Comedian and Professional Editor Harry Moroz (Tig n' Seek, Children's Hospital) was a weird kid. Interestingly, he was the exact kind of kooky kid that this podcast has become infamous for: unicycle fandom. Harry's first gig was building unicycles for a renowned builder in Michigan, and he kept it weird ever since. He got fired from washing dishes, guarding lives, and even making pizza! Harry didn't mind though, he was tired of being told he wasn't good at anything, saving racist kids, and making perfect phallic breadsticks with no one to appreciate his fine art. Nick and Chase found a Craigslist job for anyone having a really tough time who wants to get beat up and a paid gig for the second most annoying instrument in the world. No drugs involved, no blood draws…it's Fuck This Place! This week I talk to Actress and comedian Sarah J. Halstead. You may have seen her on stage doing comedy or on TV in numerous commercials. She has acted in the crime re-enactment show, Deadly Sins, as well as Meet the Roommate—a movie she played the leading role in, and wrote and produced. As a Flint, Michigan native, the recent Flint water crisis hit a little too close to home for Sarah, so she organized “Stand-up for Flint!” a charity event where she along with 9 other comics from Michigan perform at Flappers comedy club in Burbank, CA on December 8th, 2016 at 8pm. 100% of the proceeds go to help the people of Flint. If you are in the LA area you can “Stand-up For Flint!” too and get some laughs while you are at it. Check out Sarah, Shondalia White, Mike Bobbit, Corbin Recke, Ron Tahlor, Harry Moroz, Ricarlo Flanagan, Trevor Smith, Dave Reinitz, Meera Manek and Stand-Up For Flint! Our old pal Harry Moroz returned from his self-imposed exile in Detroit and FINALLY makes his debut on Straight Riffin. You’re in for an epic time (don’t miss the freestyle rap session at the end!) where we discuss arcades, skits on rap albums, documentaries, the Koch brothers & other rich people conspiracies, Teddy and Mitcz take turns trying to explain “Inception” to each other, and Harry KILLS it with some freestyle rappin’.
