joey Tribbiani's best acting performance to date? We need to know who picked the name Eldad! The fridge in the bachelor pad breaks so Joey will just go down the list of his friends until he finds somebody willing to foot half the bill. Elizabeth is headed down to Florida for spring break which has Ross just a wee bit jealous. Rachel needs a date for an upcoming work event so she asks her friends for help. Monica & Chandler and Phoebe both come up with their own guys but it becomes a full on war when they try to introduce Rachel to their guys at the same time. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Instagram! Thank you for listening and sharing. Leave us 5 stars and a review while you're here!
A rare re-watch where Joey just wins the episode...hands down! We may not wonder about how Joey got to his Thursday-The-Third-Day logic but we have plenty of other things to wonder about, generally. How is a semester ending at the end of February/early March? Monica may make a great hostess but she sucks as an interior decorator! Does anyone question the fire department's lax protocol in allowing Phoebe and Rachel to just run back into the wreckage of their apartment? Let's discuss the nuances of the whole professors not being allowed to date students rule. Ross begins dating one of his former students, Elizabeth, believing that doing so is simply frowned upon but his colleagues harshly bring it to his attention that it is, in fact, forbidden. Chandler's friend from college, who is a film director now, is in town so Joey asks him to get him an audition for her latest movie - but you can't just call somebody up after ten years and ask for a favor. Phoebe and Rachel's apartment catches fire, forcing them to move into Monica & Chandler's and Joey's apartments. They may not agree on who's to blame for the fire but they do agree on not wanting to live at Hotel Monica! All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Instagram! Thank you for listening. Leave us 5 stars while you're here. Please and thank you!
We are always up for a beloved episode re-watch and this one never disappoints! But even "ahhhhh, Salmon Skin Roll" and "DAMMIT Karl!!!" won't keep us from our list of general wondering-ments. Did they forget about the cake they had in the oven? Is it really that hard to come up with a homemade gift? We've got a few ideas of our own we could have thrown Chandler's way. Do you think David Schwimmer came up with the forehead double finger point for Unagi? We choose to think so. Pretty sure Janice's homemade mix tape for Chandler would have included some sort of label on it. Phoebe and Rachel take a self-defense class but Ross thinks they're a little too confident after just one class so he aims to teach them a lesson in the concept of Unagi. Monica and Chandler are having a belated Valentine's Day celebration where they both agreed to make the presents themselves, except, they both forgot! Joey is in need of some extra cash so he looks into participating in some medical research projects. When the only one available is an identical twin study, he hires another actor, Karl, to stand-in as his twin. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Insta! Thank you in advance for that 5 star rating and your review...with words! Thank you for listening!
This Part 2 re-watch is when all the magic happens! Despite it being completely outside of reality, there's still plenty to love AND generally wonder about this episode. Who actually thinks it's sensual to eat couscous with your hands? We feel the need to acknowledge that Roger seemed like a good guy who really liked Monica...poor Roger! What's with the enormous abandoned dinner plate sitting on Ross and Carol's coffee table? Rachel's hair jewels for the win! The friends are still imagining their lives as they could have been. Rachel meets Joey at his apartment and tries to block out her guilt with alcohol. Ross and Carol go through with their threesome but it didn't really feel like Ross was invited to the party. Phoebe goes back to work and discovers that she was fired. In all the stress and yelling she gives herself another heart attack. Monica tries to seduce Roger because she's