How long was Jesus really in the tomb? It's one of the most asked—and debated—questions in Christian circles. Was it truly three days and three nights? In this episode, Michael Lane digs into the cultural context of the time, examines what Jesus Himself said, and looks closely at what the Bible teaches. There's more to the timeline than meets the eye—don't miss this fascinating discussion or the video for context and visuals!CREDITS: Developed & Hosted by Michael Lane. If you have children, you've probably thought at some point, “Am I a good parent?”   It's natural to question our own abilities sometimes. Do I spend enough time with my kids? Do they feel safe? Do they feel loved? Are they comfortable talking with me about anything that's going on in their life?   My kids are adults now. When I think back to when they were growing up, there are things I would have done differently if I knew back then what I know now. But that's not really fair though. I know I did the best I could at the time. And they still turned out to be great adults and I'm really proud of them.   My guest today is Naseem. She has 3 kids. And there was a time when she found herself wondering about how she was doing as a parent. Wondering if her children knew how much she loved them.   It's interesting the thoughts that come into your head, when you're being run over by a car.   Naseem's book, The Unexpected Benefits of Being Run Over: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BW3LK86X/   If you'd like to contact Nassem, you can do that through her website: https://LifeUnbreakable.com   Naseem's Instagram: https://Instagram.com/nasrocs   Full show notes and pictures for this episode are here: https://WhatWasThatLike.com/224   Graphics for this episode by Bob Bretz. It's the Humankind 100 rankings. Here is an overview of them from their website. “The Humankind 100 celebrates the one hundred U.S. public companies with the highest Humankind Values. We believe these companies consistently work to create large amounts of value, not just for their investors, but for humanity at large. The Humankind 100 companies are ranked based on Humankind Value, a proprietary metric that provides an estimate of the overall dollar amount a company creates for investors, consumers, employees, and society at large, and are therefore among the most ethical companies in the United States, according to our research.” End quotes. Their top 5 companies are Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL), Eli Lilly & Company (1LLY.MI), Johnson & Johnson (JNJ), AbbVie Inc. (ABBV), and Pfizer Inc. (PFE). ------------------------------------------------------------- Infrastructure Stocks To Consider - July 12th This second article features a sector favoured by many ethical and sustainable investors. Here are some quotes by Farmonaut on each of their picks. “1. Albemarle Corporation (NYSE: ALB) headquartered in the USA, is the world's largest lithium producer… With operations spanning North America, South America, and Australia, Albemarle boasts: Diversified extraction & processing operations, including high-margin lithium brine and hard rock mining projects Ongoing investments to expand production capacity in Nevada (USA), Chile, and Australia A resilient supply chain and ability to scale output to meet global demand Strategic partnerships with leading EV battery makers Strong commitment to sustainable mining and ESG practices Albemarle's scale, geographic diversification, and innovation position it as one of the best performing mining stocks of 2025. 2. Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile (or SQM) (NYSE: SQM) is South America's lithium market leader. Based in Santiago, Chile, SQM boasts some of the world's largest and lowest-cost lithium brine operations situated in the renowned Lithium Triangle (Chile, Argentina, Bolivia): Extensive lithium reserves & robust extraction technology, delivering high efficiency Geopolitical stability—Chile enjoys a relatively favorable mining regulatory environment compared to other regions Cost-effective production enables SQM to remain highly profitable even as competition heats up Continuous expansion to satisfy increasing global lithium demand for EV batteries and storage solutions Environmental sustainability programs, making SQM attractive for ESG-focused investors SQM competitive positioning ensures it remains a top choice in the best lithium mining stocks to buy for 2025. 3. Livent Corporation (NYSE: LTHM) distinguishes itself by focusing on high-purity lithium chemicals for next-generation battery technologies. With operations in the United States, Argentina, and China, Livent stands out for: Supplying premium lithium hydroxide and carbonate solutions for advanced battery manufacturers Strong partnerships with key players in the EV battery chain, including Tesla Expansion projects in Argentina and the U.S., boosting 2025 production capacity and flexibility ESG and sustainability initiatives for responsible lithium extraction Livent is uniquely positioned for specialty market growth, making it one of the best lithium mining stocks for investors eyeing niche applications and supply chain integration. 