Lori Vallow Daybell's Final Words & Closing Arguments - A Family Tragedy or Calculated Crime The Lori Vallow Daybell trial has reached a pivotal moment. On April 21, 2025, closing arguments were delivered in the Maricopa County courtroom, leaving the jury to deliberate on a case that has captivated the nation. In this video, we delve into the prosecution's assertion that Vallow Daybell and her brother, Alex Cox, conspired to murder her estranged husband, Charles Vallow, motivated by a $1 million life insurance policy and her desire to be with Chad Daybell. We also examine Vallow Daybell's self-representation and her claim that the incident was a family tragedy, not a crime. Join us as we analyze the legal strategies, the psychological elements, and the complex web of religious beliefs that have made this case one of the most intriguing in recent history. #LoriVallowDaybell #TrueCrime #CharlesVallow #DoomsdayMom #CourtroomDrama #MurderTrial #ClosingArguments #AlexCox #ChadDaybell #JusticeForCharles Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? “Then Jesus shouted, ‘Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!’ And with those words he breathed his last.” (Luke 23:46 NLT) Today we are going to discover the most painful moment in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. What do you think it was? Perhaps your mind races to the crucifixion itself. You think of the spikes being driven into His hands and feet. As painful and horrific as that was, I don’t believe that was His most painful moment. Perhaps you think of the scourging that took place prior to the crucifixion. The Roman whip literally tore Jesus’ back open, exposing his vital organs. As horrible as that was, I don’t believe it was His most painful moment. Perhaps you think of how all His disciples, with the exception of one, deserted Him in His hour of need. As horrible and painful as that must have been, I don’t believe that it was His most painful moment. I believe Jesus’ most painful moment is captured in His words in Matthew 27:46. Jesus uttered seven statements while He hung on the cross. Each one gives us insight into what He was experiencing, fulfilling, and accomplishing as He paid the ultimate price for our sin. The first reveals the depth of His suffering. “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?” (Matthew 27:46 NLT). The intimacy that Jesus shared with His heavenly Father in the Garden of Gethsemane just a few hours earlier was gone. In its place was the wrath of the holy God. Jesus used the words of Psalm 22:1 to express His agony as He faced that wrath alone. God turned away from Jesus as He endured the punishment for the sins of the world. That spiritual abandonment was far more devastating than the physical pain Jesus experienced. “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34 NLT). Jesus’ enemies believed they were getting rid of a false messiah. They didn’t realize they were crucifying the Son of God, who was giving His life to save them. Jesus’ compassion on those who mocked and tortured Him is an amazing example of divine grace. “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise” (Luke 23:43 NLT). This is the work of salvation. One of the revolutionaries who was being crucified next to Him said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.” He placed His faith in Jesus. In reply, Jesus assured him that he would be with Him in Heaven the moment he died. “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” (Luke 23:46 NLT). Jesus presented Himself to God as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world. He was ready to give up His life to complete the work of salvation. “Dear woman, here is your son”; “Here is your mother” (John 19:26–27 (NLT). Here’s another example of Jesus placing the needs of others above His own, even as He endured the agony of the cross. Jesus saw His mother in the crowd and wanted to make sure that she would be cared for. He entrusted her care to His beloved disciple John. “I am thirsty” (John 19:28 NLT). Jesus wasn’t trying to get His physical needs met. He was fulfilling the prophecy of Psalm 69:21: “They offer me sour wine for my thirst” (NLT). He said He was thirsty so that the Roman guards would give Him sour wine (vinegar). Jesus made one final statement from the cross. That will be the focus of our devotion tomorrow. Even in death, Jesus’ words are life-giving. His final utterances from the cross completed God’s work of salvation. They point us to eternal life, and they show us how to live this life abundantly by prioritizing God’s will. Reflection question: What do Jesus’ final words reveal about Him, His work, and His priorities? This episode's guest is actor, writer, voiceover artist, and unapologetic improv nerd, Roxana