Chris Rosenthall and Kevin Brown welcome Chaos longpole Troy Reh to the show to break down Carolina's upset win over Boston in San Diego and how they were able to turn it around from a lopsided loss against the Whips. Reh shares the story behind growing out his hair at UAlbany and being an undersized recruit with a twin brother. Rosie and Kevin then analyze the rest of the Week 5 action: how impressive the Outlaws' three-game win streak is, some worries for the Archers and Redwoods, react to the all-star selections and dish out a few midseason individual accolades before heading into an all-star break of their own.
Today, we're stepping into the world of BDSM...We're joined by the brilliant Sherry Lever, who is known professionally as Mistress Sofia. She is a 74-year-old grandmother who just so happens to be Britain's oldest professional dominatrix. From the outside, the world of BDSM might seem intimidating… and we certainly had a lot to learn. But Sherry breaks down the myths for us, highlighting the importance of communication, consent and boundaries within her work, to reveal the more emotional side of being a dominatrix. She even introduced us to a very different kind of CBT (and it's not the type your therapist offers...)As self-confessed members of the vanilla population, we came away from this conversation with our eyes opened and our assumptions challenged - we hope you find it as fascinating as we did!Follow @sherry_lever_ on Instagram You can read more about Sherry's work at www.mistress-sofia.co.uk Sherry's book From “The Mrs” to Dominatrix - is available now digitally and as an audiobookIf you'd like to get in touch you can email us on shouldideletethatpod@gmail.com JOIN US FOR OUR BIGGEST LIVE SHOW EVER! This week, Tatton and Diane discuss the Labour MPs currently rebelling against the Welfare Reform Bill, the government's ban on Palestine Action, and they also explain government debt. Who we are Simple Politics does things differently. We exist to help you have better conversations about the issues and the changes that matter. We do so by being clear, accurate and impartial. Also, light-hearted, engaging and occasionally (but not as often as we think) amusing. It's not just about understanding the facts and the topics themselves but also looking at why different people hold the opinions they do. Those with whom you disagree aren't monsters. Understanding and respect are at the core of everything we do. Our core offering will always be free. Unfortunately, giving things away for free isn't a great business model. We've never been business people. But. We do need to make this work. We do so through our amazing supporters, who keep us going by buying stuff in our shop and making monthly donations. God's Word for Today18 June, 20253 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the back of fools.-Prov 26:3 ESV GODLY DISCIPLINE IS NOT FOR THE FOOLS The "fool" here, as always referred on the book of Proverbs, is a person who ignores godly wisdom (Prov1:7) He is unlikely to respond to reason. Thus, he will suffer in the end as a consequence (2 Pet 2:12; Jude 1:10). Whips and bridles are tools used to train and control animals, are they not? If donkeys and horses were rational beings, and we could talk with them, no such painful physical measures of discipline would be necessary. The point here is not so much about the best way to train livestock. Instead, the meaning is that unreasoning animals receive brute-force corrections. The point being made here is that those who won't listen to godly advice are forced to learn through pain and suffering.Sadly, those who ignore God's revealed truth are described as "fools." (Psa 14:1). Such persons reject reason when interpreting the design of nature. They are not persuaded by Scriptures, that God exists and is revealed through Jesus Christ. Therefore, they pursue paths away from God, where eternal punishment lies ahead. He may be intellectual and brilliant in this world. But, if he refuses God's reason and revelation, he is a fool bound for eternal misery. What does this mean for us today? Firstly, let us check our hearts. Let us not be a fool before God. Secondly, let us be discerning in dealing with people. We should not expect so much from people who don't value spiritual things.Watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/lPuuvKVODmgListen and FOLLOW us on our podcast Spotify: http://bit.ly/glccfil_spotify Apple Podcast: http://bit.ly/glccfil-applepcast Audible Podcast: http://bit.ly/glccfil-audibleFollow us on various media platforms: https://gospellightfilipino.contactin.bio#gospellightfilipino#godswordfortoday

