Warning - this episode contains explicit language. What a delight and how super fun it was to spend some time with ministerial and metaphysics student, spiritual counsellor, financial advisor, and uber Rush fan, Thomas DeSchutter! With his opening response of, "I don't know anymore who I am", our conversation quickly leaned into what it means to navigate the present moment in tact, and how ultimately, gratitude is where it's at. Thomas talked to us about how his spiritual studies have lit a fire in his soul and heart, and about how the work we do on ourselves is constant and never done. He talked about how that work allows us to lessen the gap between where we are and what is possible that much more quickly. We talked curiosity, labels, and integrity. We also delved into the world of crypto currency, which opened the conversational door to the concepts of safety and risk. Money, value, scarcity, inflation vs. devaluation, Cesar's trimming of gold coins, Bitcoin, proof of work vs. staking, the value of money, and looking at currency in new ways all made for a rich, engaging, juicy conversation that could've kept going beyond the recorded two hours! Thomas also told us of having his mind blown at 7 years old when he first heard Rush drummer Neil Peart, and how the music of Rush inspired him to become a rock musician himself - both ruining and making his life! Thomas also shared his 5 Money Principles, and the 3 main teachings of Jesus distilled down to healing one another, breaking bread together, and building community. We talked freedom of choice, bodily autonomy, standing in Principle, segregation, using our imagination, and not being afraid to die. This, and so much more...! Plus, there's the super fun Rapid Fire Question Round at the end! A new episode posted at least twice a month!