Ortega.Roxana is one of those rare artists whose vulnerability, honesty, and humor hit you all at once – and leave a lasting impression. If her voice sounds familiar, it might be because she's voiced everything from the passionate Frida Casagrande on The Casagrandes to characters in Call of Duty, Final Fantasy, and Monsters at Work. She's narrated Pulitzer Prize-winning novels, voiced countless animated characters, and is a master of voice matching (yes, she's dubbed for Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek). In our conversation, Roxana takes us through the unexpected path that led her to acting – from growing up in an academic household where creativity wasn't considered a “real” career, to having a life-changing epiphany while teaching English in Spain. We talk about the internal battle between playing it safe and going after what you truly want—and what it really means to decide to be an artist. We go deep into the power of improv as both a performance tool and a life philosophy, how failure can be a gift, and why community-building and representation matter now more than ever. Roxana shares how she uses her voice – literally and figuratively – to make space for underrepresented stories, and how she's continued to evolve as a writer, performer, and director.Whether you're someone who thrives on stage or someone working up the courage to take the leap, Roxana's journey will remind you that embracing risk, staying curious, and being fiercely yourself is always worth it.Episode Chapters 00:00 – Welcome + Introduction02:00 – Names, Language, and Laughter04:00 – Academic Roots & Artistic Restlessness07:55 – The Epiphany in Spain13:49 – “I Decided to Be an Actor”16:00 – Improv, Joy, and Redefining Failure21:45 – Performing, Directing, and Creating Her Own Work32:00 – Representation, Identity, and Making Space40:00 – The Tapestry of Humanity49:30 – Amazing Race Nerd Out50:50 – Blissful Spinster & Making Art on Your Own Terms54:35 – Final Words of Wisdom55:14 – What's Next for Roxana58:00 – Wrap-Up & Thank YouRoxana's Bio:Roxana Ortega is an American actor, writer, and voiceover artist who is known for voicing the ever-emotional Frida Casagrande on Nickelodeon's Emmy award-winning and Imagen award-winning cartoon The Casagrandes, a spinoff of the acclaimed series The Loud House.On-camera, she recently starred opposite Danny Trejo, Reno Wilson, and a cast of legends including Garrett Morris, Barry Bostwick, and James Hong in the Universal feature Grand-Daddy Day Care. Hey, Tribesmen—Episode 61 is here, and this one is for every man who's tired of burning out and ready to build a life that works. I sat down with Ari Meisel, creator of The Replaceable Founder and author of Less Doing, and his story is exactly what we need right now. Ari went from battling a chronic disease that nearly shut his life down to helping entrepreneurs reclaim their time, energy, and purpose. His approach to productivity isn't just about doing less—it's about becoming more. More present. More effective. More in control. If you've ever felt like your business owns you, like your calendar is running your life, or like you're constantly stuck in “busy mode”… this episode will shift something inside you. What You'll Learn: The Crohn's diagnosis that forced Ari to rethink everything—and launched his framework for true freedom How to stop being the bottleneck in your business (and finally start growing again) The difference between doing less and being lazy—and why letting go is real leadership The three-step system: Optimize → Automate → Outsource—and how it changes everything How Ari runs a family of 7, volunteers, and still stays grounded in Torah values What productivity really means when you're leading a family and a business Why being replaceable is a badge of honor—not a weakness What holds most men back from being productive (hint: it's not your schedule—it's your mindset) Key Takeaways for the Tribe: ✅ Let Go to Lead Stronger True leadership isn't doing everything yourself. It's empowering others and building systems that last. ✅ Freedom Is the Goal Not just freedom from your business—but freedom to live, grow, and lead with clarity. ✅ Optimize First, Always Before outsourcing or automating anything, get clear. Simplicity beats speed. ✅ Your Calendar Reflects Your Heart If you're not scheduling what matters—faith, family, growth—it's time to make a change. ✅ The Mind Is the First System Your thoughts shape your productivity. Fix what's in your head, and the rest will follow. Show Notes: Introduction (00:00): Welcoming Ari Meisel to the show and how this episode came together. The Wake-Up Call (01:14): How a Crohn's diagnosis and health crisis launched Ari into a journey of optimization. Productivity Framework (03:09): The