4. Piedmont Lithium (NASDAQ: PLL) though a smaller player, it has become a rising star by focusing on high-quality spodumene reserves in the United States—especially in North Carolina's Carolina Tin-Spodumene Belt. Piedmont brings: Strategic U.S. supply source—critical for domestic battery manufacturers and government-led supply chain diversification Fast-tracked expansion projects supported by U.S. regulatory incentives and EV adoption targets Potential to benefit from blockchain-based traceability in mining—enhancing transparency for institutional investors Growing interest from global automakers and battery companies seeking secure lithium supply Piedmont's agility and domestic positioning could mean outsized growth as U.S. policy emphasizes onshoring critical battery mineral chains.” End quotes. ------------------------------------------------------------- 5 Artificial Intelligence (AI) Infrastructure Stocks Powering the Next Wave of Innovations Now, like most investors, you probably are invested in AI stocks, either directly or via funds. Hence, this next article 5 Artificial Intelligence (AI) Infrastructure Stocks Powering the Next Wave of Innovations, should interest you. It's by Justin Pope and found on fool.com. Here is some of what Mr. Pope says about his picks. “1. Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) The company has maintained its winning position as it progressed from its previous Hopper architecture to its current Blackwell chips, and it expects to launch its next-generation architecture, with a CPU called Vera and a GPU called Rubin, next year. Analysts expect Nvidia's revenue to grow to $200 billion this year and $251 billion in 2026.  2. Amazon (AMZN) Web Services (AWS) has long been the world's leading cloud platform, with about 30% of the cloud infrastructure market today. Through the cloud, companies can access and deploy AI agents, models, and other software throughout their businesses. 3. Microsoft (MSFT) Its Azure is the world's second-largest cloud platform, with a market share of approximately 21%. Microsoft stands out from the pack for its deep ties with millions of corporate clients. 4. Arista Networks (ANET) sells high-end networking switches and software that help accomplish this. The company has already thrived in this golden age of data centers, with top clients including Microsoft and Meta Platforms, which happen to also be among the highest spenders on AI infrastructure. 5. Broadcom (AVGO) which specializes in designing semiconductors used for networking applications. For example, Arista Networks utilizes Broadcom's Tomahawk and Jericho silicon in the networking switches it builds for data centers. Broadcom's AI-related semiconductor sales increased by 46% year-over-year in the second quarter.” End quotes. ------------------------------------------------------------- Ethical Companies To Invest In 2025 (ECL, MSFT, UNFI) The final reviewed article for this podcast episode is titled Ethical Companies To Invest In 2025 (ECL, MSFT, UNFI) and was written by the Analyst Team and seen on asktraders.com. Now a few quotes from the article by the Team. “1. Ecolab (ECL) a global leader in water, hygiene, and infection prevention solutions, presents a straightforward ethical narrative. Its products and services help businesses reduce water consumption, improve hygiene standards, and prevent infections, contributing directly to public health and environmental protection… Analyst ratings remain in line with current pricing, with Wells Fargo & Company reiterating a price target of $260.00 in May 2025. With the Ecolab stock price having gained 14% since the start of the year, the company has managed to outperform the market on the period whilst holding true to it's ethical standing. While its dividend yield of approximately 1.1% is slightly higher than others on the list, its P/E ratio of around 38x indicates a similar valuation based on future earnings potential. 2. Microsoft (MSFT) presents a complex ethical profile. On one hand, its commitment to carbon neutrality, investments in renewable energy, and initiatives to bridge the digital divide are commendable… The stock's impressive 20% YTD return and a consensus analyst price target of $475 reflect market confidence in its financial stability and future growth, primarily driven by its cloud and AI segments, making it one to keep on shortlists… While Microsoft offers a modest dividend yield of around 0.7%, its high P/E ratio of approximately 36x suggests a premium valuation reflecting its growth potential rather than a focus on immediate shareholder returns. The company's low debt-to-equity ratio underscores its financial strength, allowing it to invest heavily in research and development and pursue ambitious sustainability goals. 