What if becoming more successful isn't about doing more, but about finally deciding what you're ready to stop doing? After 20 years of entrepreneurship, I've learned that some of my biggest shifts have come from letting go of the habits, beliefs, and rules I once thought were essential for success. In this episode, I'm sharing 10 lessons I've learned about self-leadership, managing your mind, protecting your energy, overcoming perfectionism, trusting yourself, and identifying which goals are actually worth pursuing. I'll help you look at the rules you've been following and decide whether they're truly serving the woman and entrepreneur you're becoming.
Send us Fan MailWhat if AI didn't have to mean doing more—but could actually help you do less?In this episode of The Good Enough Mompreneur Podcast, I'm talking with Ashley Gross, Founder and CEO of AI Workforce Alliance, about how mom entrepreneurs can use AI as a partner to reclaim their time, reduce mental load, and create more space for the work—and people—that matter most. And if you don't consider yourself "techy," this conversation is especially for you.Ashley wasn't always an AI expert. In fact, she shares how becoming a mom and unexpectedly facing life without maternity leave pushed her to look for a better way to work. That search eventually led her to AI and a completely different approach to building systems in both business and life.We talk about moving beyond the all-or-nothing conversation around AI and instead asking a much more useful question: Where could AI make my life easier?Ashley shares practical examples you can start thinking about right away—from triaging your inbox and organizing your calendar to automating client onboarding, reducing family mental load, planning activities with your kids, and even making those never-ending family to-do lists easier to manage. In this episode, you'll learn:✨ Why you don't need to be "technical" to start using AI✨ How to identify repetitive and mentally draining tasks that could be automated✨ Practical ways to use AI for your inbox, calendar, client onboarding, and weekly planning✨ How Ashley uses AI in motherhood and family life—not just business✨ Why AI should amplify what's already working instead of trying to fix a broken process✨ How automation can reduce the cognitive load so many moms carry✨ Why Ashley doesn't believe AI will eliminate the need for humans—and where the human experience still matters✨ How to stop chasing every new AI tool and instead build a tech stack around the problems you actually need to solveOne of my favorite reminders from this conversation is that we don't get a medal for doing everything the hard way.AI doesn't have to replace your creativity, expertise, intuition, or relationships. Used intentionally, it can simply become another tool that helps you spend less time on the repetitive work and more time being the business owner—and mom—you want to be.About Ashley GrossAshley Gross is the Founder and CEO of AI Workforce Alliance, where she helps businesses identify where and how to implement AI into their workflows so technology strengthens human capabilities rather than replacing them.Ashley is also the author of The AI Work Week and shares resources and education to help people approach AI in practical, strategic ways.Connect with Ashley:Find Ashley on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/theashleygross/Visit theashleygross.com for Ashley's resources, newsletter, and more information about her work.https://www.aiworkforcealliance.com/https://www.aiworkforceacademy.io/https://www.instagram.com/theashleygross/The AI Work Week is available for pre-order and, as Ashley shares in this episode, is scheduled to be available at Barnes & Noble beginning September 9.If this episode helped you think differently about AI, share it with another mom entrepreneur who feels like she's carrying way too much. And don't forget to follow The Good Enough Mompreneur Podcast so you don't miss the next conversation!

Are you carrying guilt because you feel like you're not giving enough to your family or your business? I want to remind you that the guilt may be real, but it doesn't mean it's telling you the truth. In this episode, I talk about misplaced guilt, navigating seasons of motherhood and business, and giving yourself permission to focus your energy where it's needed most. I also share why finding a community of women who truly understand your experience can be more powerful than any other productivity strategy. You don't have to sacrifice one dream for another. Listen to learn how to create more harmony, clarity, and confidence as you navigate both motherhood and entrepreneurship.
