Behold the ultimate ranking of the best and worst of 101 shows that we, your Donut Crew, watched over the last four and a half years. It all started in January 2015, with three TV obsessed writers (and friends) in the home of one magnificent Hannah Davies and her blessed roommate Beverly, joined most of the time by a doctor of questionable expertise and a German. We thank you all for the over 12000 plays on our channel & hope that you'll revisit some of our older or newer gems you may have missed. With a man named Teaspoon at the helm of the group, how can you not love it? We happily let it take its place as the concluding chapter of the fifth season of TV Donut & maybe even dive deeper into the love story of Lou and the kid

Episode 12 - "What A Wonderful Day It Is Today" On the penultimate episode of Season 5 of TVD we visit our second Aaron Sorkin series, Sports Night. We discuss laugh tracks, caring about sports and how long Josh Charles has been a straight up HOTTIE! Once again Aaron's female characters are disappointing and remarkably similar, but the dialogue is snappy and Felicity Huffman charms in every scene.

Episode 11 - "Ugh, FRANK" The Donut Crew roulette wheel has finally landed on our #1 favourite dysfunctional family, the Gallagher clan of SHAMELESS! This time it’s the American re-imagining of the UK original series but things are as foul and filthy as ever. We are introduced to such classic characters as Bebop, Rocksteady & General Dragon and we couldn't be more elated. At everything. Erik has joined us for some of the worst donut shows, but here at last we were sure we had a winner that he would love. Were we right? WERE WE???

Episode 5 - “This Pilot Is The Most You’ll Ever Like David Brent” Get ready to cringe with the show that launched Ricky Gervais (plus co-creator Stephen Merchant… plus Martin Freeman… plus Steve Carrell, plus everyone involved) to stardom, and created a worldwide mega-franchise, THE OFFICE. A slice of life that cuts very, very close to home for all those 9-5 workbugs out there, or anyone who has ever had to take orders from someone stupider than themselves, the office punches above it’s weight in heart, laughs, and cultural impact. David Brent is the antihero you never knew you wanted until you saw him, at which point he became the antihero you never, ever wanted to meet in real life.

In which we swoon over David Morse & a young Denzel Washington & agree that if you have to yell that you're not being racist, you most definitely being racist. From 1982, this is only our second medical drama on the donut! There's a lot to love in this show about a run-down hospital with more crazy characters than we could count. Did we mention it also stars Ed Begley Jr.?

On the Season 4 Finale of TV Donut we encroach on Clash of the Teen Drama Titans territory with this Superbad knock-off sex comedy that feels like a movie we might have liked in the 80s when we didn't know better. (Shame on US)Piers and Hannah disagree on the music and Saskia just wants this racist, sexist, charmless mess to be over (Shame on MTV). Enjoy!

Lies stack upon lies in this over-the-top farce that sees David Cross playing the ultimate schlub - the world's most frustrating man that still manages to somehow get you on his side. Today's donut may contain inveterate liars, pyramid schemes, toxic masculinity, gross-out gags, energy drink logistics, psychopathic manipulations, and an apartment in Portland full of dead animals.

We let him choose his two favorite episodes of the series, as we'd all seen it before, and ended up watching the penultimate episodes of both Season 5 & 6, "Long Term Parking" & "The Blue Comet", two of the series most heartbreaking. We talk about the ups and downs of the Soprano family & the shows greatest characters and moments. Hope you like it as much as we love the show!

Episode 19 - “Eric Schweig Doesn’t Need a Name” Once again, a roll of the dice brings us back up to the great white north with one of Canada’s better known productions, DUE SOUTH. The surprise hit story of a modern-day Dudley Doright exiled in Chicago, Paul Gross and Paul Haggis made it “cool” to be polite. The Donut Gang sit down to discuss several dozen dead caribou, ghost dads, the clues provided by a person’s nose, 90s TV actors, Canadian stereotypes, Canadian rage, our 13th Prime Minister, wolves, and the mysterious character of Eric Schweig. Episode 17 - "The Dead Man Has No Future. Because he’s Dead." That's just a title! We're kind of divided on this one, but all agree that Steve Coogan is worth it. Joined by guest host Cindy, we talk about mysterious drawers, narcissistic assholes & appropriate funeral attire. Don't miss this one!

The cast is stacked - JOHN CHO! - but the science doesn't add up, the future chain of events doesn't line up, there isn't enough Gaius Fracking Baltar and we're subjected to a Seth MacFarlane cameo! All that and Hannah & Saskia still kind of love it. Who's side are you on?

Episode 15 - "That Was An Uncomfortable Moment" We watch our first web series turned tv show & we're on board for the most part. Until that last episode. At 8 minutes an episode, we watched only 32 minutes total, making it our shortest Donut show ever! There are some very awkward moments between mother and son, grandma & grandson, and old neighbours. Watch it, listen to this, have a great time!

Quizmaster Piers was delighted to discover the story of three sisters discovering their witching heritage, and Hannah was delighted to share one of her favourite series with all of you.

Episode 13 - "I Forgot About That Hilarious Bit" Hank doesn't have much substance to offer so we try to keep it short and not so sweet. ABC fails us again with a sitcom premise done better on Arrested Development and Canadian gem, Schitt's Creek. Piers wants to see more of the outside world. Hannah wants more Moodie Maddie and Saskia just wants out. But if you stick with us all the way to the end you are guaranteed a musical treat.
