Episode 306 dives deep into the journey of personal growth and development in both individuals and as a couple. We discuss how being a work in progress and how taking ownership of your own growth can benefit not only yourself but also your partner. One common theme that we explore is the idea of men feeling like they have no other value in the world besides money. We challenge this notion and talk about how bad behavior can become a reflection of fear, and how showing up as the man your partner needs you to be is an important part of creating a strong, healthy relationship. We also address the unfair expectation that wives need to do all the work in marriage and the assumption that women do not need us just because they are strong. We discuss how mother's instincts and trauma triggers can impact relationships and marriages and the importance of addressing these issues head-on. Throughout the episode, we stress the importance of communication and building a strong bond of trust between partners. We talk about how changing doesn't necessarily mean that your partner will automatically trust those changes. If you want to improve your relationship with your partner or even just yourself, check out our website and apply to join our community https://irreplaceableman.com/apply/. As men, we have a natural desire to provide for our families and achieve success in our careers. Frankly, this is how most men avoid dealing with their problems. And the problem with that is it hurts the people we say we are working hard for. I remember Meredith saying to me, “You say you're running the race for us, however every time you get a chance to celebrate with your family, you run right by us.” That hurt and hit deep. She was right. I was saying one thing and doing another. I was acting as a business man that happened to have a family. My life changed when I met Jon Vroman who introduced me to the concept of being a family man with a business and the mindset shift that came with it. The pursuit of professional goals can sometimes come at the expense of our family life. Jon and I discuss the challenges of balancing family and business, and share insights on how to prioritize both aspects of our lives family first. We explore strategies for setting boundaries, managing our time, and communicating effectively with our loved ones. Our guest, Jon Vroman — shares his personal experiences and the lessons he has learned as he navigated through the competing demands of work and family. Marriage is not just about two people living together. When you're married, you don't have a housemate, you have a partner that you have made a commitment to. Not just to provide for or take care of, your commitment also has to do with who you are and who you become. Constant personal evolution and growth is a must. For the first couple years of our marriage, I wasnt following those rules. In my mind, because I was providing financially at a high level and we were living a great life, thats all the contribution that was necessary. Yeah, I was a fucking failure as a husband and then the day came when Mere had enough. She gave me an ultimatum that hit me square between the eyes. It broke me and knocked me onto a course of deep level personal growth and development. The fact that not only was I replaceable in my marriage, I also realized that like most men, I was also replaceable as a leader in my business, as a professional and sadly, as a father. Everything changed when the fear of her being with someone else kicked in and I would have let her go knowing that I could have done something however I remained selfish and in my ego. It was beyone fear, I felt and sensed the immense regret I would feel later on in life knowing that I had the chance to make it better and didnt. So the first commitment was to me, to put me first in a serving way and focus on my growth while I learned about what she needed and who she needed me to be. In this special episode, my wife (Meredith) and I put everything on the table and talk about our relationship from the beginning. We are vulnerable and honest about the ins and outs of our marriage in hopes of helping every man out there to transform into their best selves and finally become The Irreplaceable Man & Husband that they need to be, the one their wives want to be with and the one their wives will never leave.. Yes, brother, its all on you! Now that we have switched over to The Irreplaceable Man podcast, you can expect 2x episodes a month with Meredith and I digging into a new topic that stop marriages from being amazing and stop men from being irreplaceable. Episode 300 is about why even great marriages could still be at the brink of divorce, and how going through self-transformation could remedy such a situation. There is a common misconception that if you are married, your marriage is guaranteed. This is not the case, and anyone who says otherwise is either unaware of or in denial of the issues concerning the reality of marriage. According to The National Center for Health Statistics in the United States, at least 50% of marriages will end in divorce (Jones & Schulz, 2000). Today, Keith Yackey, founder and CEO of The Married Game & The Ascend Brotherhood, has been committed to helping married men learn how to get their wives to “want” to have sex with them again. He will be discussing communication, attraction, integrity, supporting yourself and other winning formulas that could help you and your spouse rekindle your connection, as every great marriage could be on the doorstep of divorce. It's not a question of “if,” it's a question of “when.” The ability to overcome challenges helps us heal from pain, transform disappointment into victory, and rebuild trust. Episode 299 is about generational traumas and experiences, and how we cope with it differently in our varying paces as individuals. As we grow older, we may not even realize that we are living with the effects of generational traumas. Our coping skills are programmed into us by our parents, siblings and other environmental factors — even if it doesn't seem like we're hearing it directly from them. Each generation has nuances, but the bottom line is that we must break these patterns if we want to move forward. Generational trauma is defined as the psychological consequences of traumatic events that are experienced by a second or subsequent generation through inherited family systems. This form of intergenerational trauma can lead to physical, emotional and mental health problems. Today, Paul Cope, a highly accomplished consultant, coach, business owner and corporate lawyer possessing a powerful transformative presence with the ability to provide insights that are invaluable to any organization — reminds us of the impact of generational trauma and how we must cope with it. He shares that as humans, we are hardwired to deal with crises and trauma by connecting socially with other people in our community. As a result of our experiences with trauma and loss, it may be difficult for us to trust others or reach out when we need help, hence why he wrote the book How to Solve Any Problem in Life. Just like Paul, we want to help guide men in whatever it is that they might be going through. Episode 298 is about acknowledging and accepting your core, including loving who you are with the help