Le Club RFI Goma, très actif auprès de la population notamment des personnes déplacées de guerre malgré le contexte sécuritaire difficile dans la région. Le Club passe en revue les activités réalisées, notamment la mise en place d'un réseau de 180 jeunes « bâtisseurs de paix », répartis dans plusieurs quartiers de Goma et de Nyiragongo. Ces derniers sont chargés de sensibiliser les communautés aux valeurs de paix, de dialogue et de cohésion sociale. Dans le cadre du projet « Donne-moi aussi une chance », le Club a permis à 30 orphelins de guerre d'accéder à une formation professionnelle dans divers métiers, notamment la mécanique, la soudure, la plomberie et la couture… essentielles pour leur autonomisation. Le Club RFI Goma compte pérenniser ce projet. Il a aussi accordé un accompagnement psychosocial aux populations déplacées et aux communautés locales traumatisées par les affres des conflits armés, grâce à une approche basée sur la cinéma thérapie. En deux ans, plus 102 000 personnes dont la plupart sont des femmes et enfants déplacés de guerre et vivant dans des camps de réfugiés ont été accompagnés. Par ailleurs, le 4 mars 2026, le coordonnateur principal délégué du Club RFI Goma, Zacharie Bashiwira, a été honoré pour son engagement social et humanitaire en faveur des jeunes et la promotion des droits des femmes. Il a reçu un diplôme de mérite, décerné par le Collectif des Associations Féminines pour le Développement (CAFED) en collaboration avec ONU Femmes, en reconnaissance de son implication auprès des personnes les plus démunies et de son travail pour la paix. Le Club RFI Ouaké du Bénin, aux côtés des TikTokeurs de Séméré, s'est réuni pour honorer les élèves les plus méritants de la région. Une cérémonie de remise de prix a été organisée au CEG Alindaou, afin de distinguer les meilleurs élèves de l'année 2024-2025. L'objectif : placer les valeurs de mérite, d'effort et de persévérance au cœur du milieu scolaire. Deux meilleurs élèves d'un établissement scolaire ont été récompensés. Kobossa Stéphane (avec une moyenne de 17,17) a reçu un vélo et Mamoudou Fadila moyenne de 16,61, s'est vu remettre des fournitures scolaires accompagnées d'une enveloppe financière. Cette remise des prix s'est déroulée en la présence des membres du Club RFI Ouaké, Bida Rachida, Abdoulaye A Rachidou et Morou Moukadassou.  Avec la participation de Taoffic Tassou, président du Club RFI Ouaké ; Soumanou  Adamou, secrétaire général du Club RFI Ouaké. Gabriella and Nicholas are 22 years old, and about to graduate from Purdue University and Indiana University respectively. This fall they will enter Medical School and will likely pursue careers in the medical field that will concentrate on Pediatric Cancer. Their cousin Maddox is now 14 years and well past his battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia but Maddox's sister Maia, who was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma in 2022 when she was 6 years old, passed away from this Bone Cancer on November 2nd of 2025. Gabriella and Nicholas will talk about what Maia went through during her cancer battle and will also talk about their amazing Strides For Sarcoma Non-Profit which they started after Maia relapsed, which shows both their dedication to Maia and their dedication to doing what they can to help eradicate the disease that Maia was forced to go through.

Tout plaquer à 50 ans et se lancer dans le Vendée Globe : voilà, en peu de mots, le parcours de Manu Cousin, loin, très loin des trajectoires classiques de la course au large professionnelle.Né à Rouen en 1967, il découvre la mer très jeune par le biais familial et construit, au fil des années, une relation intense avec la voile. Longtemps, elle demeure une passion parallèle à une carrière professionnelle "normale" menée en entreprise, un équilibre assumé qui façonne sa manière d'aborder la performance et l'engagement sportif.Tout bascule après un congé sabbatique passé en famille sur l'eau en 2003, puis une Transquadra courue en 2010. Il s'oriente alors vers la Class40 et y forge une approche méthodique du projet sportif : compréhension fine du bateau, gestion des moyens limités, attention portée à la fiabilité et à la technique. Mais ce n'est qu'à l'issue de la Transat Jacques Vabre 2017, qu'il pense, aidé par son partenaire, au Vendée Globe, jusqu'ici très éloigné de ses ambitions.Avec sa femme Sandrine, ils démissionnent alors de leurs CDI respectifs de cadres commerciaux, vendent leur maison de Normandie et déménagent aux Sables d'Olonne pour une nouvelle vie, à 50 ans.Courses après courses, il apprend l'Imoca sur le bateau qu'il a racheté à Arnaud Boissières, et un nouveau métier, celui d'entrepreneur, traversant le Covid et se qualifiant pour le Vendée Globe 2020. La casse de son vérin de quille vient profondément marquer son épreuve, qu'il parvient néanmoins à terminer et se classer 23e. L'expérience renforce sa conviction que boucler un tour du monde en solitaire constitue déjà, en soi, une forme d'accomplissement. Mais il sait déjà qu'il veut repartir.La préparation de son second Vendée Globe est fauchée en plein vol par le départ de son partenaire, juste après la Route du Rhum 2022. Mais il parvient en quelques mois à reconstituer un collectif de sponsors et s'aligne en 2024 pour un nouveau Vendée Globe. Juste avant d'entrer dans le Grand Sud, il heurte violemment un objet ou un animal non identifié (Oani) et n'arrivera jamais à retrouver la sérénité nécessaire pour tirer sur sa machine.
