Christ invites the thirsty to come and drink freely of His grace. His Word brings life, accomplishing God's purposes and satisfying our deepest hunger. In Him, we find joy, peace, and abundance that never runs dry.

Jesus is the Servant who bears our griefs and carries our sins. Through His wounds we are healed, and His sacrifice brings us peace. In Him, God's plan of salvation is accomplished for all who believe.

God promises streams in the desert, and Christ fulfills this by making all things new. He redeems His people, calling them by name and leading them through trials. In Him, we see the new creation springing forth with grace and life.

Where there was wilderness, Christ brings life and joy. He heals the broken, strengthens the weak, and makes the desert bloom with hope. In Him, the redeemed walk the highway of holiness toward everlasting joy.

Human strength and false alliances cannot save, but Christ the King reigns in righteousness. He is our refuge, bringing peace and security to His people. In Him, we learn to trust God alone and live under His just rule.

God prepares a feast where death is swallowed up forever. In Christ's resurrection, this promise is fulfilled, and tears are wiped away. The King invites us to rejoice in His victory and share in His banquet of salvation.

From what seemed dead, God raises new life in Christ, the righteous Branch. Jesus rules with wisdom, justice, and peace, gathering people from every nation. In Him, the promise of renewal and unity is fulfilled.

Into the world's darkness, God shines His light through the promised Son. Jesus is the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, and Prince of Peace who reigns with justice. In Him, the dawn of salvation breaks, and His Kingdom brings everlasting joy.

All false gods will fall, but Christ the true King stands forever. He alone brings salvation and security when human pride and idols collapse. In Him, we find lasting hope and the only foundation that endures.

The risen Jesus declares His authority over heaven and earth, commissioning His disciples to make disciples of all nations. Through baptism and teaching, He calls His people to carry the message of His Kingdom into the world. The King promises His abiding presence, assuring that His mission will be accomplished through His people until the end of the age.

In the upper room, Jesus gives His body and blood as the new covenant, pointing to the cross where salvation is secured. In Gethsemane, the King submits fully to the Father's will, bearing the weight of our sin in prayerful agony. His sacrifice reveals the depth of His love and the cost of our redemption, inviting us to trust Him as the Saviour-King.

Jesus demonstrates the authority of the Kingdom by healing the sick, cleansing the leper, and casting out demons. His power to save reveals not only His compassion but also His identity as the promised King who carries our burdens. In Christ, we see the Kingdom breaking into a broken world, offering hope, healing, and salvation to all who trust Him.

Jesus, the true King, reveals the heart of God's Kingdom by teaching righteousness that surpasses mere rule-keeping. In Him, the Law is not abolished but fulfilled, pointing us to the deeper obedience of love and holiness. The King calls His people to shine as salt and light, living out His Kingdom in a way that reflects His perfect righteousness.

Jesus begins His ministry by proclaiming the good news: the Kingdom of Heaven has drawn near in Him. He calls ordinary people to follow, transforming fishermen into disciples who will share His mission. The King's presence brings light to those in darkness, inviting us to repent, believe, and join His Kingdom work.

John's call to repentance prepared the way for Jesus, the true King who brings God's Kingdom near. In His baptism, Christ identifies with sinners, fulfills righteousness, and is affirmed by the Father and Spirit as the beloved Son. The King has come—not only to reign, but to redeem, inviting us to follow Him into the life of His Kingdom.

Our quarrels and struggles often spring from pride and misplaced desires, yet God does not abandon us—He gives more grace. In Jesus, the One who humbled Himself to the cross, we receive the mercy and forgiveness we could never earn. As we trust in Jesus, His grace lifts us up and makes us new.

In our struggles, it is easy to grow weary, yet God uses trials as loving discipline to shape us into the likeness of His Son. Jesus endured the cross for the joy set before Him, and by fixing our eyes on Him, we find strength to persevere. Through His grace, our trials become training that produces holiness, peace, and a harvest of righteousness in our lives.

Faith is not wishful thinking but confident trust in the God who keeps His promises. By faith, Noah built, Abraham obeyed, and Sarah believed—because they trusted the unseen yet faithful Christ who would come. Faith looks beyond what is visible, holding fast to Jesus, who makes the impossible possible and brings life out of death.

Because Christ has loved us with a self-giving love, we are called to love one another with that same kind of love in our daily lives. Even as we grieve the reality of death, we do not grieve as those without hope, for Jesus died and rose again. When He returns, He will gather His people to Himself forever, and until that day we live in love while we wait in sure hope.

Through His death and resurrection, Christ has raised us into a new life that is hidden with Him in God. We are called to take off the old clothing of sin and self, and put on the new garments of compassion, kindness, humility, and love. Clothed in Christ, we live each day as His new creation, reflecting His grace in all we do.

Jesus, though fully God, humbled Himself by taking on the form of a servant and going all the way to the cross for us. In His self-giving love, we see that true greatness is found not in grasping for power but in laying our lives down in service. Because Christ went down in humility, God exalted Him above every name—and in Him, the way down is the way up.