Send us Fan MailWhat does it really take to build a successful product-based business with family—and grow it without losing sight of why you started? In this episode of The Good Enough Mompreneur Podcast, I'm joined by Sara and Vinnie Cann, the mother-daughter co-founders of Birdie's Batch, a family-run food business built around locally sourced ingredients, seasonal products, family recipes, and a whole lot of heart.Sara and Vinnie started Birdie's Batch in 2020 after Sara was laid off from her career in the restaurant industry. What began as an opportunity to sell homemade products at local farmers markets grew into a loyal community, an online business, award-winning marmalades, and national recognition—including a feature in The New York Times that increased their sales by 264%.But what I especially loved about this conversation is that their story isn't simply about growing a business. It's about figuring out what kind of business—and life—you actually want to build. We talk about working together as mother and daughter, listening to your customers, overcoming the challenges of shipping food products, using storytelling to differentiate your brand, navigating motherhood while running a business, and why sustainable growth doesn't always mean doing more.Sara also opens up about how a major health challenge changed her relationship with work and helped her redefine success. Instead of continuing to push toward bigger numbers and a seven-day workweek, she began creating a business model that better supported her health, motherhood, and life.In this episode, we talk about:✨ Turning family recipes into a product-based business✨ Starting a food business from home without a huge investment✨ Building a loyal customer base through farmers markets✨ Listening to your customers to discover new products and opportunities✨ Making a mother-daughter business partnership work✨ Treating failures as data instead of reasons to quit✨ Building around your actual capacity as a mom and entrepreneur✨ Overcoming shipping and fulfillment challenges✨ What happened when The New York Times featured Birdie's Batch✨ Using storytelling and community to build customer loyalty✨ Why business growth doesn't always mean doing more✨ Redefining success and creating a more sustainable business✨ Starting before you have the perfect planOne of my favorite reminders from this conversation is that growth doesn't necessarily mean doing more. Sometimes growth means figuring out what's already working, getting better at it, and letting go of what no longer supports the business or life you're trying to create. If you're a mom entrepreneur building a product-based business—or you've been sitting on an idea because you don't have everything figured out yet—I think you'll walk away from this conversation feeling encouraged to start where you are, stay flexible, and build success on your own terms.CONNECT WITH SARA, VINNIE & BIRDIE'S BATCHWebsite: https://birdiesbatch.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/birdiesbatch/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/birdiesbatch/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@birdiesbatchLinkedIn – Sara Cann: https://www.linkedin.com/in/sara-cann-b785a21a/KEEP THE CONVERSATION GOING WITH ANGELAVisit https://mombusinesscoach.com for more episodes, resources, and ways to work with me as you build a business that supports your goals, your family, and the season of life you're actually in.REFLECTION QUESTIONWhere in your business are you assuming growth means doing more—and what might change if you focused instead on doing what already works better? If this episode encouraged you, follow The Good Enough Mompreneur Podcast, share it with another mom entrepreneur, and leave a rating or review. It helps more women find these conversations and reminds all of us that we don't have to build our businesses the way everyone else tells us we should.