three-step system that changed his life: Optimize → Automate → Outsource. Leadership & Identity (10:08): Why many founders are addicted to being busy—and how to build a business that thrives without you. Replaceable ≠ Disposable (12:00): Ari's view on what true leadership means and why it requires letting go. Systems for Family (15:00): How Ari applies productivity at home with five kids, volunteer work, and faith at the center. Practical Tools (18:00): From AI to Amazon Subscribe & Save—how to stop wasting time and start owning it. Business Coaching & Clarity (19:46): How Ari works with entrepreneurs to remove bottlenecks and build effective teams. The Real Reason You're Not Productive (22:01): Why your mindset is the first system you need to fix. Final Words (28:00): Why productivity isn't about doing more—it's about becoming more of who you're meant to be.     This episode isn't just for entrepreneurs. It's for every man who wants to stop surviving and start building something that lasts—without losing himself in the process. Stay strong, stay disciplined, Yigal P.S. If this hit home, take one step today. Go to lessdoing.com, check out Ari's tools, or just start tracking your day. One change can start the shift.

It Is Finished: Understanding the Significance of Jesus' Final Words on the Cross

How to Study the Bible

It is finished. This week, we are in part two of our Signs and Prophecies little mini series, this part of John chapter 19, Jesus's crucifixion, his death, and the profound significance of what Jesus has done for us through the cross. We were in and talked deeply about all of these pieces and details of the story of his crucifixion and how they connect to the Old Testament last week. So if you have not listened to that, I would encourage you to go back and listen to it. But what I want to do today is focus truly on only three words that are spoken in this chapter. We're going to look at Jesus declaring it is finished. What is he talking about? What mission was he on? And how was it completed at that moment? Completion of Jesus' Mission Obedience to the Father: Throughout His ministry, Jesus emphasized His commitment to fulfilling the will of the Father. In John 4 and John 17, He speaks of His mission to take on the sin of the world. This mission extends beyond individual sins to encompass the totality of sin that has corrupted creation. By declaring "It is finished," Jesus confirms that He has completed the work necessary for redemption. Fulfillment of Prophecy: Jesus' death on the cross fulfills numerous Old Testament prophecies regarding the Messiah. The significance of this fulfillment connects to the overarching narrative of God's plan for humanity. The declaration "It is finished" signifies that God was not surprised by the events of redemption; rather, they were part of a divine plan established from the beginning. This understanding reassures believers that God's sovereignty encompasses both human agency and the unfolding of history. Theological Significance of "Tētelestai": The Greek word "tētelestai," translated as "It is finished," carries legal and financial connotations, meaning "paid in full." This indicates that the debt of sin has been completely settled. Jesus' sacrifice on the cross was a one-time act that paid the penalty for sin—past, present, and future. This moment marks the end of the need for repeated sacrifices, as Jesus' death serves as the ultimate atonement. End of the Old Covenant: Jesus' declaration signifies the conclusion of the old covenant sacrificial system. In the Old Testament, atonement for sin required continual sacrifices, but with Jesus' death, the need for such sacrifices is abolished. He is the perfect Passover lamb, and His sacrifice fulfills the requirements of the law, allowing believers to enter into a new relationship with God without the need for ongoing sacrifices. Victory Over Evil: The declaration "It is finished" also signifies victory over Satan and the forces of evil. While Jesus' death may have appeared as a defeat, it was, in fact, a triumph over sin, death, and the devil. By saying "It is finished," Jesus announces that the power of sin has been broken, and the enemy's work has been destroyed. His resurrection further affirms this victory, demonstrating that death has been conquered. Beginning of the New Covenant: Finally, Jesus' declaration marks the initiation of the new covenant. During the Last Supper, He spoke of a new covenant in His blood, which is now available to all who believe. This new covenant transcends ethnic and national boundaries, offering salvation to anyone who places their faith in Him. The declaration "It is finished" opens the door for all of humanity to receive eternal life through belief in Jesus. We're going to be looking at what happens next in the resurrection in the coming weeks. But until that time, I want to encourage you to rest in this reality that we have a God who has woven together this incredibly beautiful, long, detailed story of exactly what happens here in this culminating moment where we see all of Jesus's life come to fruition his mission completed here on the cross so that you and I might have life and freedom and love and confidence in knowing our Heavenly Father. Forgiveness at the Cross: Christ's Final Words and Their Eternal Impact