3. United Natural Foods (UNFI) stock has pulled back ~15% this year, although remains firmly higher over the past 12 months, with a gain of more than 70%. The company, a leading distributor of natural, organic, and specialty foods, presents the most challenging investment case with the recent cyber incident causing a sharp pullback in the stock. This could in fact be an opportunity… Unlike Microsoft and Ecolab, United Natural Foods does not offer a dividend, reflecting its current financial constraints. Its low P/E ratio of around 8x suggests a deeply discounted valuation, reflecting the market's skepticism about its turnaround prospects. Recent earnings on July 16 beat expectations, however, and the stock is on the move with an 8% gain immediately off the back.” End quotes. ------------------------------------------------------------- More articles of interest from around the world for ethical and sustainable investors 1. BRING IRISH & CELTIC MUSIC TO THE WORLD FOR 20 YEARS On July 28, 2005, I released the very first episode of the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast. This was not my first podcast. There were four others that I released first. All of them are still available to this day. Though one podfaded. When I started, I was publishing the Celtic Music Magazine every week. I started podcasting to promote Celtic bands, but mostly I wanted to promote my own band, Brobdingnagian Bards. It was a new and exciting way to get my music heard. But something happened along the way. It became less and less about my band and more about how I could help bands be heard. And it worked. In fact, I featured a total of 79 Celtic bands in the months that followed in 2005. That includes Brobdingnagian Bards and my Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers project. Here are some of the bands who were featured. 1: Susan Hamlin, Three Quarter Ale, Dust Rhinos, Cluan, Fathom, The BorderCollies, Tara's Fire, Paul McKenna, Marc Gunn & The Dubliners' Tabby Cats, Brobdingnagian Bards 2: StoneRing, The Slip, Hugh Morrison, Caladh, MacTalla Mor, Lenahan, The Bloody Irish Boys, Vicki Swan & Jonny Dyer, Celtic Stone 3: The Barley Boys, Contea, Queen's Gambit, Highland Fling, Michael Murphy and the River Shannon Band, Amadan, Raymond McCullough, Bow Triplets, The Rogues 4: The Irish Experience, Cairde na Gael, The Black Irish, Avalon Rising, Heather Gilmer and Jeff Moore, Sarah Dinan, Bedlam Bards, Emerald Rose, Kristen Roger, Heather Dale, Serious Kitchen, Empty Hats 5: Rise, Ed Miller, Tullamore, Paisley Close, Cantiga, Thomas "Doc" Grauzer, Cady Finlayson, Rimbo, Don Grieve, Black 47 6: Moch Pryderi, Enter the Haggis, The Patched Hats, Seelie Court, Eric Benson with The Boatrights, Ali Benson, 3 Pints Gone, Sligo Rags, Angel's Share 7: The Tea Merchants, Keltic Kaleidoscope, Brothers 3, EJ Jones, Shays Rebellion, Marc Gunn 8: Niamh Parsons, Flook, Willie McCulloch, Gan Fidil, Pol Mac Adaim, The Elders 9: Tears for Beers, Clandestine, Stonering, Athas, Carl Peterson You can see the full list on the website. Many of these artists are no longer performing. What's more interesting is that about a quarter of these artists are still making new music to this day. Today, I will highlight some of the amazing Celtic bands that are still performing after 15 - 20 years. I started my list with three perennial favorites of mine who've been on the show for a long time and are still performing: Poitin, Ed Miller, and The Gothard Sisters. Admittedly, The Gothard Sisters were a late addition to the show, coming on in 2010. But of all the bands, they are to me a shining beacon of this podcast. Because you can see them grow and develop as musicians and songwriters over the course of this show. So I had to include them. THANK YOU PATRONS OF THE PODCAST! In an ideal world, children should be able to trust their parents. After all, it's the grown-ups in the family who are responsible for the kids. No child should ever have to worry about safety when mom and dad are around for protection - in an ideal world.   That's the world Ross thought he was living in when he was 8 years old, with his older brother Ryan, who was 10. They were happy kids with no reason to be afraid. Until one night at their home in Charlotte, North Carolina, when his mother told his father she wanted a divorce. That's when something snapped in Ross's dad's mind, and he got a gun, and forever changed the history of their family.   This is a Flashback episode. Ross was 21 when we first had this conversation, and he's permanently blind. At the time, he was training to swim in the Summer 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo.   