A couple months ago someone asked me when I was going to get a "real job" now that my kids are all in public school.Dearest gentle reader, it drove me nuts.Because just because this isn't a traditional nine to five does NOT mean it isn't a job. And if your business has ever been called a hobby, or shrunk down to something cutesy... this is for you.In this episode I'm getting into why I stopped using the word mompreneur (yep, this show used to be Mompreneur Mastery, so it goes deep), why I refuse to pretend the caregiving load moms carry isn't real, and why a traditional 9 to 5 just doesn't work for so many of us... especially anyone caring for disabled, chronically ill, or medically complex kids.Your part-time business is still a real business, and I need you to know that. And if caring for everyone else means your own content keeps landing at the bottom of the list... same. What if I told you the next generation of CEOs, innovators, and world-changers isn't sitting in a college lecture hall right now? They are actually in elementary and middle schools, waiting for the chance to prove what they're capable of. Today's guest believes that when we trust children with responsibility and provide them with the right community, they don't just participate—they rise.Leah Ellis is a mother of four and the founder of The Society of Child Entrepreneurs (SoCE), a nonprofit dedicated to helping children ages 6–17 build confidence, leadership, and real-world business skills through hands-on learning. Inspired by watching her own children turn everyday ideas into action, Leah created SoCE to prove that children are capable of meaningful leadership right now. Through business fairs, curriculum, and coaching, she helps children launch real ventures, learn financial literacy, and develop resilience through experience, not theory. At the heart of her work is the belief that when kids are trusted with responsibility and supported by community, they rise. Leah's leadership is rooted in motherhood, creativity, and a commitment to building spaces where children and families can thrive.CONTACT DETAILS Email: leah@societyofchildentrepreneurs.org Business: The Society of Child EntrepreneursWebsite: https://societyofchildentrepreneurs.org/ Remember to SUBSCRIBE so you don't miss "Information That You Can Use." Grief To PurposeThree pregnancy losses. A stage four ovarian cancer diagnosis. A pandemic shutdown. Then a miracle pregnancy that ends with Niki becoming a new mom while her own mother enters hospice. If you've ever felt your life split into before and after, this conversation will feel familiar in the deepest way. Niki DeConcini joins us with a story about grief, faith, and rebuilding when your body, your plans, and your sense of safety all change at once.We talk about what motherhood means long before a baby arrives, and why miscarriage grief can be both invisible and identity-shaping. Niki shares the reality of postpartum while caregiving, the loneliness of being the “strong one,” and how trauma shows up in the nervous system. We also dig into holistic wellness and integrative healing, not as a cure-all, but as a way to reclaim agency, support quality of life, and come back to yourself when everything feels raw. From there, Niki takes us into the entrepreneurship journey: leaving a stable marketing career she loved, building a fast-growing agency that looked successful on paper, then realizing her body and spirit were paying the price. She explains how inner work, subconscious reprogramming, NLP, and learning to trust intuition helped her pivot toward true alignment. That pivot becomes Female Founders Twin Cities, a Minnesota community for women entrepreneurs focused on building businesses from the inside out, with real connection instead of performative networking. If you're navigating grief, caregiver burnout, a fertility journey, or a business pivot, press play and stay with us to the end. Send us Fan MailWhat if burnout wasn't the end of your story—but the beginning of a more aligned one?As moms and entrepreneurs, we're often praised for doing more, pushing harder, and sacrificing ourselves for everyone else. When you think about a paperless business, does this sound like a dream come true, or do you view it more as a nightmare? There are many businesses that don't even offer a paper receipt anymore. So, when you don't have a receipt, how are you supposed to even manage it? My clients will ask me about the best way to manage their receipts, and unfortunately, my answer is normally: It depends. I know this isn't a good answer, and it surely isn't what the client wants to hear, but the main reason for the unclear answer really is because every business is unique, and every business owner is unique. I always talk to my clients to see what the best option is for them. I want to make sure the option they select is something they are able to do, and they are consistent. Your overall goal when setting up a system to manage your receipts should be to make it as simple as possible while developing a system where you will be able to find your receipts when needed. Today, I am going to talk about the best ways to manage your receipts using paper and paperless options. If you feel like this is an area in your business where you struggle to have a good system in place, or if you already have a system in place, but wonder if there is an easier way to manage your receipts, you definitely want to listen in. This episode will be helpful for you whether you are just starting your small business, you're a solopreneur, entrepreneur, small business owner, virtual online bookkeeper, or virtual assistant. Every business has receipts they need to manage, and after this episode, you will be able to decide which system will work best for you to be able to locate your receipts easily when you need to… Join us in a community built specifically for accountants and high-stress professionals. Kate Assaraf built DIP into a seven-figure haircare brand with forty thousand dollars from her kitchen table, with no Amazon, no investors, and no paid influencers. Her case is that the standard playbook most founders are handed is a trap, and the money you supposedly leave on the table by skipping Amazon is money you keep circulating with your own customers and retailers instead. I brought her the strongest objections any founder would raise, and she answered every one of them with receipts.

