SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #249 - Gotham 3x08 – Mad City: Blood Rush | Recap and ReviewJim Gordon is back at the GCPD, just in time for Captain Barnes, still suffering the side effects of Alice’s toxic blood, to start tear-assing his way through Gotham’s criminal underworld, ripping heads off. He kills a mob clean-up guy, tracks down the guy who hired him, and tortures him into revealing the name of the guy behind the grisly murder: Dr. Symon, a plastic surgeon who kills people, takes their faces, and gives them to criminals looking to start over. Barnes catches him red-handed, so to speak, but he’s connected, so of course it doesn’t stick.. In fact, Symon is a guest at Lee and Mario’s engagement party! An affair that neither Jim or Bullock are invited to, but must crash regardless. Turns out there’s still evidence linking Symon to the crimes even though Lucius says that the beheading was done by someone else—and with their bare hands! Barnes confronts Dr. Symon is the restroom at the party, and winds up throwing him through a wall. Symon drops a few stories and lands on a car. With his last breaths he tells Gordon that Barnes did it.Elsewhere, Ed and Isabella seem to be doing well in their relationship until she puts on her glasses and reminds Ed of Ms. Kringle. He sends Oswald to break up with her for him as he believes he will accidentally kill her as he did Ms. Kringle. Oswald lets her down with measured-yet-jubilant hatred, but Kringle refuses to accept it. She dresses like Kringle to prove that Ed won’t kill her. It works! So Penguin puts a hit on her.Review us on iTunes for a chance to win a trade paperback, DVD, or Blu Ray valued at $15 or less!

(S03E08) - How does a good cop finally turn bad? When crooks work the system Barnes gets real mad. How will Jim handle his return to the force? By hunting down monsters with Harvey, of course. Isabella is freaky? Ed has no clue. Why go for Oswald when Kringle will do? Why does nobody notice Barnes’ pale blush? He’d better hope for a facial “Blood Rush”.

Hey Arrowheads! Thank you guys so much for being patient with the release of this episode! Unfortunately it is a little late due to people being sick over the weekend and others having school finals to take care of, but we're back for this special mid-season finale episode before we head back off to hiatus-land! On this week's episode, Dan joins Woo and Michael once again to talk about the second part of the Arrow - Season 2 mid-season finale (and second Geoff Johns co-written Barry Allen episode) "Three Ghosts"! We talk about Oliver's secret, The Flash's origin, Diggle's role on Team Arrow, who Laurel could become by the season's end, Roy/Thea/Sin, Felicity and Barry, Solomon Grundy, Shado's unfortunate demise, and Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke the Terminator! Not to mention this week's look at this episode's DC Universe Easter Eggs and the finale to the 6-part CW/Bose commercial series "Blood Rush" starring Roy and Felicity! Oddly enough there are no spoilers in this week's episode as we head off to break, but before we go, we at the Longbow Hunters Podcast, as well as the whole Across the Airwaves Podcast Network, wish all you listeners, and your families, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Hello loyal Arrowheads! On this week's episode, Michael & Woo talk about the ancient "League of Assassins" as they dive into the episode of the same name. They discuss Moira's trial, Laurel Lance - what's her issue and why does she do what she does -, Shado's possible fate, who is the "Child of Ra's al Ghul", more Arrow/Canary team-ups, Detective Lance, and much more! The duo also reviews the first episode of the new Bose/CW Arrow mini-series (much like the "Chloe Chronicles" or the "Vengeance Chronicles" from Smallville) entitled "Blood Rush", starring Roy Harper and Felicity Smoak (with Detective Lance!). Michel then gives his quick plug/review of the Batman: Zero Year tie-in issue to Jeff Lemiere's New 52 GREEN ARROW series, which gives some backstory on Oliver, Diggle and Moira! Plus, SPOILERS after the music for next week's episode "Keep Your Enemies Closer"! All this and more on this week's Longbow Hunters: The Arrow Podcast!
