Kelsey joins Adam and Steve to review beers for summertime watersports...you know like kayaking and wakeboarding. Don't be filth. They talk about upcoming summer beer fests, offer tips for a succesful river float trip, and steal the Cool Games Inc format to bring craft brewing to video games in honor of E3. Also Adam gets yelled at a lot for having never seen Salute Your Shorts.Beers:Rivertowne Class V DIPAKnee Deep Brewing Lupulin River Imperial IPAHarpoon Camp Wannamango Pale Ale

In this episode, Paul, Jimmy, and Glen discuss the biggest video gaming expo that happens every year: The Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3. They all agree that per usual there are some better presenters than others but overall what they've seen at E3 this year excites them for the rest of the year. They focus on Nintendo as a fan-favorite and because they're really excited for Breath of the Wild DLC. Paul and Jimmy distrust marketing tactics that try to exploit the audiences but also can't come up with better ways to convey gameplay to the masses. They take the ideas behind Sea of Thieves and try to make a better game (Cool Games Inc. style). It's expo time for the most current topic the boys have ever discussed! Stop releasing Skyrim!! Welcome, defenseless listeners, to the Escort episode! Let these four barely competent boys guide you to your auditory destination. Be careful, for the path is fraught with digressions and distractions that will endanger you and your stalwart hosts. These include: intellectual property theft (sorry Cool Games Inc. fans,) friendly dogs eager for attention, memories of abstinence only sex education, and The Shame Bell™ If you survive the trip, let us know your thoughts at the Left Trigger Right Trigger Facebook page or tweet at us @LTRTCast. Games discussed include Portal, Yoshi's Island, Kirby Mass Attack, and Enslaved: Odyssey to the West
In this special video episode of CoolGames Inc (available on youtube.com/polygon), Griffin and Nick lay out their plans for Taste Buds, a friends-only cooperative VR food experience. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
It's Nintendo Switch launch day, a day that we here on CoolGames Inc treat as a federal holiday. To celebrate, we treat ourselves to a big ol' batch of good, stupid video game ideas, including a game about going to heaven, another about buying a Vita in Reggie Fils-Aime's body, and a alternate history prohibition game so elaborate we don't have time to summarize it in this podcast description text. This week, Max "Nerds Rope" Scoville, Brian "Big League Chew" Altano, Alanah "Skittles" Pearce, are joined by special guest Nick "Hershey's Kiss" Robinson from Polygon. You might be familiar with his podcast CoolGames Inc., or the incredible video series Car Boys, but if you're not, fix that immediately. Anyway, Nick and Alanah both played around with Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, which sounds scary. Gravity Rush 2 reviews are out in the wild, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Kingdom Hearts III might be a longer wait than we realized, and a bunch of other stuff about VR and video games and whatnot. It's a podcast, listen to it.
Griffin graciously takes some time out of his paternity leave to make an appropriately baby-sized episode of CoolGames Inc, where we explore a small but delightful selection of ideas — including a horse-based Burnout clone. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
Featuring Griffin McElroy of Polygon/MBMBaM/Adventure Zone. SBJ sits down with Griffin and talks Pokémon and his Nuzlocke run of Pokémon Y. SBJ, Will, and Travis talk Pokémon GO and answer e-mails. We are prepping for the Pokémon Sun and Moon launch in less than 2 weeks, so stay tuned for more content! Interview starts at 55 mins. Enjoy!
This week on CoolGames Inc, Griffin and Nick learn a valuable lesson about why you maybe don't record 4 back-to-back episodes of a podcast: because you might end up running out of good ideas. As a result, this final installment of CGI Jr includes such gems as Night at the Bad Dragon Museum, an Applebee's equivalent of Chex Quest, Rainbow Six Siege for surprise parties, and some sort of dumb game about hiding a Bop-It Extreme thousands of years in the past. Enjoy! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
This time on CoolGames Inc, we explore a game about sneaking food into a movie theater, a Where's Waldo edition of No Man's Sky, Nintendogs but for Doom demons, and Nine Lives: Origins. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
This week's CoolGames Inc, we put it all on the line and really rack our brains for an idea that'll save this company — and that means Pokemon Go but for dogs, Pokemon Go but for eye contact, and Pokemon Go but for WHATEVER, MAN, GET ON THE MONEY TRAIN Learn more about your ad choices. Mind Grapes: Sam is inspired by a recent episode of This American Life and Lindy West's new book Shrill to pick up Jes Baker's Things No One Tells Fat Girls. Alli was dragged to the Jane Austen adaptation Love and Friendship, but LOVED IT. But this weekend has been devoted to playing Blizzard's latest Overwatch. Speaking of games, Sam also plugs her latest podcast binge Cool Games Inc. Class Z(ed): It's been about a month, but this year's BC Library Conference was a super cool time. We talk about volunteering, Corey Doctorow's firebrand keynote, and an amazing presentation on privacy, and a number of other conference bits and bobs. Also check our article in BCLA Perspectives: "Democracy in Your Earbuds: The Freedom of Podcasting."
Okay, here's the deal: this was originally intended to be the first-ever video episode of CoolGames Inc, but thanks to a technical SNAFU, the entire video more or less vanished. On the plus side, the audio survived, so count your blessings and enjoy this extra-wet, extra-short hot tub episode of CoolGames Inc, brought to you live from E3 2016. You found it! The lost episode! Wow I can't believe you dropped it behind the closet and never checked. This week we discuss personality tests, Eurovision, dating simulators, submarines for mermaids and trans drive thru/phone experiences. We also do a pastiche of CoolGames Inc and I hope Griffin doesn't sue us.
This week's CoolGames Inc has us making our most illegal game yet — but not before talking about a wrestler who thinks wrestling is real, Self-Defense for Gentle People, an FPS about shooting food into faces and more. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
Aaron recommends CoolGames Inc., a comedy podcast where Griffin McElroy and Nick Robinson pitch video games to real gaming insiders! CoolGames Inc. is a new podcast from Polygon, hosted by Nick Robinson and Griffin McElroy. Every week, Nick and Griffin solicit joke video game titles from their Twitter followers. On the podcast, they sort through these pitches, seeing which has the potential to be a fleshed out video game pitch. Then, they present their idea to a video game insider: a celebrity from the comedy or gaming world, or a real-life gaming exec who accepts game pitches in real life. The show is filled with constant laughs, and you get to see just a little bit inside the gaming world, too.
