...thatsaplaneticket...Julia Gray (Washington Post, The Ringer) and Drew H. are here to discuss Season 2, Episode 13 of Gossip Girl. This emotionally potent and silly episode has it all: Bart Bass joining the angels in heaven, Blair saying three words/eight letters, ranking Housewives by a fun new metric called "likelihood of New York Times obituary," Kristen Bell's infinite wealth, and Drew's bout of saudade at the Sweat Tour. My last podcast of 2023 is an AMAZING one!The charming and lovely Bobby Burke called in, from NYC to Dublin to talk building patios, being Bart Bass and Ed Tucker in Gossip Girl and SVU, fighting fires, the charm of a Galway kitchen and so much more. It is an honour for me to take up so much of his time for a chat, to hear about how Mariska Hargitay made him her onscreen lover in Law and Order, how 9/11 gave him a second job in honour of his friend and why he has never seen Dublin!I hope you all enjoy, if you do, please rate, share, like, and tell your pals!!Happy Christmas, Nollaig Shona Duit and I love you all!Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/tis-yourself. Today's episode is all about the life and lies of a certain Upper East Side billionaire: the suave and sinister Bart Bass, played by Robert John Burke! Robert joins Jessica to talk about starring on the show while being a volunteer firefighter, having more fun playing the villain, and how IRL he's more like Rufus! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Hosts Hannah Brown (@hannahabrown) and Tyler Meredith (@tylermckmeredith) buckle up for another roller coaster ride of an episode. First off--THE HUMPHREYS NEED HELP. Sneaky old lonely boy is digging for dirt on Bart Bass as a means to get his letter of rec for Yale. And as Dan stoops to conquer, little J is doing her best to make it work with chaotic Agnes, which only could end one way--utter destruction and devastation. Meanwhile in the land of the Upper East Side, it's B's 18th birthday! HBD B! but TBH we weren't feeling her party, and she truly deserves more. Luckily the script writers made all of our Clueless dreams come true by introducing MR. HALL as Eleanor's new boyfriend! And while B is super underwhelmed, we are quite literally overjoyed by this Wallace Shawn sighting. But amidst all this juicy drama, we are forced once again to return to the land of sorcery and riddles by Rumples/Aaron and we have had enough. S spends most of the episode trying to leave every scene she's in and then accepts an offer from Rumples to go to a puppet show in the park. Excuse me--do we want to go to a puppet show with a master of trickery, nonsense and middles (map riddles)?! ITS A HARD NO FROM US. XOXO H & T
Bart Bass throws a brunch and Dan Humphrey throws a punch.

Hello Upper East Siders! Join F & N this week to discuss the lows and lows of Bart Bass's parenting, why Aaron is still the worst, and how Dan manages to become the world's greatest detective. Also, we get our first introduction to Cyrus Rose and Gossip Girl's only healthy relationship. WARNING: there will be spoilers! Follow us on Twitter and Instagram @ggblastcast or email us gossipgirlblastcast@hotmail.com
Wakey Wakey Upper East Siders. This week F and N are back to discuss Eric being straight up savage to everyone, Vanessa doing some hypocritical blackmailing, and the latest revelation - could N8 Archibald be ... POOR?? We also get the return of Cedric and a Gossip Girl first, Bart Bass smiles! WARNING: there will be spoilers! Follow us on Twitter and Instagram @ggblastcast or email us gossipgirlblastcast@hotmail.com
It’s the anniversary of Bart’s Death and SOME people including us and Lily don’t seem to mark the occasion with the gravitas it deserves. Get in touch with us on twitter @gossipgirlpod and you can email us gossipgirlpod@gmail.com. This week’s podcast was edited by Kami Toman who was the only Scottish man in attendance at Bart Bass's funeral.
Wakey wakey, Upper East Podcasters. The tea is served up, ready and piping hot for your drinking pleasure! First up, the Bart Bass will is read, and we find out the eternal question of Who is the Boss? Spoiler: it's not Tony Danza. Will Blair be at Chuck's side, or cast aside by the other Bass? And what of Lily and Rufus? Will their road trip to find their son land them finding something else along the way? Will Dan ever tell Serena? Or will she find out from a secret source? And will Jenny stop stalking Eric and Jonathan? We'll never tell...