What if the "big decision" you're losing sleep over isn't actually the one that changes your life? Sometimes it feels like every choice is a "forever" decision... a high stakes game of choosing what's behind Door #1 or Door #2. But instead of stressing, overanalyzing, and freezing... what if we could tether ourselves to the reality that life isn't built on the "big choices." It's the daily micro-decisions that run the show. I'm pulling back the curtain on the move that changed everything for me... from a scary "burning it all down" moment to getting a corporate-funded relocation that was more than I even dared to ask for. Let go of the pressure to be perfect and see how sometimes taking one step forward is the ultimate answer. Push play to start trusting your alignment and become the kind of Money Making Mom who makes daily decisions that move the needle. PS. You are the creator of your life... start calling in the exact things you desire
This week's episode is a different kind of one: a very open and honest letter to my postpartum self. I've been sitting on this episode for months, pulling back the curtain on the lowest-revenue year of my business (around $100K less in 2025 than the year before), the identity crisis nobody warned me about, and how I rebuilt my business to be *even better* than it was pre baby. But this episode isn't just for moms. It's about what happens to your motivation, your confidence, and your sense of self when life rips your old schedule out of your hands and what it actually takes to rebuild, on your own terms, without forcing yourself back into who you used to be.In this episode, we talk about:Why "drop the timelines" is the first thing I'd tell my past self, and why healing, rebuilding, or finding your footing again has no deadline, no matter what month 3, 6, or 12 says you should feel likeThe sneaky way shame shows up for high achievers and how it's different from guilt, told through a Brené Brown lesson that changed how I saw my entire postpartum yearWhy comparing yourself to people who aren't in the same season as you (different support, different circumstances, different everything) is setting yourself up to feel like you're failing on purposeThe real difference between losing your motivation and having it redirected, and why "I have no ideas anymore" might actually mean your bandwidth went somewhere else entirelyWhy having a personal-growth heavy brand doesn't mean you're not allowed to struggle, and the imposter syndrome that comes with teaching mindset work while losing your ownThe capability vs. character framework from therapy that explains why even the most confident people can feel like they've lost themselves completelyWhy I stopped asking "what's realistic" and started asking "what do I actually want," and how that shift is what got my business having solid recurring revenue through 2027The belief I didn't even know I had and what it took to unlearn itWhy "the story you need to be on camera and posting constantly to sell" is a story I made up, and how I built a business that doesn't run on that anymorePop this episode on when you're in a season that feels too permanent to get out of: postpartum, burnout, or just feeling like a stranger in your own life. If your income vanished tomorrow, would you intentionally recreate the life you're living right now? That's not just a thought experiment... it's the ultimate test of your self-sovereignty. Too many high-achieving moms are stuck in the "rat race" of circumstance, trading their most precious asset - time - for a version of success that doesn't actually make them feel alive. That's why I'm taking you back to the moment the rug was pulled out from under me, and I had to decide: keep chasing a career, or build my own brand of Money Making Magic that actually funds my freedom. We are crushing the "this or that" lie. You don't have to choose between financial abundance and fulfillment. You get to choose both. Push play, let's recalibrate, and let's design a reality you are obsessed with waking up to. PS. Let's align your inner world with the life you truly want
Fulfilled And LimitlessA bright blazer turns into a big conversation about identity, ambition, motherhood, and what success is supposed to feel like. I sit down with Christy Cassette, a corporate finance transformation leader and executive coach, and we get honest about the hidden weight so many women carry: leading at work while also managing the mental load at home, often without the support men routinely receive. If you're wrestling with burnout, confidence, or that quiet feeling that you've outgrown your current season, this one will land.We talk about designing a values-driven life instead of living by someone else's definition of success, plus the practical systems that make “balance” possible: hiring help, planning content a month ahead, setting boundaries, and treating career moves like a mutual fit rather than a permission slip you're begging for. Christy also shares how prayer and discernment shape her decisions, why rejection can be redirection, and what it looks like to keep walking toward a calling before you know exactly how it will unfold. Then the conversation goes deeper. Christy opens up about learning in utero that her son has Down syndrome, the intense pressure she faced to abort, and how her family's story rewired her views on purpose, performance, and what a “fulfilled life” actually means. Expect candid stories, mindset shifts you can apply today, and encouragement that doesn't sugarcoat the hard parts. If this resonated, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs a lift, and leave a review so more women can find these conversations.Connect with Christi:Contact the Host, Kelly Kirk:Email: info.ryh7@gmail.comGet Connected/Follow:The Hue Drop Newsletter: Subscribe HereIG: @ryh_pod & @thekelly.tanke.kirkFacebook: Reclaiming Your Hue Facebook PageCAKES Affiliate Link: KELLYKIRKCredits:Editor: Joseph KirkMusic: Kristofer Tanke Thanks for listening & cheers to Reclaiming Your Hue!