ready to give up her flower. When he gets called in to work again, Chandler comes over and *inserts himself. IYKYK. All clips are property of Warner Media. A two-part episode re-watch that is best watched as a one hour special because part 1 is boring and part 2 is infinitely better. Yep, that's what this one is. At least we have our general wondering-ments to keep us nice and warm. Can we all just sit back and acknowledge the joy and delight that is Fat Monica? Do you think anybody could have told the extra standing over Rachel's shoulder to stand about three feet to the left, out of the shot? Kevin Bright literally says that people like seeing Joey and Rachel together and I think we are officially scarred for life. Lies, Kevin. They're all lies!!!!! The friends begin to imagine how their lives might have turned out if different choices had been made in the past. What if Rachel had married Barry and become a rich housewife? What if Ross was still married to Carol and doing his karate? What if Monica was still fat? What if Chandler had quit his job and pursued writing comedy? What if Joey had never gotten fired from Days of Our Lives? What if Phoebe had taken that job at Merrill Lynch? All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on The Gram! A part 2 re-watch that isn't actually a part 2 but it kind of is. We know it's confusing! We bid Reese Witherspoon adieu in this episode and we're left with plenty of general wondering-ments. Hasn't it already been established that Phoebe didn't grow up seeing the sad endings to movies? We've already seen Chandler cry at some point in the past, right? How was Ursula cashing paychecks made out to Phoebe? When the friends find out that Chandler doesn't cry they declare him to be dead inside. So, he, along with Monica, go on the hunt for something that can break him. Rachel can't handle Ross dating her sister so she asks him to call it off. When he agrees, Jill finds out and seeks her own revenge. When Phoebe gets mistaken for a porn star by the same name the friends figure out that Ursula is the one doing the porn and using Phoebe's name. All clips are property of Warner Media. An episode with an A-list celebrity guest star is always worth the re-watch! We may not love Reese Witherspoon's portrayal of Jill but we still love Reese, nonetheless. Our list of general wondering-ments is worth discussing as well. Does anybody really want to have sex that badly when they're sick? We're pretty sure that Jill couldn't legally be using just credit card numbers from memory to charge things around town. Is there an argument that Ross, of all the guys, would probably know what a pashmina is? Rachel's little sister, Jill, comes to visit after their dad cuts her off. In Rachel's attempt to help Jill stand on her own two feet, Jill gets a bit too close to Ross and sparks start to fly. Monica refuses to accept that she is sick and goes to extreme measures to prove that she is in the "prime of lime". Joey is giving away all kinds of free coffee shop goodies to all of his pretty female customers and when Gunther tries to stop him, suddenly, it's everyone's birthday! Welp, even the forgettable episodes warrant a re-watch and that's just what this episode is. We forget the storylines before the podcast is even finished. But, at least our general wondering-ments give us plenty to ponder. So is Rachel uptight or is she a pushover? Who's joke origin story do you believe more? We think the extra in the coffee house who got to chat it up with Lisa Kudrow had the best gig in this episode. Are we the only ones who didn't know that Playboy printed jokes? Ross submitted a joke to Playboy and it got printed. But Chandler claims the joke was his and neither guy is willing to give an inch. Money is tight since Janine moved out so Joey gets a job at the coffee house to make ends meet. In a seemingly innocent discussion, Phoebe says she would date Rachel if she had to choose between her and Monica because Monica is too high-maintenance. Naturally, Monica must prove just how low-maintenance she is. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Insta! Leave us 5 stars and a review while you're here. Thank you for listening!
