Brian gleefully becomes a Provincetown convert and extols the virtues of Family Week. Judson shares two recent learnings about language. Together they follow a listener's incredible adventures while traveling on the "Hookup of the Week." The two are then joined by Rabbi Jason Klein, senior rabbi at the largest LGBTQ synagogue in the world, Congregation Beit Simchat Torah in New York City (not to mention Brian's first serious boyfriend over 25 years ago). Rabbi Klein talks about his path to becoming a rabbi, how queer people can reclaim their right to religion, how he experiences dating and the apps, sex as a spiritual practice, and his recent arrest for civil disobedience. He also calls on fellow Jews to be the best Jews they can be and stop what is happening in Gaza, and shares some thoughts on combating despair in the current state of world affairs. Rabbi Klein then joins Brian and Judson in responding to a question from a listener struggling with the adjustment to single life after separating from his husband of seven years. Marriage & Family week 4 looks at the 'God Factor' in marriage. The central theme revolves around Colossians 1:27, reminding us that 'Christ in you' is the hope of glory. This isn't just about knowledge; it's about bringing the unadulterated power of God into our relationships. We're urged to move beyond simply hearing truth to actually embodying it. The message draws striking parallels between our need for forgiveness from God and our call to forgive others, especially our spouses. It's a wake-up call to examine the roots of bitterness in our hearts and to use forgiveness as the shovel to dig them up. This isn't about minimizing hurt, but about elevating what Jesus has done for us. As we reflect on this, we're compelled to ask ourselves: Are we allowing unforgiveness to stunt the growth of our marriages? Are we ready to extend the same grace we've received?
In this message from our summer series on the family, we explore Ephesians 5 and God's high calling for husbands within marriage.
In this message from our summer series on the family, we explore Ephesians 5 and God's high calling for wives within marriage. Far from outdated or oppressive, these biblical duties—Action, Allegiance, Adoration, Authority, and Attitude—reflect a heart fully submitted to the Lord. We unpack the meaning of submission, the importance of respect, and how Christ-centered marriages are built on grace, not willpower. Whether you're married, single, or preparing for marriage, this teaching challenges us to see marriage not just as a relationship, but as worship unto the Lord.

This sermon explores God's original design and commission for the family from Genesis 1. The family is not a man-made construct but a divine institution designed for fruitfulness, multiplication, and cultural dominion. As the enemy seeks to distort and dismantle the family through ideologies, media, and state interference, this sermon calls believers back to God's Word—reminding us of the role of godly marriages and children in advancing the Kingdom.

What does it mean to glorify God with our sexuality? In this message, we go back to the beginning—Genesis 1 and 2—to recover the beauty, purpose, and boundaries of sex, marriage, and gender as designed by our Creator.
The collapse of the family in our culture didn't begin with broken homes—it began with a broken definition of humanity. In this foundational message, we trace the cultural confusion back to the rejection of God as Creator and the biblical truth that mankind is made in His image.

In Mark 3:20-21 & 31-35, we are told that even Jesus' own family didn't understand Him at first. Pastor Isaiah explains how this is comforting when so many of our family and friends may not understand us when we follow Him! Yet, the Good News is that the high cost of following Him leads to the overwhelming reward of being part of the family of God!

This is Week 4 of our series, ALL IN.
It is National Family Week. As I write this warm thoughts column, families have traveled from far and near to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. There is more travel over the Thanksgiving weekend than any other time of the year. How wonderful for families to be together and celebrate the family ties. Every day is a day to celebrate the family. In today's world, there is a concern about the family and their relationships. Peter Marshall once wrote, "We are not willing to risk losing the love in our relationship with our children by persevering with them in matters of discipline, the biggest single cause of the breakdown of the American family is that so much of what we could call love, the Puritans would have another name for...idolatry." Unlike most modern parents, the Puritans knew that their children did not belong to them. They belonged to God. Consequently, they did not possess them. On the contrary, they considered that their children had been entrusted to their care by God. They were to protect them, raise them and teach them, training them up in the way that He would have them go. Parenthood was sacred responsibility. Arnold H Glass once stated, "The family fireside is the best of schools. Families that are built on love, respect and togetherness, instead of social climbing or the pursuit of successful careers. Our nation's hope for survival. Every joy shared adds more love. Every crisis faced together makes the family stronger."Think about it, how do strong families provide stability for a nation? Your kindness influences your children, your humor influences your home, your joy influences your actions, your service influences your society. A nation is only as strong as its families. God made us a family. We need one another, we love one another, we forgive one another, we work together, we play together, we worship together together. We use God's Word together. We grow in Christ together. We love all men together. We serve our God together. We hope for heaven. An unknown writer once stated that, "A happy family is an early heaven." Thank God for our loving and caring, strong families throughout the world. Have a joy filled holiday season! Warm Thoughts from the Little Home on the Prairie Over a Cup of Tea by Dr. Luetta G. Life can become complicated and one of the greatest gifts we can give our families is learning when to say so we can say yes. We see in Acts how the church grows and changes over a relatively short time and how the disciples intentionally decide what other people can do so they can focus on the things that only they can do. When we identify the things in our lives that only we can do we learn where our most important yeses are.
Whatever family you come from we all need a seat at the table. Chairs may seem mundane and ordinary, but if you are invited to sit at the table - they become a significant form of acceptance. The definition of family is having a seat with them. In the book of Matthew, we see Jesus model this for us. We are all a part of God's family and God has a seat for us with Him. Who in your life needs a seat next to you?
Paul wrote letters to churches to encourage and help in their struggles. This week we read through Philippians 2:1-4 and explored the ways a church is like a family and how we can put the ideas Paul shares into practice. When we find ourselves existing in different types of tension within our families, how can we refocus our energy on valuing others despite our differences?

But then they are assigned a live-in Chinese 'relative' by the authorities - Auntie Wang Shu - who comes to stay in their apartment as part of a Family Week initiative to ensure lifestyle conformity: "Cook together, eat together, study together, travel together, sleep together!"But Wang Shu has other motives, which involve marrying her son to a Uyghur woman. And she has Nur in her sights as a prime candidate. Any missteps by Nur or Meryem could result in their being sent into re-education.
