Audio of the Sunday sermons at West Side.
The West Side's Podcast is truly a gem in the podcasting world. As someone who has been attending this church for a short while now, I can confidently say that their online presence is fantastic. The sermons delivered by Jason are not only engaging but also filled with biblical truth that is presented in today's language, making it easy to understand and apply to our lives. The Rest of the Sermon feature allows me to dive deeper into the messages each week, giving me a chance to reflect and grow spiritually. Not only does West Side provide clear biblical direction, but they also put in tremendous effort and quality to reach out to the world outside of their physical church building.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the way in which the sermons are delivered. Jason has a unique preaching style that makes listening to his messages a truly amazing experience. He has a knack for simplifying complex biblical concepts and presenting them in a way that feels relatable and applicable to our everyday lives. This ability to bridge the gap between ancient texts and modern contexts is truly commendable and sets this podcast apart from others.
Another great aspect of The West Side's Podcast is its focus on Jesus. It's evident that everything revolves around him, from the choice of sermon topics to the overall message conveyed by Jason. By keeping Jesus at the center, this podcast brings a fresh perspective on living out our faith and reminds us of what truly matters. This emphasis on Jesus helps listeners build a stronger relationship with him, which ultimately leads to personal growth and transformation.
While there are countless positive aspects about The West Side's Podcast, it's important to acknowledge that no podcast is without its flaws. One area where improvement could be made is in diversifying sermon topics. While biblical truth is undoubtedly important, exploring different themes or addressing specific issues facing modern Christians could bring even more value to listeners' lives. However, this slight limitation does not take away from the overall impact and quality of this podcast.
In conclusion, The West Side's Podcast is a must-listen for anyone seeking biblical truth presented in an engaging and applicable way. Jason's unique preaching style and emphasis on Jesus make this podcast stand out from the rest. It offers a wonderful online church experience that reaches beyond the physical building, allowing individuals to grow spiritually and apply biblical principles to their everyday lives. Whether you're new to Christianity or a seasoned believer, this podcast is sure to leave a lasting impact on your faith journey.

On this episode of The Rest of the Sermon we keep diving into 1 Timothy 2:8-15 and go deeper into what Paul isn't saying, what he is saying, and how we live in light of that. This is a hard text to wrestle with so we HIGHLY encourage you to shoot us an email at info@westsidepb.org, send us a text at (573) 877-7333, call the church, send a facebook message, attach a note to a carrier pigeon, whatever you prefer! And ask those hard questions! We want to walk through this WITH YOU! Don't think just because it's a hard hitting text that we forgot to bring all the banter and silly questions. We've got loads of those plus we really want to know, John Wick or Jason Bourne? And who is your 007?! As we continue with part 2 of Paul's letter to Timothy and these particularly difficult passage, we see that the Church shines brightest when it operates under God's divine order. Big questions require big work and to do this we carefully and prayerfully let scripture interpret scripture. We analyze different viewpoints on what Paul means in this text as well as see what exactly he is and isn't saying. In light of this text we see that 1 Timothy 2 holds us accountable to our view of the scriptures. We ask ourselves do we have the humble boldness to stand against the ever changing culture with the never changing scripture?
On Sunday we started breaking down the difficult text of 1 Timothy 2:8-15. We got to cover the first part of this two part sermon on the podcast and ended up having a great time doing so. We have some great banter, introspective would-you-rathers, and insight to the text that's helpful instead of hurtful. Please send in all your questions from this text, the sermon, and even this podcast! We want to answer all your questions! We pick back up in our Pillars of Truth series as we look at 1 Timothy chapter 2. This scripture can be a tough one so we are taking our time and prayerfully and deliberately moving through this text in two parts. Men and Women are both EQUALLY VITAL in the life of the church and Paul tells us how!