In the midst of his greatest suffering, Jesus offers us the most profound lessons about forgiveness. While inches away from the cross, after being mocked and beaten, Jesus shows more concern for others than for himself.Through just three statements spoken from the cross, Jesus revolutionizes our understanding of forgiveness. His first words, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do," reveal that forgiveness is something Jesus offers freely, even to those actively causing him harm. This forces us to confront uncomfortable questions: Have we truly forgiven others, or have we merely stopped thinking about them? Is there someone we claim to have forgiven while secretly maintaining a record of their wrongs? When Jesus tells the repentant thief, "Today you will be with me in paradise," we see forgiveness practiced fully. Notice how Jesus interrupts his communion with the Father to welcome one more sinner into the kingdom. The criminal's simple request—"Jesus, remember me"—stands in stark contrast to our complicated formulas for salvation. This reveals the beautiful truth that nothing and no one is beyond God's forgiveness, challenging us to examine whether we're holding someone's past sin as greater than God's current grace. With his final words, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit," Jesus fulfills forgiveness finally. All sin—past, present, and future—has been completely dealt with. The debt is canceled, not just deferred. This invites us to trust that our own sins are truly forgiven and to extend that same complete forgiveness to others. Most powerfully, we see humanity's transformation through witnessing Christ's forgiveness. Our first response at the cross—"He saved others, let him save himself"—becomes "Certainly this man was innocent." When we truly encounter Christ's forgiveness, we can't help but be changed. Will you allow that transformation to reshape how you forgive others today? If you want to learn more about the MidTree story or connect with us, go to our website HERE or text us at 812-MID-TREE.

Today is March 26th, and you are joining us on day 86 of our journey through the Bible, guided by your host and Bible reading coach, Hunter. Together, we will delve into the rich passages of Joshua chapters 23 and 24, Psalm 44, and 1 Corinthians 11. In this episode, Hunter explores the theme of faithfulness, reflecting on Joshua's charge to the Israelites and their bold declarations to serve the Lord. However, as Hunter reminds us, it was Christ who truly fulfilled what we could not, offering us the gift of life through His finished work. As we meditate on these scriptures and join in prayer, let this time be a source of comfort and strength, reminding us of God's presence and love in our lives. So, wherever you are, settle in as we spend these moments together in God's Word and in prayer. Enjoy today's episode! TODAY'S DEVOTION: We will serve the Lord—or so we say. This was the bold proclamation of the Israelites to Joshua. They promised their unwavering allegiance to God. Yet, Joshua challenged their declaration, asserting their inability to uphold such a promise. The cry of the flesh is loud—boasting of what it will do. Even Peter, in his own resolve, stated he would never disown the Lord. But before the rooster crowed, his flesh betrayed his resolve three times. Human resolve can be a frail thing; the flesh is prone to failure. What we truly need is someone who has already accomplished what we cannot. Enter our Lord Jesus. He didn't just promise obedience—He lived it. He perfectly upheld the covenant that Adam and all his descendants couldn't. Jesus served His Father completely, from beginning to end. He did it, and with His final breath, declared, "It is finished." Therefore, as followers of Christ, let us move away from the notion of what we will do, and rest in the confidence of what has been done. Jesus has accomplished it. It is finished. His work allows us to remain in the land, in Him, in His promises, and in life. Every day, remind your heart that He has done it. This is a prayer I hold for my own soul, for my family—my wife, daughters, and son—and for you. May it be so, as we continue to live in the victory secured by Christ. