Last week we focused on Gender Identity in the Era of Peace. This week we focus on Gender Roles. I recall seeing the Wonder Woman movie that came out in 2017. Diana, the Amazonian Princess raised on an isolated island of all female warriors, was not conditioned to any of the beliefs we hold about females. Her knowledge of men came from what she had read in books. I was delighted to watch how she moved through our cultures as if she were an alien from another planet. Our gender-informed structures just did not apply. They were not relevant to her soul mission, and in fact, they would have hindered her effectiveness if she allowed them to. Can you imagine releasing your gender-informed programming that has inhibited you from being all of who you were created to be and doing all that you were created to do? Imagine an opportunity to live in an Era of Peace and Unconditional Love, where we are not defined by collective ego-based systems, but we are completely unburdened, unconstrained - where we know ourselves as beings of Light and we live it - because it is what is! Imagine looking back at your life and saying, "I can't believe I ever accepted those old ideas or lived that way. I'm so grateful for this freedom!" Listen to today's Meditation & Healing Circle to let go of old ideas, judgments, and wounds of the past, to release the old belief systems, and to open to the reality of the new era. The future is Unconditional Love. The Meditation & Healing Circle is live every Sunday at 10am US ET / 7am US PT. You're welcome to join us. If you join live, you can stay on after the meditation for Q&A, support and discussion. http://JoyfullyLivingWellness.com/the-community-calls http://CommunityforConsciousLiving.com

It's episode 124...and I will fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. Wonder Woman (2017) tells the origin story of Diana Prince, Amazonian Princess of Themyscira and superhero also known as (unsurprisingly) Wonder Woman. When a super spy from some Great War lands on her shores she's sure she can stop the fighting simply by killing her nemesis Ares - but has she underestimated the cruelty of man? We round off 2017 with a female-led cinematic success story, address the clanging World War One-shaped elephant in the DC Comics-shaped room and wonder if it's wise to teach your enemy about their greatest power. All this as we finally cover a superhero film on the podcast. It only took 124 episodes! All of which leads to one question...how would you survive? Whatever happens, one thing's for sure: I can not stand by while innocent lives are lost! Another classic film solved by the best movie podcast in the world. Scarlet Ember and Sunshine Bubbles reunite this week to kick off the inaugural edition of the Geekdown Book Club, as Jordan looks at Aimee Bender's 2011 novel The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake, and Caitlin checks out the always batshit Grant Morrison's retelling of Wonder Woman's origins in the Earth One graphic novel. Did Jordan develop a palate for Bender's sweet and sour novel? Did the bondage-heavy take on the Amazonian Princess make Caitlin throw her tablet out a window? We shall see. Also, Steven Universe is back, The Magnificent Seven ride again, DC can't stop fucking up and much more. Also, Caitlin debriefs us on her trip to the happiest place on earth.
In case you didn't hear, we are no longer getting a Superman/Batman movies. DC Comics and Warner Brothers blew fanboys minds when they announced that we will also be getting the first big screen appearance of a certain Amazonian Princess, as well. Which leads to more questions than answers. What can we expect for a plot? How will this affect the anticipated Justice League movie? Will the television shows that DC is producing be brought into the fold? Join us as we explore these topics, discuss the various stages of our Batfleck related grief/nerd-rage, overcome various technical difficulties & over analyze the lyrics of some truly god-awful Christmas carols.