Is there a better way to start your new year than with a Friends re-watch? We don't think there is. It may not be the best episode but you can't forget Phoebe's hatred of Pottery Barn. Our list of general wondering-ments keeps us more than entertained, though. "WAIT!!!" might be Elle McPherson's shining moment as an actress. Is anybody else concerned that Ross chose floral paisley sheets? As per usual, we have questions about how Rachel is affording this Pottery Barn apartment makeover. Also, is Phoebe at all offended that Rachel moved in and just bought all new stuff? This just in...Phoebe hates Pottery Barn. So, when Rachel buys a bunch of new stuff she tells Phoebe they are one-of-a-kind antiques. But the jig is up when Ross winds up with the same apothecary table in his living room. Joey and Janine go on a double date with Monica and Chandler but Joey gets stuck between a rock and a hard place when he finds out that Janine really doesn't like his friends. If ever there was a re-watch where we wished that podcasting was a visual platform, this would be the one! Monica and Ross in all of their nerdy, competitive sibling glory bring enough laughs to make up for the other two non-exciting storylines. Our list of general wondering-ments is entertaining too. It would have been nice if Janine could have had a quick lesson in rhythm/dancing before they called 'action' considering she's supposed to be a professional dancer. Why are they throwing empty gift boxes around when there is supposed to be something in them? Just put something in them!! Why is "Tall Guy" dressed like a high school science teacher? Janine is hired to be a dancer on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve and invites Joey to join her. Monica and Ross manage to weasel an invitation too when their fangirling is just too much. Joey plans to use the studio taping as the time and place to make his move on Janine. Monica and Ross have one singular mission: get on camera. When nothing else seems to be working, they pull out "The Routine" from middle school. Meanwhile, Phoebe and Rachel coax Chandler into helping them hunt down their Christmas gifts from Monica. Is there a better re-watch than one that includes one of the best Thanksgiving episodes that Friends has to offer plus director's commentary to boot? We don't think so. And our list of general wondering-ments makes for a fun ride as well. Did nobody notice that Rachel was sauteeing beef during her dessert prep? Does anyone just openly consume cans of condensed milk? That guest room doesn't house a bed or any suitable surface for napping so we aren't sure what Phoebe was thinking? It's Thanksgiving!!! Jack and Judy are coming for dinner but the news that they hate Chandler and, therefore, Monica has never told them that they're dating, puts a damper on the whole day. When it's discovered that the genesis of their dislike for Chandler is based on a lie that Ross' came up with to cover the fact that he had been smoking pot in his bedroom, Ross is forced to come clean. But not without airing all of Monica's dirty laundry first. Rachel is in charge of the dessert but messes up the recipe when the pages get stuck together and she makes half an English trifle and half a shepherd's pie. Phoebe had a dream about Jack Geller but then Jacques Cousteau steals the show. Ross and Joey get invited to join Janine and her dancer friends for a day of Thanksgiving drinking but when the festivities at Monica's aren't moving fast enough they try to rush things along. A beloved re-watch, not only for Ross' teeth whitening disaster, but also for the famous watering can. However, even with Joey nailing every comedic moment of this episode, our list of general wondering-ments is concerning. I think we should all question Janine's taste in home decor. Speaking of home decor, we are also concerned about Hillary's taste. Shouldn't Rachel fear losing her job over spreading a false rumor that she was in a secret sexual relationship with the CEO? Joey grew up with 7 sisters and he really doesn't know what a curling iron looks like? Ross has a date coming up so he decides to whiten his teeth. Only, when he leaves the gel on longer than recommended, there's no turning back. Janine's feminine design aesthetic is infiltrating the whole bachelor pad and it's turning Joey into a woman. Phoebe makes out with a guy in the copy room at the Ralph Lauren offices who she thinks is Ralph Lauren himself. Rachel uses this as the creme de la creme of office gossip to bond with her boss. But, it turns out, Phoebe's makeout buddy was Kenny the Copy Guy, not Ralph. