In this exclusive ROCK ANTENNE inteview, Taylor Momsen breaks down the reality of playing in front of notoriously tough AC/DC crowds, her deep-rooted connection to German rock festivals, and why she refuses to use modern computer production or click tracks in the studio.
Welcome back to The Rizzuto Show, the daily comedy podcast where logic takes a backseat and chaos is riding shotgun. Today's episode kicks off with something we genuinely didn't have on our 2026 bingo card: Joe Exotic officially announcing he's running for president. Yes, the tiger guy. Yes, it's real. And yes, we spend a concerning amount of time debating whether he's actually a viable candidate—or just the most honest one we've ever seen. From there, things somehow get even more ridiculous. We dig into Dave Grohl's “secret” to keeping his voice intact during insane performances, and let's just say… if your doctor recommends whiskey and more whiskey, you might want a second opinion. But hey, if it works for the Foo Fighters, who are we to argue?Of course, no episode of this comedy podcast would be complete without a full round of celebrity chaos. We've got Taylor Momsen dealing with a nightmare spider bite that keeps getting worse (hard pass), Bachelor Nation drama that proves reality TV is still wildly unhinged, and a bizarre mix of entertainment gossip that somehow all connects back to “what is happening anymore?”Then we hit one of the most controversial moments of the show: a “Top 100 Rock Songs of All Time” list that sends the entire room into debate mode. The rankings? Questionable. The arguments? Loud. The conclusions? Nonexistent. Exactly how you want your daily comedy podcast discussions to go.We wrap things up the only way we know how—with random birthdays, historical facts, and a completely unnecessary (but absolutely essential) adult film star shoutout that somehow ties the whole episode together. Or at least… tries to.If you're here for a funny podcast packed with sarcastic humor, weird news, pop culture commentary, and the kind of daily show energy that makes you question everything—you're in the right place. Another week in the books and it seems like we might get into the upper 70's by Sunday! We let you know what's on TV this weekend and what's new in theaters. Also talked about another Fortnite collaboration, and Taylor Momsen getting bit AGAIN while on tour with AC/DC. Had some science stuff on the show today, including a new way to fight fires, another possible weight-loss solution, a warning about Microsoft's A.I., and solar collars to help farmers with their herds. The Pretty Reckless' Taylor Momsen celebrates the upcoming release of the new album 'Dear God,' diving into the creative process behind it and what fans can expect.
Taylor Momsen joins Eddie Trunk to discuss The Pretty Reckless' first album in five years, 'Dear God'. She shares stories from touring with AC/DC and The Rolling Stones, revealing how she's formed close friendships with her rock idols. Taylor opens up about the personal struggles that inspired her new music, particularly the track 'When I Wake Up', which explores themes of excess and recovery. She also talks about finding balance through surprising hobbies like crocheting and boxing, her emotional performance at the Rock Hall honoring Soundgarden, and her excitement about headlining shows with new material after years of supporting other acts. Following that, thrash metal veterans Bobby 'Blitz' Ellsworth of Overkill and Chuck Billy of Testament join Eddie to discuss their tour with Destruction. The old friends reminisce about their decades-long careers, share hilarious road stories including Blitz's infamous 'Airborne tablet' incident, and discuss how they've maintained their vocal abilities over the years. They also provide updates on new music, with Testament promoting their latest album Parabellum and Overkill working on new material. The conversation touches on health challenges both frontmen have overcome, their approach to band management, and their excitement about regaining rights to their classic Atlantic Records catalogs after 35 years. The new Pretty Reckless album, called Dear God, drops on June 26th. She and the band played with AC/DC last April, but before that, it hadn't been since the fateful night of the last Soundgarden show. She discussed opening those major shows worldwide. As we talked, she was in Chile. For I Am Death was released a bit ago, with the latest single called When I Wake Up. As with much of their catalog, it has a real throwback, classic vibe to it. She talks about that song, the album artwork, and a