Erik and Bob take your computer questions.  App used in Iowa Caucuses was sent out through a beta testing platform.  U.S. lawmakers propose a new, nationwide electric vehicle charging network.  A listener has a problem with a voice dictation changing the text in e-mail that the sends on his tablet.  A caller asks if it is worth spending extra money on an i7 processor versus an i5 for a new desktop.  Also discussed is whether he should purchase a solid state or traditional hard drive for his new computer.  French government to fine Apple for previous throttling of speed on aging iPhone.  A listener asks what should be in a new house for computer network wiring, and also recommendations for home automation technology such as smart switches.  A new HP laptop user has problems with a  on a blinking screen rand new computer, plus she asks how to erase personal data on the computer should she get a new one.  An Apple iPad user worries about using Apple's iCloud service to back up her data if Apple has access to it.  We also discuss the free and encrypted e-mail service ProtonMail to send mail securely.