“Growing Up Together” centers on Christ as the head of the Church, who calls us into unity and maturity through His grace. As we each use the gifts He's given, we build up His body in love, growing to reflect His character and truth more fully. Anchored in Him, we move toward spiritual maturity side by side, so the world sees the fullness of Christ alive in His people.

“Spirit-led Living” begins with fixing our eyes on Jesus, who fulfilled the law perfectly and now pours out His Spirit to empower us. As we yield to Him daily, the Spirit shapes our hearts to bear His fruit—love, joy, peace, and more—reflecting Christ's own character in our lives. Walking in step with the Spirit keeps us close to Jesus and makes our lives a living testimony of His transforming grace to the world.

In Acts 22:30–23:11, Paul stands before a divided and hostile council, facing conflict not with fear, but with courage rooted in his faith. Despite the chaos, God uses Paul's boldness and wisdom to reveal the gospel even in the most challenging circumstances. That night, the Lord stands by Paul and assures him that his mission is not over—he will testify in Rome. When we face conflict for the sake of Christ, we are never alone; God gives us courage and stands with us.

In Acts 16, Paul and Silas are thrown into prison, but God breaks their chains with an earthquake—not just to free them, but to reveal His power and grace. Instead of escaping, they stay and share the gospel, leading their jailer and his household to faith in Jesus. This story shows that true freedom isn't just release from physical bondage, but new life in Christ. When God breaks chains, He sets hearts free.

In Acts 11, Peter recounts how God broke down the barriers between Jews and Gentiles by pouring out the Holy Spirit on all who believe. What once seemed unclean or unreachable is now embraced by God's grace through Jesus Christ. This moment challenges the early church—and us—to rethink who belongs in the family of God. When God breaks barriers, He invites us to join Him in a mission that includes everyone, everywhere.

In Acts 9, Saul is struck blind on the road to Damascus so that he can finally see the truth about Jesus. His physical blindness mirrors the spiritual blindness that had kept him from recognizing God's grace. Through the power of Christ and the obedience of Ananias, Saul is healed, baptized, and called into a new life. Sometimes God must break through our resistance to open our eyes to His mercy and mission.

When the Spirit comes, God's presence is no longer distant but dwells within His people. At Pentecost, the promised Holy Spirit filled ordinary believers with boldness, power, and the ability to speak the gospel to every nation. This outpouring marks the beginning of a new era where all who call on the name of the Lord are saved. The same Spirit who empowered the early church is still moving today—filling, transforming, and sending us out for God's mission.

In Luke 24:36–53, the risen Jesus appears to His disciples, speaking peace to their fear, showing the power of His resurrection, and giving the promise of the Spirit. He opens their minds to understand the Scriptures and commissions them as witnesses of His victory over death. His ascension is not a farewell but a beginning, as they are clothed with power from on high. In Christ, we receive peace for our fears, power for our mission, and the promise of His presence always.

In Luke 19:1–10, grace comes home when Jesus enters the house—and heart—of Zacchaeus, a man lost in greed and shame. Though the crowd saw only a sinner, Jesus saw a son in need of saving and called him by name. That day, grace broke through the walls of status and sin, bringing repentance, joy, and restoration. When grace comes home, salvation follows, because Jesus came to seek and save the lost.

In Luke 15:11–32, Jesus reveals the heart of the Father through the parable of the prodigal son—a heart full of mercy, longing, and lavish grace. The father runs to the repentant sinner, not with condemnation, but with open arms and a feast of restoration. He pleads with both the wayward and the self-righteous, desiring that all His children live in the joy of His love. This is the Father's heart: patient, generous, and always ready to welcome us home.

In Luke 11:1–13, Jesus responds to His disciples' request with a model prayer that centers on God's holiness, kingdom, provision, forgiveness, and guidance. He not only teaches what to pray, but reveals the heart of a Father who loves to give good gifts to His children. Prayer is not a ritual to perform but a relationship to pursue—with boldness, persistence, and trust. When we ask, seek, and knock, we find that the Father is eager to answer, especially by giving us the greatest gift of all: the Holy Spirit.

The Word of God accomplishes more in this world than we can dare dream of.  After all, God created our world with words.  The Word of God smashes rocks.  The Word of God is sharper than a two edged sword.  The Word of God never returns to God without producing something.  it's worth listening to.

In Luke 4:14–21, Jesus declares in the synagogue that He is the fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecy—the one anointed to bring good news to the poor, liberty to the captives, and sight to the blind. On that day, grace itself spoke through Him, proclaiming the arrival of God's favor. His words were not just ancient promises, but present reality in His person and mission. In Jesus, grace is not an idea—it is a voice, a presence, and a power that transforms lives today.

The Bible, in many places and ways, calls us to 'Rejoice always! Give thanks and trust in God at all times.' Easy enough to do when life is going the way we want. How can we do this in the midst of grief, injustice, uncertainty, and doubt? Is it just a matter of confessing we are falling short and being forgiven? Or does GOD have something more in mind for us? With three readings (Psalm 66:1-7; Philippians 4:4-9; Matthew 5:1-12), and examples from three people in congregations he served, and his own life, Pastor Craig invites us to consider our options.