post about her last "confessional", which I, like an idiot, didn't pick up on. Taylor's awesome...her band is awesome...I cannot wait to drop the new album on the turntable!Speaking of turntables, I listened to Rush's 2112 to prepare to speak with author Daniel Bukszpan. His new book is entitled RUSH & 2112: 50 Years. Yes, I could talk Rush all day. Daniel discusses the approach he took when writing a book about one of the most defining Rush albums. He spoke with producers and others to get a feel of what it was like making the iconic album. An album that was a major turning point for the band. For a better look at what this book entails, here's an excerpt from the press release. In the book, Rush fans new and old can expect:• A deep dive into how "2112" came together and why it is regarded as a masterpiece.• Track-by-track analyses of the studio cut as well as insight into the 20-minute “2112” suite and why it works• Historical insight and analysis about the state of rock in the mid-'70s and evolving '80s, and how Rush created and sustained an unforgettable soundWe talked about all of this and much more.. While the show is officially on Christmas holidays, we're going to feature a few episodes from Drew's holiday podcast series Behind the Christmas Hits. Each episode tells the story of a different Christmas song and today he's joined by Taylor Momsen who played Cindy Lou Who in How the Grinch Stole Christmas with Jim Carrey. Taylor later stared in Gossip Girl and fronts the rock band The Pretty Reckless. They have a new Christmas EP out where Taylor duets with her 6-year-old self on the song she first sang in The Grinch. It's a pretty school story - making The Grinch was where Taylor first fell in love with the recording studio. Enjoy!

MUSICRoger Daltrey of The Who is now SIR Roger Daltrey. He was knighted by Prince William at Windsor Castle on Wednesday. It's in recognition of not only his musical achievements, but also his charity work. Here he is on the award, and what his younger self and band would've thought back in the day. https://consequence.net/2025/12/sir-roger-daltrey-knighted/ Sharon Osbourne has given her first interview since the death of her husband Ozzy this past July.Appearing Wednesday on the British TV show Piers Morgan Uncensored, hosted by her longtime friend, she opened up about his health struggles, doing his final show this past July 5th in Birmingham, England, their last conversations and much more. You can watch the show on YouTube, and here are a few excerpts:Sharon Osbourne on the last two weeks of Ozzy's life. OC:...in seven years. :27 [Courtesy of Piers Morgan Uncensored]"He was so happy Piers afterwards. And he kept looking at the papers and he goes to me, 'I never knew so many people like me.' But that was the way he was. I mean, he knew he was famous, but not to the amount that people loved him. It's a whole different thing. And he was just so happy. Happier than we'd seen him in seven years."Sharon Osbourne on dreams Ozzy was having the last week of his life. OC:...he was ready. :26 [Courtesy of Piers Morgan Uncensored]"He was having dreams the last week of his life. He was seeing people that he never knew. I said, 'Well, what kind of people?' He goes, 'All different people. And I just keep walking and walking and I'm seeing all these different people every night. And I go back there and I'm looking at these people and they're looking at me and nobody's talking.' And he he knew. He was ready." Sharon also talked about the first time she and Ozzy met, when they fell in love, how she will never want to get married again, how if she didn't have kids she would have killed herself when he died, and the thing she misses most is holding his hand.On a lighter note, she also talked about how she wanted to get back at Roger Waters for the negative things he said about Ozzy after he died. And that was by sending him a Tiffany box filled with feces, which she used to do to critics who wrote negative reviews about Ozzy's shows without being there. When she did, it was her infant son Jack's poop that would be used. She ultimately decided against it, saying, “Even that is a waste, to send [crap] to him. But there are plenty of other films that spark the same argument, "Is this actually a Christmas movie?" Here are 13 more:1. Every "Harry Potter" movie (2001 - 2011). All the "Potter" flicks . . . with the possible exception of the last one . . . have some kind of yuletide vibe . . . or at least a wintry one.2. "Batman Returns" (1992). One of the big set pieces is the lighting of the Gotham Christmas tree.3. "Eyes Wide