Today we will get the quarterly results from the final two companies of the Big Five: Facebook, Amazon, Apple Computer, Microsoft, and Google/Alphabet. The five companies which now make up nearly 20% of the capitalization of the top 500 companies on the exchange. These companies are clearly the market's leaders. And they continue to attract more and more capital. As capital follows market performance. In fact the two companies reporting today, both have a total net worth of over a Trillion Dollars. And one of them, Amazon, has propelled the individual net worth of its founder, Jeff Bezos, to the number 1 spot in the world. In addition to Amazon, we will also get the latest results from Apple computer.
Stuck at home during the Quarantine? Well, here's an answer: turn on the internet. At least that's how Wall Street sees it. With the big 5 FANG stocks, now taking front and center during the current rally. Facebook, Apple Amazon Microsoft replacing the original Netflix, and Google, now Alphabet. And those companies now define much of our daily activities. Surf the web on your Apple or Windows machine, google old friends and relatives , chat with them on Facebook, and order something online from Amazon. At least that's how Wall Street thinks you spending you days, and they've rewarded those companies accordingly. Three of the companies: Microsoft, Apple and Amazon, make up the very exclusive trillion dollar market cap club. And recent price action indicates that they don't intend to loose that status anytime soon.
