This episode is bittersweet in that it has your favorite host talk Highlander with Jesse and returning guest Laura Magee. It's only bitter in that with The Source and the Search for Vengeance we have run out of Highlander movies to talk about. In past episodes Josh has made convincing arguments for why this franchise is better than it's made out to be. The running joke being "There should have only been one movie." Well in this episode we're gonna further test the warrants of that statement.First movie on the block is the last of the live action Highlander movies (for now), Highlander: The Source. With a 1.3 on Letterbox, has the Source earned it's bad reputation, or is everyone just hating on Duncan? After that we cover the first anime film for the podcast. Highlander: The Search For Vengeance, a film that really gives immortality a run for its money with a storyline that crosses 2,000 years. In the end the only question that matters is whether or not Highlander: The Source and Highlander: The Search For Vengeance are BLOODY GOOD FILMS?and Remember... KEEP IT BLOODY BUDDIES......#highlander #duncan #macleod #adrianpaul #lambert #lambbear #immortal #kurgan #Action #Horror #ActionFilm #ActionMovie #ActionMovies #HorrorFilm #HorrorFilms #HorrorMovie #HorrorMovies #ActionPodcast #HorrorPodcast #Slasher #80s #80sHorror #NewPodcast
Well, it was inevitable. When we said we would review all of the movies, we were going to get to this one eventually. Audie and Travis watched it, so you don't have to, it's 2007's Highlander: The Source. The fifth installment in the series, and possibly the worst of the films. Sit back, relax, and listen to the rant.
Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi, Thrasher, and Alex Miller discuss the rare pilot for Revenge of the Nerds from 1991. Nerds join a fraternity to score with chicks with network TV level hijinks. Taking the standard trope of TV shows spun off movies, this pilot episode retells its feature film inspiration as a single TV episode. Well, actually it's maybe the first half of the original movie. Things are toned down, there's a constant laugh track as was the style of the time (this has major Saved by the Bell vibes), and it drags like snail juice. This is the worst thing I've watched for Sequelcast 2 and Friends since Highlander: The Source. Stars Robbie Rist and Richard Gant of The Brady Bunch and Jason Goes To Hell fame, respectively. From the dawn of time it came, moving silently down through the centuries. Living many secret lives, struggling to reach the year 2007, when the technology to display its awfulness was ready for the world. No one had ever known it was among you, for none had the courage to review a thing so horrid.....until now. Come join in our own little gathering as we here at the table review arguably the worst Highlander film ever made, Highlander: The Source. Listen in amazement as we battle to the last, because in the end, there can be only one.

This movie by far is one of the worst we reviewed on 3BG. ... ... ...I'm done. Very VERY funny episode. This movie hurt us. All song on episodes aren't own by 3BlackGeeks. Opening song by ZIOAN Ending song by Benihana Boy Twitter: @3blackgeeks @cjwizgeek @Deetheblackgeek @blknerdjapan @dukect
There should be only one! Chris and I discuss the straw that broke an already dubious franchises’ back. Freddie Mercury spins in his grave! What happens if you eat an immortal? How does any of this work?
Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi and Thrasher discuss Highlander: The Source. Duncan MacLeod (Adrian Paul) searches for the source of immortality. Meant to be the start of a new trilogy, Highlander: The Source feels like it was shot in a basement with awful special effects to boot. An embarrassment to the franchise, Highlander: The Source has little to recommend it other than an unintentionally funny end credits song. Follow the show on Twitter @Sequelcast2 Like our Sequelcast 2 Facebook Page Sequelcast 2 is delighted to be a member of The Batman Podcast Network. The live-action Highlander films come to an end this week with Highlander: The Source. Your hosts Justin, Eliz, and Tyler, much like the immortals they've been discussing each week, are left to wonder 'what exactly is The Source?!', for the rest of eternity! The saga of live-action Highlander films comes to a chilling conclusion with what could be the worst movie of the series, starring Who Gives A Shit and Please Make It Stop. Special thanks to Patreon producer James Raney for making it all happen!
From the dawn of time Highlander sequels came, moving silently through the 90s and 2000’s. No one has ever known of this made for television movie sequel; Highlander: The Source… until now! This week’s Chatflix Mini has Stu and Shaun crossing swords once again, in an attempt to decapitate this TV movie, the final and arguably the worst of the Highlander sequels (which Brose will also argue Brose, despite that he has never seen it) Adrian Paul, Thekla Reuter, Cristian Solimeno and Peter Wingfield star in this film as the franchise goes out with a whimper. No one is asking for the recipe of this Secret Source. There can be only one… only one more… there can be only one more ‘last one’… one.
If there’s one thing that needed to be made, it was a sequel to Highlander. Unfortunately what we got was The Quickening. Much as the only way to get the bad taste of a chocolate out of your mouth is to eat seven more, so did we get inundated with sequels. We visit with the fifth of them in, Highlander The Source[2007] under the hypothesis that the even numbered ones will always be garbage. While this is probably true, the odd numbered ones are just as incoherent. Featuring random blob immortals, the guy who played Duncan McCloud and a host of plotless destiny mumbly jumbly. Weltall then talks about Hell … Continue reading Popcorn Pulse 78: Highlander… again →
Episode 93 is Highlander The Animated Series(1994), spinning and twirling off from The Highlander movie series Highlander (1986) and ignores the sequels Highlander II: The Quickening (1991), Highlander III: The Sorcerer (1994), Highlander: Endgame (2000) and Highlander: The Source (2007). In Highlander: Endgame (2000)Plus the live action Tv Show 1992 (which also had a spinoff). In the post-apocalyptic medieval 27th century, Ramirez mentors young Quentin MacLeod who must seek pacified Immortals, gain their knowledge through a non-lethal form of Quickening, and free the land from the evil Immortal overlord Kortan.
Episode Seven! For the last "official" entry in the Highlander franchise, the cockney accents are laid on thick, and the CGI is practically held together with string. Surely not even the addition of cannibals can save this movie from itself? Can it??
Just when you thought movie sequels couldn't possibly get any worse than Highlander II: The Quickening, here comes a film that not only completely negates the entire Highlander mythos, but also royally besmirches Freddie Mercury while it's at it. Yes, it's Highlander: The Source, which truly shows that there isn't more to life than this. Please visit http://tranquiltirades.wikia.com.