Shut" (1999). Even though it was released in July, it takes place over Christmas.4. "Gremlins" (1984). This one has Christmas written all over it. And also little green, murderous demons.5. "First Blood" (1982). The first of the "Rambo" films has a Christmas tree in the background of one scene. So . . . Christmas movie!!!6. "Trading Places" (1983). There's a Christmas party, and Dan Aykroyd as a drunken Santa waving a handgun. But it doesn't end on December 25th. If it's a Christmas movie, then it also qualifies as a New Year's movie.7. "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" (2005). This one takes place during the Christmas season in L.A. And it was released in November.8. "Edward Scissorhands" (1990). Kind of a no-brainer.9. "Lethal Weapon" (1987). Another one of those action movies that HAPPENS to take place around Christmas.10. "Rocky" (1976). This might be the greatest American holiday film of all time, because it includes Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. And also punching.11. "Hook" (1991). The scenes in the real world, outside Neverland, are set at Christmas. 12. "Iron Man 3" (2013). The whole movie plays out around Christmas.13. "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (1993). Hello and Merry Christmas! My guest today is podcast host and the only man who dares enter the Grinch's lair, Tim Babb from the "Can't Wait for Christmas" podcast! Tim and I get together to talk about one of our favorite Christmas movies, 2000's "Dr. Suess' How the Grinch Stole Christmas" starring the brilliantly funny Jim Carrey. We talk about our favorite parts, favorite quotes, memories around the film, and more. We also talk about Taylor Momsen (Cindy Lou Who!), her career post-Grinch, and her delightful new Christmas album, "A Pretty Reckless Christmas." After my chat with Tim, I talk a little bit about how to get through the holidays with your mental health intact, and share a few Christmasy things that have brought me laughter. Don and Dude continue honoring Casey Kasem with another Classic Casey Countdowns visit, this time to November 25, 1978, when disco, rock, and pop intertwined on the American Top 40. This episode highlights two albums behind that week's Top 10 hits, celebrating the sound of a Thanksgiving spent around radios and record players.Chic – C'est Chic (1978) New York studio pros Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards turned Chic into a precision-groove machine on their second LP, fusing disco, funk, and R&B into sleek, minimal arrangements that still feel luxurious. Driven by the monster hit “Le Freak,” the record balances party-starter anthems with emotionally rich cuts like “I Want Your Love,” showcasing airtight rhythm section work, tasteful strings, and a cool, upscale dancefloor vibe.Foreigner – Double Vision (1978) Fresh off their blockbuster debut, Foreigner sharpened their arena-rock formula on Double Vision, pairing Lou Gramm's powerhouse vocals with Mick Jones's riff-heavy guitar lines and radio-ready hooks. From the punchy opener “Hot Blooded” to the grinding title track and moodier deep cuts, the album captures a band refining its identity through tight songwriting, dramatic dynamics, and a polished yet muscular late 70s rock sound.Dude is Diggin':The Pretty Reckless – Taylor Momsen's Pretty Reckless Christmas (2025): A six-track holiday set where Taylor Momsen blends hard rock crunch with nostalgic seasonal moods, highlighted by a powerful new version of “Where Are You Christmas?”.Various Artists – Saturday Night Fever Original Movie Soundtrack (1977) (vinyl): A landmark disco document packed with Bee Gees smashes and club classics, perfectly channeling the sweaty, cinematic pulse of the late 70s dancefloor.Don is Diggin':Magic Wands – Cascades (2025): Dreamy, guitar-and-synth-driven pop steeped in gothic and new wave textures, full of shimmering atmospheres and mystical, nocturnal imagery.Vince Gill – 50 Years From Home: Secondhand Smoke (2025): Reflective country storytelling that blends personal memories with social themes, delivered in Gill's warm tenor and supported by a cast of Nashville collaborators.Follow the show on Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and Bluesky @albumnerds, and support by subscribing, rating, reviewing, and sharing. “Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars.” – Casey Kasem