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Insta! Leave us 5 stars and a review while you're here. Nobody could ever forget a re-watch where Phoebe runs like a starfish! But all the running leaves us with an abundance of general wondering-ments. So, neither Rachel or Phoebe have ever been described or presented as runners on Friends, yet they ran twice in one day on this episode? How exactly did the big white dog get out on the balcony? Is anybody surprised that Joey wants to ask his hot roommate to go out with him? Also, is it really that big of a deal? Chandler, have you met Monica? Rachel invites Phoebe out for a run in the park but gets embarrassed when she runs like a flailing star fish. Chandler is all moved into Monica's apartment and decides to clean it as a surprise for her. However, things go south when he forgets exactly where everything is supposed to go. Joey has a new roommate, Janine, who's really hot but his friends help him realize that he shouldn't date her. However, as it turns out, turning off the Joey charm is not as easy as it sounds. Also, it doesn't work on Janine to begin with. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Instagram! Thank you for listening and sharing. Leave us a rating and a review while you're here. A great re-watch of a pivotal episode of the series. It may not be the most memorable episode but it's worth the re-watch, nonetheless. Our list of general wondering-ments are worth your time and consideration as well. Why did Rachel unpack to begin with? Is the story of Denise coming back on December 26th vs. just moving out entirely solely so they could keep the Santa Claus joke? When has Ross playing basketball ever been discussed, much less shown, on the series? Never. The answer is never! It's Chandler's last night in the bachelor pad and Rachel's last night in the purple palace. The girls have to change their plans so that they can help Rachel finish packing which leads to Monica and Rachel at each other's throats over the other's many faults. Chandler is worried about Joey's financial situation once he moves out so he's trying to find a way to give him money without Joey realizing he's doing it. When his foosball plan goes south, he makes up his own game entirely: Cups! All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Instagram! Thank you for listening and sharing. An episode involving a bottom of the barrel Porsche - while not a great re-watch, it's still worth it. If anything, our list of general wondering-ments is sufficiently entertaining. Is a generic model Porsche really that big of an attraction? And Joey erecting an elaborate coupe shaped structure out of cardboard boxes on the streets of New York wasn't a red flag to anyone? We think the creators of the show forgot to do the math on how old the triplets should be by this point. Joey finds a set of keys to a Porsche. His good intentions of returning them to the owner get put on the backburner when people start to think the car is his. Ross' secret marriage to Rachel is finally out in the open so she's taking matters into her own hands. In pursuit of their annulment, they come to blows in front of the judge and are forced to file for divorce instead. Monica and Chandler offer to help Phoebe babysit the triplets but Phoebe gets stuck flying solo when Chandler swallows a piece of a toy action figure and Monica has to take him to the emergency room. Joey developing a hernia and refusing treatment is definitely worth the re-watch. An episode full of fake accents and abdominal pain comes with it's fair share of general wondering-ments, however. Was Joey's SAG health insurance a zero-deductible plan? We're pretty sure Ross' divorce attorney just broke the code of ethics regarding attorney-client confidentiality. Has Ross really been hiding from Rachel the fact that they're still married for nearly three months? Ick! Joey's health insurance expires due to not having enough work just in time for him to develop a painful hernia. Ross has an opportunity to guest lecture at NYU but finds himself in a predicamet when his nerves cause him to start speaking in a thick british accent to the class. Phoebe receives the worst psychic reading you can get: she's going to die this week! In the middle of unpacking her things in Ross' apartment, Rachel answers a phone call from his divorce attorney and finds out that they're still married. All clips are property of Warner Media. Perhaps the most memorable non-character in all of Friends, Denise, makes this re-watch more than worth it! Between Denise and "MERGE!" the laughs abound. But, not even our laughter can let us forget about our general wondering-ments. Who puts a chair smack dab in the middle of the living room? Definitely NOT Monica Geller. Does any Friends fan really hear the name Denise or the word "merge" and not hear it in the context of the show? Why, Rachel? Why did you ever think it was a good idea to move in with Ross to begin with? Ross is still in denial over his feelings for Rachel. Naturally, the only solution is to ask her to move in with him when she's desperate to find a place to live but he wavers back and forth over his offer as reality starts to set in. Monica and Chandler fight over what to do with the spare bedroom and how to "MERGE" their lives into one shared apartment. Joey, meanwhile, is on the hunt for a new roommate who he declares needs to be a woman: non-smoker, non-ugly. Phoebe has a roommate named Denise that nobody knew about. Even the worst titled episode of the series warrants a re-watch. If you're wondering if this is the one where Ross hugs Rachel, you nailed it! However, the confusion