Spotted, Andy and Aaron arguing over season 3, episode 12 of The CW's "Gossip Girl," entitled "The Debarted." This week, A+A are joined by writer Elana Goldberg (@edawn2015, elanagoldberg.wordpress.com) to talk about the awful, horrible, no good, very bad Serena and Tripp relationship, the BART GHOST and join in on a steamy Serena/Tripp fanfiction. Andy finally admits that Bart Bass is dead, Aaron fears Andy will become Rufus, Elana defends her love of Lily Bass, and the trio discuss the difficulty of balancing love and work, why Serena doesn't deserve Nate, and try to cast Chuck's Mom. Get in that Empire State of Mind. XOXO.
Spotted, Andy and Aaron arguing over season 2 episode 10 of The CW's seminal series "Gossip Girl," entitled "Bonfire of the Vanity." This week, the fellas welcome former CW employee, self-professed Dan lover, and current country singer Sarah Louie Kegan (@sarahlouiekegan), who worked on GG from season 3 to the end in "Current Programming," focusing on continuity. Whenever Jenny teleports from Manhattan to Brooklyn with no rhyme or reason, we now know who to blame. We also know who to blame for one of the most insightful and Gossip-filled episodes of the show, as S regales us with stories of Ed Westwick, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford and Taylor Momsen from the set and beyond, and telling us who's the nicest. S&A&A also talk Aaron Rose's creepy sex lairs, kissing, homeschooling and the introduction of a fan favorite character: Wallace Shawn's Cyrus! NOT ENOUGH?! The trio also share vomiting stories, compare Bart Bass to Robert Durst, Agnes with the Joker, and wish Serena would put on some pants in this special Blair 18th birthday extravaganza episode. "Screw Grace Kelly. I'm gonna scheme." xoxo, Gossip Guys.
Spotted, Andy and Aaron arguing about The CW's "Gossip Girl" season 2 episode "New Haven Can Wait," with special returning guest Agata (@echo_mint). A&A discuss trying on younger people clothes, the Nate/Dan "friendship," Bart Bass marriage scenarios, whether it's possible to ever trust Jenny and if Serena's "good girl" image is really just a facade. We pick controversial sides in the Blair vs. Serena debate, Andy continues to find reasons to sympathize with Dan and the trio get nostalgic over the college application process. We also attempt to answer a few indelible questions: Why hasn't Rufus started a Waffle truck? Can Jenny be successful without going full on Dark Jenny? Could Gossip Girl ever leave New York? Why does Rufus let Jenny be homeschooled, following Vanessa's horrible example? If Vanessa is a disease, Gossip Guys is the cure. Tune in for some intellectual stimu-Nate-ion. xoxo.
Spotted, Andy and Aaron arguing about The CW's seminal soap opera, "Gossip Girl." This week, A&A discuss the season 2 episode "Chuck in Real Life," and disagree about Nate and Dan's budding relationship (#Nan #Date), Chuck and Vanessa's brief "thing," sibling secrets, family dinners, Blair and Chuck's bet, and whether or not Bart Bass might actually not be an evil tyrant. Dan pretends to be Nate and we pretend to be loving to one another in this "Full House" wholesome episode...that's also oozing sex. Unsurprisingly, Andy takes the Dark Jenny/X-Men/Dark Phoenix parallel too far. Also included: a deleted scene between Eric and Bart, and pitches for a Roaring Twenties spinoff and a Brooklyn Bass spinoff. xoxo.
Episode 2 “Fate. Fate. Fate!” - The gang discuss Six Degrees, the not so brilliant ABC series cancelled twice in nine episodes with cameos from the always awesome “Omar’s coming” and the Bart Bass.
Sheely and Wrather consider the penultimate episode of Gossip Girl. Episode 73: Bart Bass Built This originally appeared on Overthinking It, the site subjecting the popular culture to a level of scrutiny it probably doesn't deserve. [Latest Posts | Podcast (iTunes Link)]