Send us a textThe Rock Hall came in loud, messy, and unexpectedly moving—and we brought receipts. We open with a mea culpa that doubles as a manifesto: Iron Maiden belongs in the Hall. When you put their global sales, generational influence, and still‑feverish fanbase next to multiple inductees, the picture changes fast. From there we break down the night's sharpest highs and softest misses: Salt‑N‑Pepa's clinic in craft and energy, a Warren Zevon tribute that needed Werewolves of London, and Cyndi Lauper's command of a room that didn't always return the favor. We dig into the White Stripes' legacy with clear eyes: why Feist and Olivia Rodrigo's “We're Going To Be Friends” worked and why making “Seven Nation Army” about yourself doesn't. Jack White's speech lands like a love letter to small rooms and big risks, and we push back on the lazy “Meg can't drum” take—serving the song is a skill. Outkast's segment wrestles with tech issues, but Tyler, the Creator detonates “B.O.B.” and reminds everyone what modern hip‑hop virtuosity looks like. Then Soundgarden turns the room inside out: Taylor Momsen surprises, Toni Cornell devastates on “Fell on Black Days,” and Nancy Wilson powers through more malfunction to honor Chris Cornell's towering range and the band that bridged punk and Sabbath weight. We close by asking better questions of the Hall. What is “rock and roll” in 2025 if not attitude, risk, and reinvention across hip‑hop, punk, metal, pop, and alternative? If next year's first‑timer pool is thin, it's time to right some wrongs: Mariah Carey, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Wu‑Tang Clan, and long‑snubbed pillars like the Pixies, the Replacements, and Black Flag. Along the way, we unpack catalog sales, a smart theory behind the Oasis reunion, and why safe, templated finales shrink big nights. If you love strong opinions backed by facts and lived fandom, hit play. Then tell us who we got right, who we got wrong, and who you'd induct tomorrow. Episode 2295 - Kid A.G. and El Pres dive balls-deep into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction like a pair of horny archivists jizzing over vinyl—raving about Soundgarden's grunge ghosts stealing the show (Jerry Cantrell shreds harder than a cougar on catnip), OutKast and Tyler the Creator dropping beats that make your grandma twerk, and Salt-N-Pepa's Pepa emerging from Ozempic purgatory looking fuckable while Salt bloats like a salted ham hock. They pivot to SNL's stain-splattered sorority skit where some dude nutted mid-mask (Epstein-level evidence, viral gold), winter cucking as animalistic fuck-fests to hibernate your blue balls ("Guys just want to get laid; women want a brawny heater"), and a deranged game show pitch: motorboat your girl's tits, record the brrrraaap, and compete against real speedboats for dinghy-level hilarity. Hooters nostalgia hits like cheap whiskey—back to booty shorts and tank tops that cram thongs up asses tighter than a nun's regret, with tales of double-shifting for post-wing pussy chases and Twin Peaks' lingerie Wednesdays where asses defy gravity like Lizzo on a trampoline. Edgy detours torch Taylor Momsen's lace-slip red-carpet cameltoe ("Sidney Lou Who gone goth-slut"), Jessica Simpson's Botox-bricked face ("Hit with the ugly stick till it snapped"), and concert rip-offs (Morgan Wallen tickets at $1K a pop: "I'd rather blow the blonde goddess than that redneck wallet-raper"). Key quote: "There's still a bullet in the chamber after sex—jack one off like it's 1993 grunge foreplay." Brain-dump brain farts on phones nuking attention spans, Steve Jobs-style black-sock simplicity, and Trump as a percentage-rattling moron ("Cut aid, kill 600K—genius businessman, my ass"). Final words: "Go to Hooters, creep on the daughters of yesterday's titty vets, and chill, bitches—dollar wings await, no ass required." GDS 2295 Quick Recap: Rock Hall Riffs: Soundgarden supremacy, female bass queen tribute, 80s babe bands (Pat Benatar: eternal smoke show). Titty Tales: Hooters revival, motorboat Olympics, Twin Peaks ass worship. Fuck & Chuck: Winter hookups, post-nut laughs, tattoo teases. Rants: Concert gouging, celeb face-fucks, political idiocy lite.

Cassie and Daurie watched the 2002 movie version of Hansel and Gretel, featuring Jacob Smith, Taylor Momsen, Howie Mandel, Alana Austin, Delta Burke, Tom Arnold, and Lynn Redgrave to answer the age old question: does it deserve that 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes? And the verdict is, yes. Yes, it really does. We watched it so you don't have to; all you have to do is listen to our discussion on how this take went so deeply wrong -- from poorly used framing devices to unnecessary character additions to incredibly weak attempts to feel modern and hip that only served to give the movie the shelf life of cottage cheese.
