El concejal de Juventud, Arán López, presentó esta mañana en RadioVoz el II Artabrian Weekend, un torneo de distintos formatos del juego Magic que se celebrará los días 14, 15 y 16 de noviembre en el Pazo do Monte. La actividad, organizada por Artabrian Nights con la colaboración del Concello de Ferrol, busca atraer a jugadores de toda España. López recordó que en la pasada edición participaron 300 personas provenientes de diversos puntos del país y destacó que, a día de hoy, ya hay más de 140 inscritos procedentes de Galicia, Andalucía, Madrid, Canarias, Asturias y Cantabria. “Cada visitante es una oportunidad para conocer Ferrol, su gente, su hostelería y su patrimonio”, señaló. El torneo incluirá los clásicos de Magic: The Gathering y, como novedades, se incorporan el One Piece Card Game y el Star Wars: Unlimited, con variedad de formatos para todos los niveles, desde principiantes hasta jugadores veteranos. Además, el Artabrian Weekend volverá a contar con una recogida de alimentos, tras el éxito de la edición anterior, en la que se recaudaron más de 100 kilos de comida, consolidándose así como un evento solidario. El concejal destacó que el Artabrian Weekend se ha convertido en “una cita única, un punto de encuentro entre jugadores, profesionales y aficionados, y un escaparate para Ferrol que demuestra que esta ciudad tiene mucho juego, energía y creatividad”. Welcome to Supply Lines, a running feature here on TMP where the dorks will be looking at resource management in games. What games? All games, because Chewie is convinced that they're all just different styles of resource management dressed up in genre pants. This is the second Supply Lines episode, after starting with Magic: The Gathering (for obvious reasons) in episode 723. For this one we decided to go to one of the most hardcore examples of resource management in games, Dungeons & Dragons! Chewie has been playing Baldur's Gate 3 and the other dorks actually play D&D, so they've all got stuff to say. This episode focuses on all the resources you have to manage for character creation, which is surprisingly a lot to the point it can be absolutely overwhelming to new players. All anyone wants to talk about right now is Electronic Arts, and reasonably so. The American publishing titan is on the verge of being purchased by external interests for $55 billion, and when we say external, we mean it. The major player in reverting EA to a private corporation is Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund, muddying this already complex deal that also happens to be the largest leveraged buyout in human history.
