Pastor Sean preaches on Ephesians 3. Everyone loves a good mystery and in Ephesians 3 Paul explains the mystery of how the nations are blessed in Christ. As we've just finished up Genesis and are about to embark on a series on the church in Titus, consider this a sermon that bridges both of those. Originally recorded October 2, 2022.
Sean preaches on Genesis. For the past 19 months our church has journeyed through the book of Genesis chapter by chapter and verse by verse. In one final sermon we flyover the whole book to ensure we understand its overarching message and how it fits in into the grand story of redemption, pointing us to Jesus Christ. If you're a fan of stories where the hero wins, the villain loses, and all is well that ends well, you'll want to hear this. Originally recorded September 25, 2022
Jacob dies outside the promise land. Joseph's brothers are fearful about retribution. Joseph lives to a ripe old age and dies. On the surface it doesn't seem like this is a good ending to the book of Genesis. But, as we take a closer look we see that even in the face of sin and death, we can have confidence in the future because of good purposes and plans of God. Originally recorded September 18, 2022.
Pastor Sean will be preaching from Genesis 49:1-33. As we lean in to listen to Jacob's final words to his sons before he dies, we come face to face with the ways Yahweh intends to bless His covenant people, which is ultimately fulfilled through Jesus Christ. Will we walk away from this intimate scene in wonder that we can experience the blessing of Christ through Yahweh's blessing of Israel? Originally recorded September 11, 2022.

Pastor Caleb will be preaching from Genesis 46:28 - 47:31. As Jacob makes his way to Egypt and looks to settle in the land we see five demonstrations of God's provision for the covenant family. As we trace God's provision for the covenant family it should bolster our confidence and bring us comfort that God will ultimately provide for His people. Originally recorded August 28, 2022.
Pastor Sean will be preaching from Genesis 46:1-27. As Jacob plans to head to Egypt to see Joseph after many years, there's a conundrum: he has to leave the land of promise, which in the past has not gone well for others. But before he leaves, he first draws near to God in worship in a significant place. What happens there changes absolutely everything, showing us the beauty of drawing near to God, and compelling us to do the same. Originally recorded August 21, 2022.
Pastor Sean will be preaching from Genesis 45:1-28. The evil deeds of others against us, and the suffering that this causes, are agonizing loose ends in our lives. How are we to make sense of them? How can God possibly weave them into what He is doing for His glory and for our good? In Genesis 45 the answer to these perennial questions begins to emerge in a climactic moment in Joseph's life. As we will discover, our sovereign God, Yahweh, makes even evil deeds serve to establish his glory, and to accomplish our good and gladness in Christ. Of this we can rest assured. Originally recorded August 14, 2022.
Pastor Sean will be preaching from Genesis 44:1-34. Originally recorded August 7, 2022.
Pastor Sean will be preaching from Genesis 43. Many times in life we wonder if anything will ever change from the same old same old. This was certainly a question for the mess of the covenant family. While Joseph has been in Egypt for years, not much seems to be different with his father Jacob and his eleven brothers. But as Yahweh's unstoppable providence continues to unfold, much is about to change, giving us hope for ourselves as we submit to God's redemptive purposes working out in our world. Are we ready and willing to see our resistance to Yahweh's ways, our fears over His methods, and our puny thinking over His accomplishments give way before His unstoppable providence? Originally recorded July 31, 2022.
Pastor Caleb will be preaching from Genesis 42:1-38. Famine reunites Joseph and his brothers, though the brothers have no idea that the governor of Egypt is the brother they sold into slavery twenty years ago. The fingerprints of God's providence are all over this text as worldwide events bring the brothers together again and the guilt of the past is brought to the surface. Originally recorded July 24, 2022.

Pastor Sean will be preaching from Genesis 40:1-23. We're over a decade along in Joseph's descent down to the pit, down to Egypt, and down to prison. This continues to be a long, difficult valley in the providence of God. And yet, as Joseph's journey continues, we see Yahweh supply him with everything needed along every step of the way. This gives us confidence to trust God for ourselves and His covenant people in any challenging circumstances we encounter. Originally recorded July 3, 2022.
Pastor Brian will be preaching from Genesis 39:1-23. Originally recorded June 26, 2022.
Pastor Brian will be preaching from Genesis 38:1-30. In what is a dark passage, and a seemingly out-of-place story of Judah and Tamar, God provides glimmers of good news that should encourage us all. Originally recorded June 19, 2022.
Pastor Kevin will be preaching from Genesis 37:12-36 God repeatedly works his plans and purposes of redemption through the perverse plots of people. We see this in the life of Joseph beginning in Genesis 37:12 and ultimately at the cross of Christ where salvation is secured. Furthermore, this pattern reveals what we may expect our own path of redemption will look like. Originally recorded June 12, 2022.

Pastor Caleb preaches from Genesis 35:1-29. As the Jacob narrative (Genesis 25 - 35) comes to a close, it is evident that Jacob's life has been one of continual turbulence; Jacob has been the cause of his own distress. In Genesis 35 we are pointed to the enduring grace of God - a grace that meets us in our distress and failure. Originally recorded Sunday, May 8, 2022.
Pastor Sean preaches from Genesis 34:1-31. Like his father Isaac before him, and his grandfather Abraham before him, Jacob's failures, and the failures of his sons, are utterly repugnant. These are some of the worst moments of Jacob's life, calling into question how it is that Yahweh could stomach partnering with such flawed individuals. Yet despite the colossal failures of the seed of Abraham, Yahweh's faithfulness to raise up one born of a woman to crush the head of the serpent is invincible, and this is the best of God that we ache for when the complete disaster of partial obedience exposes us to the worst of people. Originally recorded Sunday, May 1, 2022.
Pastor Roger Pascoe will be preaching from Genesis 33:1-20. The main message of this chapter is that reconciliation is made possible through humility and love that are rooted in God's grace. Originally recorded April 24, 2022.

Dr. Stephen Yuille preaches from Romans 5:8-9. Originally recorded Good Friday, April 15, 2022.
Pastor Sean preaching from Genesis 32:1-32 - Jacob undergoes an extremely significant transformation in Genesis 32. He has to deal with Esau, and by extension, God, as a result of his deception 20 years earlier. He is threatened, fearful, prayerful, wrestles with God alone in the dark, is defeated, and limps away, yet with a new name and God's blessing at the break of day. Are we prepared for God to humble our schemes and ambitions so that we would truly know his blessing? Originally recorded April 10, 2022.

In the world of music there is a term known as “overture,” which introduces melodies, harmonies, and movements that the audience will hear throughout a performance. As we continue in Genesis, we come to a theological overture in the life of Jacob, a taste of what is to come for those who belong to Yahweh. But is this anthem one that our ears are tuned to? Is Yahweh's salvation anthem the theme song of our lives? Pastor Sean is preaching from Genesis 31:22-55. Originally recorded March 27, 2022.
