It's also said that this movie has not aged well in our current political climate which makes us even more excited to preview and review it. Come to think of it, we can remember a few scenes that might be a little problematic. We can remember a few scenes that might be a little misogynistic. We can also remember a few funny and downright hilarious scenes. But we won't know until we watch it again and find out for sure. So please join us as we head back to 1984 and watch Lewis, Gilbert, Booger, Takashi, Poindexter, Lamar, and Wormser get into some serious raunchy 80's hijinks, all while we quote our friend Ogre in loudly declaring, "NERDS!"Do You Remember Liking This Movie?

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Dan back on the show as we discuss the 1984 comedy Revenge of the Nerds.  A bunch of misfits come to college, where apparently, the local high school football team is masquerading as college students.  Honestly, have you ever met an adult who acts like this?   Setting their house on fire?  Sure.  Destroying property that doesn't belong to them?  Of course.  Carelessly spilling and spitting out beer?   Unforgiveable.  This movie lost me at this point.  But don't you worry.  Our Nerds are going to use Brains over Brawn and give these jocks their comeup'ens.  There are some future stars hiding among the cast, as we finally get the answer to the age-old question, “What the fuck are robster craws?”  This is an all-time classic movie, and we had a great time discussing it.  Enjoy the podcast.

Since this is still Revenge Month, the time has come for a one-Ryan episode about Revenge Of The Nerds. Yes, there are a few controversial scenes where our otherwise-lovable heroes strike back against mean-spirited football players...although what they do to the jocks' snobby cheerleader girlfriends is far worse. But this IS a tacky, sex comedy that was made 40 years ago. Robert Carradine and especially Anthony Edwards are fun and sweet, but it's Carradine's character who---more than once---crosses the line with Julia Montgomery. Still, it's easy to enjoy the spirit and the sincerity of MOST of Jeff Kanew's silly comedy. It's also hard to beat the joyous musical number during the talent show or that inspirational ending. So laugh your obnoxious laugh while you get loaded with your geeky frat brothers as Ryan takes a nostalgia trip to talk about the Tri-Lambs, the Omega-Mus and their tormenters in the 584th podcast you'll find on Have You Ever Seen.
