E12 S2 Witchcraft In Old New England Homes Full Video Episode Available On YouTubehttps://youtu.be/l8mmOIogvSsRebel Crow Psychic Show is back for another episode, this time to talk about Traditional European Witchcraft and how it migrated to the "New World". Many interesting discoveries have been made when renovating and demolishing old homes, all around New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, DC, Virginia, and many other Northern States. Relics of European Folk Magical traditions have been found in attics, crawl spaces, and over doorways. Practices brought over by people, fleeing the years of inquisitions that decimated Europe at the time, and for many other reasons. A vibrant practice has left its mark in the homes these people have long left behind. Witch Marks and carvings have been found all around these old houses, especially over doorways and under staircases. Daisy Wheels and other esoteric symbols are believed to break hexes and evil spirits from affecting the family within the home. This is magical home protection at it's finest! Athena goes into detail of the beliefs behind these finds and some modern day context for their use. Come along on our tour of New England and the ripples made from the Witch Crazy of the 1600's, an attack on the indigenous folk healing and magic practices all over Europe. Sources Used In The Creation Of This Video (Not Sponsored)1. New episode! I'm grinding my brain trying to figure out what to fill these podcasts with but I remembered I can always fall back on tossing out some new songs. I kind of did a grab bag of a few for a quick episode. Thanks for listening! Songs: 1) Poem on Fire (3:27) 2) Tweeting @ Tokyo (7:33) 3) Ghost of a Daisy Wheel (11:00) 4) Puerto Rico is an Island (14:29) 5) Don't Be a Stranger (18:41) The picture here is actually one of the original covers (and titles) of my most recent album that ended up being called Hot Take Fight to the Death. Apparently iTunes doesn't take pixelated images because it thinks they're low quality, even if it's done for "artistic purposes". At least I think that's what happened. And now I'm sad remembering this because this is a cooler cover than the one I ended up using. Anyway... Thanks for listening! Jeff Grant's Evolving Podcast is available on iTunes and Soundcloud.