of discovering new realms. At some point in our lives, we all go through the deep and dark hole of self-discovery. We fear that what we are or who we are could be deemed as unacceptable by society — that we think we need to achieve so many things and become so powerful just to be praised by others. We often fail to realize that this acceptance, respect and praise that we crave are highly rooted within ourselves. Today, Matt Zemon, the author of Psychedelics for Everyone and the Co-Founder of HAPPŸŸ — a mental wellness company that specializes in psychedelic-assisted oral ketamine therapy along with digital therapeutics that promote life-transforming outcomes, challenges us to keep an open-mind to welcome the proper usage and benefits of psychedelics as powerful medicines. He will be with us to speak about his transformation and how psychedelics were able to help other people overcome anxiety, depression, addiction, PTSD and many more. As Matt said, “You are enough right now. You are loved right now. Just go. Just be.” So, join us as we face life with gratitude. Episode 297 is about embracing the mystery of death, our spiritual connections with others and how it can transform us. Most of us fear the idea of death, because we all fear what we do not know. We fear that we might no longer be able to do what we could have done when we still had the chance. Indeed, we regret more the things we did not do than those we did, and this is what makes today's episode very special — as it teaches us how we could possibly handle the concept of dying and how it involves a lot of acceptance. Today, former founder and CEO of a successful multimillion-dollar consumer products company, John David Latta, opens our minds and challenges our emotions when it comes to the inevitable. He is a mystic, teacher, and author who shares intimate and personal stories and teaches workshops on leadership, healing, transformation, awakening, love, synchronicity, and wisdom that unite and expand human experience. As John shares, “We are constructed at a soul level. A cat doesn't die, but the body dies. A human being doesn't die, but the body dies.” Death is a mystery, but death is also part of life and a natural, spiritual experience. To understand what happens when we die, we need to see ourselves in the context of relationships that connect us with others and with something beyond our individual selves. Just like John, we value relationships and connections the most, that is why we provide support for men in all works of life — an extraordinary opportunity to live life more fully and connect with those they love. Episode 296 is about personal development and being purposeful in your life journey. When opportunities arise in your life, do you realize how often you discredit yourself? Because our episode for today tells us straight up that discrediting yourself is not only negative for you; it also insults those who believe in the value that you bring. Discrediting yourself is a dangerous thing to do. When you start believing that you are not good enough, that belief can spread to other areas of your life, and it will cause you to make bad decisions. Today, CEO Randall Crowder of Phunware — a technology company in Austin, TX developing mobile and data solutions for major brands and launching a unique cryptocurrency called PhunCoin, encourages us to be critical in our life choices. Our life choices include a lot of self-actualization and self-reflection, and this episode is about owning up to your choices, because whatever you have, wherever you are, and whoever you are now, is all on YOU. As Randall shares, “We are not human beings. We are human BECOMINGS,” and that speaks volumes about who we choose to be in life. Episode 295 is about surviving the dark hole in pursuit of our true purpose and happiness. Sometimes when things are going so perfectly in our life, that's the exact moment we feel lost. We get consumed by fame, power and money, thinking all of it should be enough, that it is all that we need — that we forget what it truly feels to LIVE. We start asking ourselves, is this all life has to offer? Today, a former MLB baseball player and MLB all star, Shea Hillenbrand gets to share with us his journey towards the pursuit of his true purpose and happiness. He hid all of his childhood dreams and then realized that none of them were his actual dreams, that all he was doing was chasing the money, fame and the identity of his popularity to appease his ego. So in this episode, we are going to dig deep into our childhood traumas, face our fears, and surpass all the hurdles we thought only the grand things could solve, and we are going to do this together. This could resolve a lot of issues when it comes to intimacy, traumas, and even grief. After all, the opposite of love is grief. You love somebody you can lose. That's an unforgettable line we got from Dr. Thomas Jordan — whose clinical specialty is treating adults who are depressed and anxious about past or present unhealthy relationship experiences, people who are struggling with low self-esteem, feelings of loss, or an unhealthy love life. Episode 276 is about soul searching. We are not humans experiencing life for ourselves; we are eternal spirits living a human experience. Robert Althuis, author of “Never Enough It's: Getting What Money Can't Buy”, shares his own experience that money is just one part of success. As a child, he had all the trimmings: money, houses and cars too but something felt amiss. There was a deep-rooted emptiness inside him waiting to be filled. He discovered that what matters most is what satisfies our souls—those intangible things that make us feel alive from within. Soul, the core of our existence. If we don't nourish the soul, nothing is gonna happen to us. We don't know our purpose and our calling. Join us in this enlightening episode as Robert expands on this topic. Society tells us that happiness requires material possessions: a car, house, money. But in reality, you can be happy without those things. It's about the journey rather than the destination. Dr. Eric Holsapple learned this lesson after he chased what he thought would make him fulfilled - only to find himself lost and without purpose. But after some time had passed, he discovered himself. He realized what his purpose was - to serve the people of this world and give back to the communities. His goal is to change the world by helping everyone who needs it. Episode 271 is about finding the blessing. There are moments when we think things will always go our way. But suddenly, BOOM! they're gone. In one instance, Christian Elliott had it all—a successful business and money in the bank too. Problems arose and his company went bankrupt. He didn't let his loss become too much for him. Rather than relying solely on prayer or waiting for miracles to occur— he did something about it. And along the way, he found himself. Starting with a clean slate, everything was perfect. His wife supported him; his children inspired him. He listened to podcasts and read books—anything to improve himself. And then it suddenly clicked: he had figured out what was wrong, but now wasn't the time for celebrating. There were still plenty of hurdles ahead on this lifelong path toward being a better version of himself. This can be your story too.
