In Silence is a short film about one Muslim American woman’s journey with pre-marital sex and the internal struggles of that decision.  In the aftermath of her first night with Adam Layal encounters awkward conversations about sex in Islam and deals with the reality of her decisions within her community. She eventually runs into her lover and struggles with figuring out her boundaries in a relationship and what this means for her and her faith. Finally, Layal faces news that could change her life. The filmaker, Ruba had a goal to change the narrative, be a beacon of inspiration for Saudi artists and show the humanity of the Muslim community. We all have the power to make a difference within our communities and the best way to do that is to address issues we never want to discuss. By making In Silence, a subject is tackled from a Muslim point of view that many will not approve of but that is why it must be done. We can never move forward if we do not address the elephants in the room. One of the biggest issues we avoid is sex and this film brings this subject to life.  Mon 6/4 at 1:00pmET/10:00amPT or anytime in the archives.   Thanks to our sponsors Safety Bags, Inc., StadiumBags.com and Traci's Healthy Habits - email tracishealthyhabits@gmail.com.  Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google+.  Email Traci at traci.womradio@gmail.com for information on how to become a guest or sponsor!