around this episode's title is the least of our general wondering-ments. Monica is rushing around all day looking for Rachel. News Flash: She's at work, Mon! Miscommunication or not, who wants to live with a roommate and her serious boyfriend? Correction Mr. Attorney, this is actually Ross' second marriage in ONE year. Ross is still hiding the fact that he and Rachel are still married and Phoebe is set on the fact that it's because he must still be in love with her. When Ross has had enough of Phoebe's pestering, he heads to his attorney's office to get the annulment. Only, it's not that easy. Monica and Chandler break the news to Joey and Rachel that they're going to be living together. Joey becomes emotional and Rachel just thinks it's a Three's Company situation. Another season and we are back with another rewatch. Season 6 coming in hot, people! But what is a rewatch of Friends without some very serious general wondering-ments that must be discussed? Oh, the joys of a Las Vegas buffet! A couple scoops of scrambled eggs is just blasphemous. How dumb is Rachel to think that her marriage could be annulled without having to sign a document? Has anyone ever arrived home after 37 hours of driving and thought "hey, let's go hang out at the coffee shop"? Ross and Rachel wake up to discover that, in their drunken stupor, they got hitched. They agree to pursue an annulment but Ross has other plans. Monica and Chandler didn't end up getting married and, despite each of them wanting to wait, fate keeps sending them clear cut signs telling them otherwise. Phoebe and Joey embark on a "friennasaince" road trip across the country and pick up a hitchhiker along the way. All clips are property of Warner Media. Find us on Instagram! The final re-watch of season 5 is upon us and it's 100% worth it! Drunk Ross and Rachel may be the purest form of gold in this episode but our list of general wondering-ments gives us plenty more to discuss. Were Ross and Rachel sharing a single bed hotel room? It's not physically possible for that dice to have ended up in that location and position but, whatever, we are still here for it! Chandler really has zero hesitation or reservations about getting married? Maybe it's just whatever's in the air in Vegas that has boosted his confidence. Ross and Rachel have finally made it to Vegas but Ross' final prank threatens to suck all the fun out of their time there. Have no fear, however, the room comes with a pretty stout mini bar to help them pass the time and make at least one very poor life decision. Monica and Chandler make up and decide to start testing fate at the craps table. One final hard eight and they plan to get married tonight! All of Phoebe's slot machine jackpots are getting hijacked by a lurker. Joey is still working to convince his identical hand twin to buy into his million dollar idea. This re-watch marks the beginning of the end...of season 5, that is! The crew is all headed to Vegas which means it's gonna get really good! Our list of general wondering-ments leaves us with plenty of wondering, however. Rachel is dancing in the nude on top of the coffee table in front of an enormous window in NYC. Yet, she's shocked that somebody saw her? Who's Team Chandler and who's Team Monica in their fight? This group of friends can't even leave the orange juice behind when it comes to their cocktails. Is Chandler really wearing blue suede shoes? The friends are all headed to Vegas to surprise Joey. Monica surprises Chandler with tickets to Vegas to celebrate their 1 year anniversary. But their celebration gets tainted when Chandler finds out that Monica had lunch with Richard without telling him. Ross and Rachel are flying out together a day later than everyone else. Enjoying a night alone in her apartment, Rachel dances naked on the coffee table. Ross sees this and misinterprets it as a sexual invitation and is properly mortified. They spend the rest of their travels trying to embarrass the other. Joey finds his identical hand twin and is convinced he will want for nothing for the rest of his life. A re-watch with Shutter Speed, eye infections and dream-state grievances. What's not to love? We also love our list of general wondering-ments. Lots of questions! We actually think the plotline for Shutter Speed sounds really good and somebody should make that movie. Who's in? Although, they need to work out the they-met-on-the-subway-but-the-movie-is-set-in-the-desert contradiction real quick. No drops ever make it into Rachel's eye for the entire episode...just to be clear. Did Chandler literally walk all the way back to Central Perk without appearing tired or disheveled in any way? WTF with the pants, Monica? Joey's scored a starring role in a movie that's filming in the desert outside of Vegas. Excited for a guys road trip, Chandler joins him but Joey kicks him out of the car when he lets it slip that he doesn't think this is going to be Joey's big break. Rachel has an eye infection but refuses to do anything to treat it. Phoebe is mad at Ross for something but she can't remember what it is. It turns out that it may have all just been a dream.
