For this episode I'm joined once again by author and ex-solider, Jon Trigg to speak about his new book “Death In Derry” which tells the story of the Derry IRA and it's perpetual leader, Martin McGuinness.Jon joined us last year when he released “Death In The Fields”, his excellent book on the East Tyrone IRA, for what was one of my personal favorite interviews.Jon tells us about Derry's significance in Irish history as well as “the troubles” period itself. This is the breakdown:6 minutes on Midwest, Chicago and South Bend weather2.5 minutes revisiting my summer forecast for Midwest made in June.2.5 minutes revisiting the statistic of 1x every 4,476 years2 minutes on east coast.2 minutes on desert southwest. 3 minutes on Pacific northwest. The End2 minute song This podcast focuses on Chicago initially and South Bend Indiana. It then goes on to speak about the current weather for Midwest and the outlook in rainfall this week and temperature outlook for next week. Next topic covers an update on the long term forecast that was made on this podcast back in June in regards to the Midwest. The Heat of the Pacific Northwest is briefly tied into this. About 11 minutes into the Podcast we finally move on to the East Coast and discuss the 2 day heatwave. Baltimore/ Washington D.C.. Is singled out. Next topic covers the tropical storm of Florida and its expected impact on the east coast. Then we finally move on to discuss a strong heatwave that is developing in the desert southwest. Temps might break records in some areas. The monsoon moisture is discussed along with sandstorms and dry lightning. The next topic is the Pacific northwest. The departing heat dome is discussed along with the arrival of the next heatwave spreading into the area from the desert southwest by the weekend. Wild fires are discussed. Finally, temperature outlook is given for the Pacific northwest for next week where we find out whether this heat will be sticking around or not.
