Have you thought about adding affiliate marketing to your subscription box business but you're not sure where to start? Are you wondering where to find good affiliates and how to manage them on the back end? This episode is for you!  Today we're diving into all things affiliate marketing for your subscription box business. I'll explain how affiliate marketing can significantly boost your revenue, expand your customer base, and strengthen your subscription box brand.  Affiliate marketing is a performance-based marketing strategy where brands reward individuals (affiliates) for marketing or driving traffic and sales to their services or products, including subscription boxes. This type of marketing is a win/win for both the brand and the affiliate.  Wondering how affiliate marketing works?  A subscription box owner creates an incentive (one-time or recurring) and generates specific links or codes for each affiliate to allow for accurate tracking. Each affiliate promotes that subscription box owner's box on their own platforms to their own audiences. For every action taken (i.e., subscribing) the affiliate is paid the incentive.  To get started:  Identify what makes a good affiliate for your brand Clearly define your ideal customer and niche and use affiliates who have the same person in their audience.  Make sure any potential affiliate aligns with your beliefs and morals.  Finding potential affiliates Start with your subscribers - do any of them already have a following?  Look at influencers who have the same ideal customer - bloggers, YouTubers, TikTokers, other content creators.  Follow them, like and comment on their content, start building a relationship before approaching them about being an affiliate.  Build an affiliate program that is a win/win for both parties Define your commission structure. Options include:  Recurring revenue share - what % of your profit?  One time payment upon sign up.  Set up affiliate software - I use Affiliately - and set up a payment schedule.  Create assets for affiliates - make it easy for them to promote! One of the most dangerous things we can do is hide our vulnerabilities instead of bringing them into the light. Sometimes the patterns we defend are the very patterns God is trying to expose. Anger. Pride. Fear. Resentment. Justification. We can become so accustomed to unhealthy behavior that we don't even recognize it anymore—especially when it was part of the environment we grew up in. The real question isn't, “Am I better than I used to be?” It's: “Am I representing Christ in the way I respond today?” Don't let pride, fear, or the desire to appear strong keep you from confronting what's happening inside your heart. Pray for God to open your eyes. Ask Him to expose the agreements, wounds, and patterns that you've normalized. Then have the courage to surrender them. True strength isn't pretending you have no weaknesses. Was Jesus incorrect when He was sharing the Parable of the Mustard Seed that is recorded in Matthew 13:31-32? He claims that the mustard seed is the smallest of all the seeds and that it will grow into a tree that is larger than all the plants. But though the seed is indeed quite small, it will only grow to a tree about eight feet tall. Is this an error in the Bible? Or is there a reasonable explanation as to why Jesus said this? If you're faithful with little, God can trust you with much. But growth requires more than wanting the next level—it requires obedience, courage, and consistent action. Sometimes God will ask you to do something beyond your current ability and beyond your current identity. That's where growth happens. You may not know how to do it. You may feel unqualified. You may want to procrastinate or run. But faith says, “I don't know how yet, but I'll figure it out.” The next level may require your current identity to die so God can develop something greater in you. Whatever God is asking you to do, don't hide from it. Be faithful. Be deliberate. Be consistent. Keep obeying. Your obedience may be the key that unlocks what comes next. I wanted to share some important health information about plastic containers. New research shows that tiny pieces of plastic — called microplastics — may be getting into our bodies more than most people realize. What Are Microplastics? Microplastics are very small plastic pieces, usually smaller than a pencil eraser. They break off from larger plastics over time. Scientists have found these particles in human blood, lungs, liver, and even in unborn babies. This means most people are already being exposed. How Do They Get Into Our Bodies? Plastic food and drink containers are one of the main sources. When plastic containers get scratched, worn out, or heated up, they can release tiny particles into your food or drink. Bottled water and packaged foods are also common sources. Plastics also contain added chemicals — like phthalates and bisphenols — that can leak into what you eat and drink. Why Does It Matter? Scientists are still learning how harmful microplastics really are, but early studies suggest they may cause inflammation, cell damage, and problems with the immune system. Some research also points to possible links with heart disease and reproductive health. Most experts agree that more studies are needed before we fully understand the risks. What Can You Do? The good news is there are simple steps you can take to lower your exposure: Switch to glass, stainless steel, or ceramic containers when you can Never microwave food in plastic — heat causes plastic to release more particles and chemicals Use a reusable stainless - steel water bottle instead of single - use plastic bottles Cut back on bottled water Try to buy food with less plastic packaging Throw away old or scratched plastic containers Dust and vacuum your home regularly — microplastics can float in the air too You probably can't avoid microplastics completely, but these small changes can make a real difference while scientists continue to study the long - term effects."
