So, we apologize in advance for lying. We were “planning” to pick our respective Top 6 Favorite Fucking Slayer Tracks. One problem: it’s REALLY hard for us to nail down our personal “Final Six” Favorite Fucking Slayer tracks, because quite frankly, it’s Fucking Slayer. Which means that we could do this episode in a million different ways in a million different multiverses across a million different dimensions and they would ALL be unique. And they would ALL be awesome. Because they would ALL have one thing in common: (you already know…) FUCKING SLAYER!! Having said that, we DID try to nail down what we’ll call the “rough draft” of our respective Top “Final Six” favorite FUCKING SLAYER tracks. As usual, anytime we’re talking about FUCKING SLAYER, you KNOW it’s gonna be a good time. We did actually get into the logic that would ultimately drive our Top Favorite Final Six, but if we’re being honest, it kinda turned into an orgy of Fucking Slayer. (I know, right? Guess what? There’s absolutely NOTHING wrong with that. Ever! In ANY dimension or multiverse!! Especially THIS one!). So turn on your “out of office” notification (technically, that’s NOT lying), roll another bowl of your favorite relaxer (“work/life balance requires more life and less work”), maybe throw in a few shots of fun (just for fun, and just because) and JOIN US as we try our gosh darndest to construct our list of our Top “Final Six” Favorite Fucking Slayer tracks. PLUS, enjoy the complete left turn we took later in the show that still managed to tie everything together and stay 100% within the acceptable realm of relative tangentionalalityismness as it relates to bolth this particular episode ass swell as The Mighty and Powerful Fucking Slayer. Closing out the first quarter of 2020 delivering some realism and fast paced sports analysis on Episode 121. On deck: (2:37) Will sports resume in the near future? By summer? In ANY part of 2020? I'll delve into a possible grim reality on how the coronavirus has a stranglehold on the sports world and if there is any relief in sight? Will the fans rush back into the stadium? What happens if the virus isn't 100% eradicated? Those are a couple of the questions I touch on as you won't want to miss my thoughts on this. (13:25) Should the NBA/NHL transition right into the postseason, if and when, both leagues resume? NHL's Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby think so. While Conor McDavid says, play fair and finish out the regular season. You know I have a thing or two to say about what both leagues should do upon re-starting their seasons. (18:02) The MLB campaign hasn't begun, but there have been discussions on what to do about 2020. Should they extend the schedule deep into the fall? Should postseason games be played at neutral sites? What about the All-Star Game? Various queries and I have answers regarding the above and more. (28:09) How COVID-19 continues to impact the players on the field, court, ice (statuses of Utah's Donovan Mitchell and Boston's Marcus Smart, two Colorado Avalanche players), broadcasters (ESPN's Doris Burke) and even owners (NY Knicks James Dolan). (31:30) Catching up on some fringe signings in the NFL as the free agency period starts to whittle down as we get set for the draft next month. What that may look like as you're watching at home? YIKES! Get ready for that, NFL fans! (35:36) Why you should acquaint yourself with YouTube (Duh!) to watch classic games, as I suggest a few hockey tough guys (you know that's my thing) from yesteryear to keep you occupied and entertained while being self-quarantined. (38:53) My Hero and Zero of the Week. (40:51) Plus, a birthday wish that I ask of you, the listeners, as I celebrate another year in the life on March 31st. Alison Smith started looking into her family heritage and found some surprises. By doing some genealogy research she found out that one of her relatives was a bit of a ruffian way back, and another surprise was the amazing amount of information which is now readily available online. In days gone by you would have to write to get access to birth certificates, or copies of newspaper articles. Now a couple of mouse clicks may get that information needed to find one's family heritage. In this show Alison and Henry talk about her motivation for delving into the family background, how she went about it, and the resources she has found useful for locating information. This is called “Geneology” and seems to be all the rage, all around the world, not just in Australia. Alison talks about a couple of ways you can go about finding your family tree. Some people want to find out about where their ancestors came from, and a little about their lives. Others concentrate on just one or two family members, perhaps for the purpose of writing about them, or just for interest. Both approaches can become equally addictive once you get in to the detective work. In Any regard, delving into one's family heritage can be fun, and very informative as well. Below are some of the resources mentioned in the podcast : * The stories of older living relatives. * Old photographs. * Local libraries. * Historical societies and genealogical societies. * Cemeteries and gravestones. * History books of the period to provide context to the search. * The internet. Two sites Alison finds helpful are: * www.trove.nla.gov.au is part of the National Library, has a massive archive of Australian newspapers. * www.ancestry.com.au can connect you to information and people from all round the world. Do you have resources we don't have listed here? Leave us a comment below if you have other resources which would be useful for people starting the search. It would be very helpful! Special Thanks to: * Angie Strehlow who helps us get great guests that help us with our retirement lifestyle while keeping everything on track…and helps with these show notes! * Les Briney, my husband, and Danny Ozment of Emerald City Pro who edits the show and makes my guests and me sound terrific * Henry Shapiro, host of Retired Excited that airs on Fridays * YOU for telling your friends about the show, leaving comments below, and sharing episodes you really like on Facebook, and reviewing the show on iTunes This post about retirement and Retirement Lifestyle first appeared on http://RockYourRetirement.com

Some people feel that this is the most ANNOYING thing I can do – but it is the BEST stress reliever… in business when something falls through, when your reputation feels threatened, in travel when you think you’re going to miss a flight, when stuff happens in your personal life (your kids break something), or just in general, when shit happens, I say to myself: “It is what it is. I can’t do anything about it.”And it drives my husband CRAZY. A week ago, my husband and kids were supposed to leave Bali – but they didn’t. They missed the flight because of the ginormous ash cloud. And all I could think was “it is what it is.” There’s no point me losing stressing over “what if.” “What if we miss the flight?” “What if the flight gets cancelled again?” In business, when I start to feel “what ifs,” coming – I say to myself “it is what it is.” In ANY entrepreneur’s toolbox, it’s a CRITICAL tool to have in your toolbox. See sometimes, shit just happens regardless. And if you can accept whatever happens – it is what it is – and if you’ve done everything in your control, then just surrender. Surrender and move on. I speak to a lot who hyperventilate through their entire life: “what happens if this happens, what happens if someone says this?” Just SURRENDER. It is what it is. Sometimes shit happens that’s beyond our control. A lot of this comes down to recognizing the difference between knowing where you should spend your time, versus situations that are out of your control, versus situations where you just need to MAKE A DECISION. • If you can’t make decisions quickly and swiftly, you shouldn’t be in business.• Move quickly, with focus• Surrender, and let it all flow • It is what it is • You have the power to choose who are EXERCISE:Think about the latest thing you’ve gone “what if” about. Did that what if come true? Or was it just your mind creating a fear? What decision could you have made instead of convincing yourself “what if”? Now, think about something you have to make a decision on today. Make the decision. Move on.If you enjoyed this episode of ERTV, you can sign up here (http://katloterzo.com/youtube) and receive my FREE book: Multi-Passionate Woman: FOR THE DRIVEN WOMAN WHO WANTS TO BE, DO AND HAVE IT ALL, IN BUSINESS AND LIFE!