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose  through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen.   Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.   And now Lord,  make me an instrument of your peace.  Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon.  Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope.  Where there is darkness, light.  And where there is sadness,  Joy.  Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love.  For it is in the giving that we receive, in the pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in the dying that we are born unto eternal life.  Amen And now as our Lord has taught us we are bold to pray... Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Loving God, we give you thanks for restoring us in your image. And nourishing us with spiritual food, now send us forth as forgiven people, healed and renewed, that we may proclaim your love to the world, and continue in the risen life of Christ.  Amen.  OUR WEBSITE: www.dailyradiobible.com We are reading through the New Living Translation.   Leave us a voicemail HERE: https://www.speakpipe.com/dailyradiobible Subscribe to us at YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Dailyradiobible/featured OTHER PODCASTS: Listen with Apple Podcast DAILY BIBLE FOR KIDS DAILY PSALMS DAILY PROVERBS DAILY LECTIONARY DAILY CHRONOLOGICAL

Daniel Gutierrez was once at the top of his game in the business world—an advisor to the Obama Administration, a big-time speaker, and a highly paid consultant to major organizations. But then he left it all behind to embark on a spiritual journey toward self-love. Now a mindfulness master (danielgutierrez.com) and bestselling author (Radical Mindfulness), he leads life-changing retreats to Peru, teaching Radical Mindfulness and the power of living and loving fully in the present. A Life-Changing Encounter with Wachuma In his search for enlightenment, Daniel took San Pedro (Wachuma), a plant medicine known for opening the heart and deepening wisdom. Unlike the intense night visions of Ayahuasca, Wachuma is taken during the day, bringing clarity and connection to nature. During the experience, he saw a powerful condor (a large bird of prey)—a sign to trust his inner wisdom and embrace his path as a teacher and healer. A Mother's Final Words of Freedom During his mother's dying moments, Daniel experienced the sacred energy of Palo Santo wood. He saw two lights and felt her presence. Her last words to him: “You were here when I needed you. I release you to the world.” With that blessing, he stepped fully into his mission of love and mindfulness. Radical Mindfulness: The Art of Being Fully Present Mindfulness rewires the brain—lowering fear, increasing memory and planning, and boosting compassion by 23%, while reducing aggression by 57%. Daniel's Six-Step Radical Mindfulness Framework helps people stay present: Focus on the present (breath, senses). Direct thoughts to the moment. Ask: Am I okay right now? Question fear: Is this real? Assess: Am I moving toward or away from my goal? Take action: Shift energy through movement. Plant Medicine: Nature's Teachers and Healers Daniel learned that Indigenous wisdom sees plants as living beings (Anima). If a plant loves you, it heals you. This is a sacred exchange—plants willingly offer their spirit when treated with gratitude and respect. Spiritual Wisdom From the Jungle Here are some of Daniel's Nuggets of Natural Higher Knowledge: Healing isn't the goal—love is. When you love, healing happens. Don't wait for the storm to pass—dance in the rain. The dangers of the jungle aren't there just to kill, but to protect (like in life, what you fear may be guarding something valuable). Unplug from technology to reconnect with yourself. Guilt and sadness come from burdening yourself with self-harming expectations—but Radical Mindfulness teaches acceptance and love. Finding Peace in Sacred Lands Daniel now runs the Catalina Retreat Center (catalinaretreatcenterperu.com), named after his beloved departed mother. He leads earnest seekers on transformational journeys to Peru, including spiritually evolved places such as Cusco and Machu Picchu in the Andes.   A New Definition of Success Once a "big baller" in the business world, Daniel discovered that true success isn't about money or power. It's about stillness, presence, and love. On Love University, we invite you to embrace the powerful lesson inspired by Daniel's journey to peace and self-acceptance: Live more. Love more. Be more. When you do this, the world opens its arms to you, and your joy will be unending. Listen to the full episode with Daniel Gutierrez on Love University Podcast. Take the first step toward a life of peace and purpose—because true success begins within.
