We discuss our spoiler-free Fall 2025 anime first impressions. There seems to be a gap between the good stuff and the mid stuff this season. We share our initial thoughts on a bunch of bad romances, an anime that might capture the magic of Christmas, and the end of an era with the final season of My Hero Academia. Today, Brennan and Meth discuss the on-going debate between the Bomb Devil and Bakugo, and who would beat who (the Bomb Devil would destroy Bakugo). We also discuss how great the new Reze Chainsaw Man movie was and how excellent My Hero Academia has been recently, and how Gnosia has been the sleeper-hit of the season so far.Send us a text
Things do be falling around anime land. The usual crew arrives ready to discuss the fall 2025 season of anime. Final seasons of My Hero Academia and To Your Eternity, a new season of Ranma 1/2, spinoffs in Ginpachi, and against everyone's better judgement another season of One Punch Man. We have a few new shows too, so as always when one thing ends something else begins. Will those new things have any staying power or are they bound to slide into obscurity? Plus news and recommendations, you know the drill.

With My Hero Academia coming to an end, it's time to reflect on the strange history of this iconic series. Once one of the most promising new shonen series after the famous Big 3 (Naruto, Bleach, One Piece), My Hero Academia was primed to usher in the next stage of the anime medium. But after some online controversies regarding the fandom and the emergence of a new wave of more mature and darker shonen like The Dark Trio (Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Hell's Paradise), My Hero Academia fell out of favour with much of the anime fandom. What's more, the super hero genre that helped the series find initial success became massively oversaturated, with 'super hero fatigue' contributing to the struggles My Hero Academia faced. Despite this complicated history, My Hero Academia remains one of the most popular series of its time and has maintained huge manga sales. Now with the final season of the anime set to bring the story to its conclusion, its time for us to reflect on the

Take a listen as he addresses the current climate around us and looks to My Hero Academia characters like Bakugou, Dabi, Spinner, Shouji, and Deku to discuss how anger can go wrong—and how we ought to treat our enemies. Call to Action As Mike says, let’s… Read More The Power of God and Anime Podcast, Episode 30: Justifying Anger and Fighting Enemies in My Hero Academia
