His stage musical We'll Live and Die in These Towns was produced and performed to great acclaim at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry, in 2018, and is in the process of being adapted to film. He is also a BAFTA winning screenwriter, penning multi-award-winning films for luminaries such as Ray Winstone, Paddy Considine, Orlando Bloom, Maxine Peake, Anne Reid, Alison Steadman, Christopher Eccleston and James Cosmo. His most recent feature film, Retaliation starring Orlando Bloom, received great acclaim in the US: it is a muscular biopic about the metaphysical power of forgiveness. s week I had the privilege to travel to meet James Cosmo at his home in Surry to record our chat. He is a proud Scotsman and been a professional actor spanning 60 years. As well as an extensive television career he has appeared in over 130 Hollywood films. He has a love of fishing, especially trout, so whenever he has a chance he likes nothing more than to cast a fly on the river. We also chat about his new venture, 'Storyman' his very own blend of whisky.

Ben a synopsis of the really adorable film where Batman's son has a Home Alone Batman moment. This Batman has definite Devon energy. Is that enough Christmas Batman for Ben? Not in the slightest. Ben played five hours of Batman: Arkham Origins, the most ignored Arkham game. But… it's actually good? And Ben just shut his eyes and pretended it's not an Arkham game at all, since the voice cast does not include Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill. It looks good, for a ten year old game.

Here they discuss the first of the film's many amazing scene transitions, taking us from the parking garage of Madison Square Garden circa 1986 to the highlands of Scotland in the Year of Our Lord 1536. Highlights include Rob W's utter failure to introduce himself, the youthful charm of the male knee, the winning avunicularity of James Cosmo, Highlander's slandering of Kurgan society, false cognates, Birdgate, and the disposability of the female perspective within the film's overarching narrative. It might boil down to three men crossing a bridge and a couple of neat camera moves, but boy, there's a lot to chew on here.