Send us Fan MailWhat happens when your business, motherhood, and responsibilities continue to grow… but your inner capacity feels stretched thin?In this deeply honest and powerful conversation, I welcome mindset and entrepreneur coach Coach Clem to The Good Enough Mompreneur Podcast to talk about the hidden emotional weight so many women silently carry while trying to “hold it all together.”Coach Clem, a UK-based mindset coach originally from France, has supported hundreds of women — many of them mompreneurs — through growth, transition, burnout, overwhelm, and the internal pressure that often goes unseen. Together, Angela and Clem explore the importance of inner stability, why awareness alone isn't enough to create change, and how many of the behaviors we label as “self-sabotage” are actually intelligent protection patterns formed over time. This conversation is a reminder that you do not have to build your business from survival mode — and that sustainable success begins within. In this episode, we discuss: Why ambitious women often feel overwhelmed even when life looks successful The invisible expectations placed on moms and entrepreneurs How social media fuels the “not enough” feeling Reframing self-sabotage as intelligent protection The connection between perfectionism, people pleasing, and burnout The three life seasons: growth, realignment, and survival Why awareness alone doesn't create lasting transformation How to begin building inner stability in everyday life The importance of alignment in motherhood, business, and personal growth Why this inner work matters not just for us — but for our children, too Memorable Moments from the Episode:✨ “You do not have to prove your worth through exhaustion.”✨ “A strength taken too far can become self-sabotage.”✨ “You can build success from alignment instead of survival mode.”✨ “Inner stability is not a luxury — it's a foundation.”Connect with Coach Clem:
Text a question to Victoria!“The brands winning right now are not necessarily the brands with the most experience. They are often the brands creating the clearest emotional connection and the strongest sense of trust.”Have you ever felt a disconnect between your work and your brand? Or have you felt discouraged by founders with less credentials booking clients you've only dreamed of working with? In this short, yet impactful episode, Victoria defines "The Perception Gap" and how you can close it to ensure every aspect of your business represents the high-quality experience you give your clients.Victoria explains how the modern buying behavior has shifted, the impact AI could have on trust, and ways to reduce friction with potential clients. This is the education and pep talk combination so many founders need to hear right now—at a time when the internet is the loudest it's ever been. Procrastination doesn't just cost you time, it creates an energy that actually blocks money. When we delay for tomorrow what can be done today, we are setting our minds to believe we are the kind of people who don't keep promises to ourselves, which directly impacts our income flow. When you have the catalyst to shift you out of self created chaos and into a state of aligned follow through, you can feel accomplished and truly productive. By reverse engineering into the feeling of being ahead, you activate the version of yourself who is highly successful and ready to receive abundance. Push play to stop the productivity illusion... and start allowing time to be the asset that fuels your money making legacy. PS. Take the TIME TURNER QUIZ to start managing your time in a magical new way.
