This episode is inspired by @THEAlishaNicole's tweet: "The hardest part of coming out of a anxiety/depression fog is coming back into reality. While you feel better you're instantly faced with the people and tasks you've neglected. No one talks about the guilt that comes along with that." I dig into that idea and how we can get out of it. Hopefully. We have a lot to discuss this week and thankfully, we didn't touch on Donald Trump's fuckery at all. Kriss is joined by John from the Decepticomics and Non-Productive Comedy Show. We touch on a lot of hilarious topics but the big one is, Marvel dropped the teaser trailer for Black Panther during Game 4 of the NBA Finals. It's everything we could have hoped for. Black Panther represents an important step in making entertainment more inclusive for all. It matters that black women are seen throughout this trailer and that this is setting a new standard. We also talk about the failings of comic book publishers (and fans) and what needs to change to increase comic book sales among those excited to see the movies. But we don't stop there, Hoteps are mad about Black Panther and the images in the trailer and we have a lot of fun laughing at them. Throw in talk about why bearcat hybrids are necessary to thin humanity out (for traffic purposes), having sex with robots, a company working to bring the dead back to life and this is one hilarious episode you won't want to miss. Show Topics: Humans need natural predators to thin out traffic Remembering Adam West West giving advice to other actors playing Batman at NYCC last year The Black Panther trailer is LIT! Why now is the perfect time for Black Panther Hoteps (fake Africans) are mad that Black Panther trailer has actual Africans/African culture Kriss gets irrationally upset at a Hotep for calling a jet a spaceship The perfect idea to keep sex robots from becoming a thing US Company is working to reanimate the dead Ice Cube confronts Bill Maher (Maher is still racist though) Great Moments In White Privilege Woman gets flight canceled because she didn't want to give up her drink and isn't arrested Black Woman Shoutout Shanita Hubbard - I want to partner with writers looking for assistance with finding their "voice". I provide one-on-one coaching to help scribes break down guards and develop a more intimate writing style.  I can also be booked for speaking events that center social justice, media or prison reform. We do, however, have an incredible conversation between Profex and the gaming funny man Mike Brown who is currently on tour with the Decepticomics. The tour is called the Down Forward Punch tour, so there’s clearly some gaming pedigree on deck. Tune in and enjoy!