You wait ages for a post-Brexit trade deal – and then three show up at once. With the Government unveiling new agreements with India, the US and the EU, we explore why Parliament has so little influence over these major international agreements. Liam Byrne MP, a former Labour Minister and current chair of the House of Commons Business and Trade Committee argues that this needs to change.___ Please help us improve Parliament Matters by completing our Listener Survey. It will only take a few minutes.Go to: https://podcastsurvey.typeform.com/to/QxigqshS___ According to Byrne, Parliament should make its voice heard much earlier in the process – before negotiations even begin. He wants a greater role for select committees to examine the details of deals as they develop and insists that MPs must be given the chance for a meaningful debate before any final agreement is approved. Without these changes, Parliament risks being reduced to little more than a rubber stamp. Meanwhile, a call to find 10% in savings from the House of Commons budget over the next three years – reportedly around £54 million - raises pressing questions. Could cost-cutting measures strip away the very support systems that allow MPs to scrutinise laws and hold the Government to account? And as proposals circulate for “call lists” to tell MPs when they'll be able to speak in debates, Ruth and Mark ask: could this mechanised approach undermine the spontaneity—and the substance—of Commons exchanges? And farewell to Sir Roy Stone, who for 20 years was the lynchpin of Commons business, as Private Secretary to a succession of Chief Whips. Following his death earlier this month, we reflect on the legacy of the man who embodied the fabled “Usual Channels” — the behind-the-scenes negotiations that keep the legislative and scrutiny work of the House of Commons on track. Respected across party lines, he was the subject of a rare tribute session in the Commons, and Ruth and Mark discuss why he commanded such respect from hard-bitten Whips and Ministers.

One Distillery, Two Time Zones, and Corsets and Whips, Oh My! Husband-and-wife team BIll and Johanna Welter came to whiskey through very different paths - thankfully, their union has produced not one, but two distilleries from which Journeyman's whiskies and spirits spring forth. Bill's passion for golf led him to St. Andrews, Scotland; Johanna's path led through hospitality, drinking whiskey at a time when "most women were drinking cosmos". Somehow, Journeyman is still an under-the-radar distillery, albeit one with two locations (in Three Oaks, Michigan and Valparaiso, Indiana). For those in the know, they're producing some of the best wheat and wheated whiskey in the country, and for this episode I got to try their high-rye cask strength bourbon which, for my mind, might be even better than their wheaters. And to be clear, their wheated products are exempt from my recent distaste for wheaters...they are complete whiskies, whether one grain or multiple, and remain some of the few I'd have on my shelf. Journeyman also holds distinction as a long-tenured distillery in the craft scene, launched in 2011 during the end of the first wave or beginning of the second (Bill wasn't quite sure, so we'll hedge!). They've turned that presence into their own formal and informal mentorship programs, lending help and knowledge to a new generation of distillers. We also touch on the impact of recent tariffs and their Ingrained program, opening up contract distilling to producers without their own capacity in Journeyman's new 140,000 square foot Valparaiso location. Jesus has two temple clearings in the Gospels. John 2:13-17 (earlier in His ministry) and Mark 21:12-14 - Jesus went straight to the Temple and threw out everyone who had set up shop, buying and selling. He kicked over the tables of loan sharks and the stalls of dove merchants. He quoted this text:My house was designated a house of prayer; You have made it a hangout for thieves. Now there was room for the blind and crippled to get in. They came to Jesus and he healed them.So how do we create an atmosphere that's welcoming to others.

This pod is an outlet to vent after watching Real Housewives of Atlanta where Brit seemingly faced no network consequences for trying to intimidate and/or threaten a cast member by talking about having a weapon - and then watching a ridiculous ending to a slow paced, multi-season Yellowstone prequel. Kenya absolutely went too far, however it was odd to not see swift action to check a cast member for bringing up weapons at all, and that Kenya's prepared remarks and displays were a complete surprise to producers. Then, I loosely summarize the plot of Yellowstone 1923, a show whose last bundle of episodes were riddled with extreme violence towards its women characters. My rant on the show focuses on writer/creator Taylor Sheridan's choice to continue that trend and end the series with a grand display of senseless loss felt less like an attempt to relay life's harsh realities and more like emphatic overkill. Yellowstone 1923 rant starts at 28:46 and is FULL OF SPOILERSAll opinions are personal and not representative of any outside company, person, or agenda.