We are to welcome one another. Indeed, central to the Christian gospel and way of life is fellowship and reconciliation, with God and with one another. This is vividly illustrated in Paul's dramatic little letter to Philemon, in which the apostle urges Philemon to welcome back his runaway slave Onesimus, now as a brother and coworker in the faith.

In 2 Corinthians 4:5–18, Paul reminds us that though we are fragile like jars of clay, we carry the priceless treasure of the gospel. Our weakness reveals that the surpassing power belongs to God, not to us. Though outwardly we waste away, inwardly we are being renewed by God's grace day by day. This momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal glory far outweighing it all, as we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.

In 1 Corinthians 15:12–28, Paul proclaims the resurrection of Christ as the decisive victory of the Triune God over sin and death. The Son reigns in power, subduing every enemy until the last—death itself—is destroyed. Through the resurrection, the Father's plan is fulfilled, the Son's reign is established, and the Spirit gives life to all who believe. In the triumph of Christ, we see the unity and glory of our Triune God, securing our hope and eternal future.

This Pentecost, we remember not just the fire and wind, but the quiet, steady presence of the Spirit Jesus promised. In The Spirit of Power and Peace, we'll explore how the Holy Spirit empowers us to live with courage and fills us with a peace the world cannot give. As fear rises and chaos swirls, Jesus speaks comfort: “Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” Come and discover how the Spirit still breathes power and peace into every follower of Christ today.

What if the strength God gave you wasn't just for you? In Romans 15:1-13, Paul calls us to bear with the weak, build one another up, and live in harmony rooted in the hope of Christ. This hope isn't wishful thinking—it's a confident joy that overflows through the power of the Holy Spirit. God is inviting you to become a person of encouragement, pointing others to the him, for he welcomes all.

What does it really look like to live a life shaped by God's mercy? In Romans 12:1-2, 9-21, Paul paints a powerful picture of true worship—not just in songs or rituals, but in everyday acts of love, humility, and grace. This transformed life rejects the patterns of the world and embraces a radical way of living that overcomes evil with good. Hear how God is inviting you to surrender fully to Christ and become a living witness to His redeeming love.

Imagine living without the weight of guilt constantly pressing on your soul. In Romans 8:1-11, Paul announces the liberating truth that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are no longer bound to sin but are set free to walk in newness of life. God is inviting you to experience the joy, freedom, and transformation that only life in the Spirit can bring.

What if peace with God wasn't something you had to chase, but something already secured? In Romans 5:1-11, Paul shows us that through faith in Christ, we not only stand justified but also stand in unshakable hope—even in suffering. God is inviting you to discover the deep assurance and joy that flow from his love poured into our hearts.

What if your standing before God didn't depend on your performance, but on His promise? In Romans 3:19-31, Paul unveils the stunning truth that we are made right with God by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. God is inviting you to lay down your striving and receive the freedom that only the gospel can give.

All of us live by faith in something. The object of our faith might be our own abilities or possessions, some guru on YouTube, or the author of the last book we read. Those many options come with consequences, for if the object of our faith is flawed it will eventually fail and our life will be shattered as a result. Only Jesus won forgiveness, salvation and eternal life for us through his life, death and resurrection. Therefore, we live by faith in him. (Based on Romans 1:8-17.)

Fear is a natural response to any stimulus that we think might threaten or overwhelm us. But what kind of fear do you want to have in your heart? Do you want to fear death, condemnation and all the turmoil in the world? Or do you want to fear the God who can cause you to tremble with astonishment over what he does to save you? Choose your fear wisely. (Based on Mark 16:1-8.)

Two thousand years ago, as now, there were differing opinions about who Jesus really was. Peter got it right when he identified Jesus as the Messiah, the One sent from God to save his people. Jesus is the King who went to the cross to save us and make us one of God's people. In thanksgiving for what he has done for us, we focus our minds on the concerns of God. (Based on Mark 8:29-38.)

Why do some believe in Jesus and others do not? In the Parable of the Sower, Jesus teaches us that God's Word always has the potential to produce abundant faith within us, but sometimes the condition of our heart hinders the growth God wants to give to us. Therefore, we tend our heart like a gardener, keeping it soft, clean & fertile so that God's Word is better able to do its work within us. (Based on Mark 4:1-20.)

“I'm a good person,” is a common way people describe themselves, but an honest self-assessment will soon reveal that this statement is not true. The only human hope for goodness is found outside ourselves in Jesus Christ, God's Son and our Saviour. He won the gift of goodness for us through his life, death & resurrection & he applies his goodness to us personally in the waters of Holy Baptism. (Based on Titus 2:11-3:8.)

We humans are greatly influenced by our environment, and when the brokenness inside us connects with the brokenness in the world, it can lead to devastation. Thankfully, God's Word creates faith in our hearts which connects us to Jesus, who saves us and transforms us to become more like him from the inside out. (Based on 2 Timothy 3:1-17.)

Having goals in life can be a good thing, but it is best to hold them loosely, for a self-directed life will always fall short of the life God wants to give us. He invites us to live our life in the world yet live differently from the world. By living in the grace he gives us, we grow into the purpose he has for us, and those around us are blessed as we do that. (Based on 1 Timothy 1:12-2:7.)