Now he's 27, and I spoke with him again recently, so you'll be able to learn what's happened in his life since he originally appeared on the podcast, and what his plans are for the future. Inspired by the ideals of liberty and self - determination that fueled the American and French Revolutions, ordinary Irish men and women rose up against British rule—hoping to shape a freer, more equal Ireland. The United Irishmen, a movement of Protestants and Catholics alike, dreamed of unity. But their rebellion was met with brutal force. The most haunting chapter came to a head on Vinegar Hill, where rebels made their last stand. Though the 1798 Rebellion was crushed, the spirit behind it lived on. It became a quiet current beneath Irish history, resurfacing again in 1916 during the Easter Rising—and carrying through to modern Ireland. Today's episode features songs and tunes inspired by the 1798 rebellion. These are songs of hope, defiance, heartbreak, and memory. This episode is not about blame. They're about telling the stories of those who dared to dream of freedom. GET AN IRISH & CELTIC MUSIC PODCAST ALBUM PIN Want to wear your love of Celtic music? Eric Parrow is a real estate investor and entrepreneur. As the son of a missionary, he spent a decade of his childhood on the Spanish island of Tenerife, the largest of the seven Canary Islands, located off the coast of Morocco. When he was 14, they settled in Oklahoma, where he has lived ever since. Between the ages of 14 and 17, he assisted his parents in building their own home from a set of blueprints and a truckload of steel studs, purlins, c-channel, and other metal parts. He spent countless hours in the heat assembling the pieces with a screw gun, honing his skills in construction and rehab projects.A few years later, he bought his own home and began his journey as a self-employed real estate investor. After working for a decade in IT as a Network Admin, and Web and Graphics designer,  he became a landlord at the end of 2008, just as the market was crashing, by converting his first home into a rental property. This allowed him to avoid losing equity and gain experience as a landlord. After nearly a decade of acquiring only one or two properties at a time “on the side”, he made a concerted effort to expand his business in 2015. However, he found a lack of strong cashflow producing deals in the Oklahoma City market, so he turned his attention to the Pensacola, Florida market. In 2019, he refocused on the Oklahoma City Metro market and used a modified version of the BRRRR strategy to retire from his day job as an IT Network Administrator at a Toyota owned subsidiary in November of that year. He continued to push his goals, made it through 2020 and 2021 without a single eviction, more than doubled his holdings in 2021 and grew by 60% in 2022. In this episode, we discussed his journey through life, real estate, investing, and building his freedom!Hope you all enjoy this episode… KEEPGOING!Follow Eric:FB- https://www.facebook.com/share/1BAkZhJZcK/?mibextid=wwXIfrIG- https://www.instagram.com/ericsadventure?igsh=MXZyYng4MmV4YTlvcA==Follow me:IG- https://www.instagram.com/zdsellsokc/FB- https://www.facebook.com/ZDsellsOKC/

In this episode, explore three ways NREL researchers are seeking out energy solutions:  An experiment dubbed “No Photon Left Behind” examined if growing tomatoes under the filtered light spectrum of a semitransparent photovoltaic panels would make them grow faster, bigger, and tastier.  The BOTTLE consortium at NREL released a paper recently that looked at new methods for recycling carbon fiber composites, the high-strength, low weight materials made from epoxy-amine resins that encase long carbon fibers and form a stiff material found in many consumer products like bicycles, planes, and cars.  NREL researchers are using an advanced imaging tool called x-ray nanoscale computed tomography imaging – or nano-C-T imaging, to analyze batteries at the end of their useful life and reveal hidden flaws that give us insights into how battery materials change during its life. This episode was hosted by Kerrin Jeromin and Taylor Mankle, written and produced by Allison Montroy, Hannah Halusker, and Kaitlyn Stottler, and edited by Taylor Mankle, Joe DelNero, and Brittany Falch. An album pin is a lapel pin with artwork inspired by a specific album or song from an album. It could be the actual album artwork or it could be inspired by a specific track on the album. The best album pins stand out on their own. They appeal to more than just your fans. It is simple, bold, and visually engaging. However, what truly makes it an “album pin” is that the purchaser also gets a digital album with their pin. I have an entire blog on my website with details including templates for you to make your own album pin jacket. THANK YOU PATRONS OF THE PODCAST!

What do heart attacks, car accidents, and murder usually have in common? Most of the time, when any of these things happen, someone calls 911.   It's one of the most reliable things we have – whenever there's any kind of emergency, here in the US, we know we can just pick up any phone and dial 911 and get help. Even if it's a phone that has no service.   This is an episode where I talk with someone who has an unusual job. My guest today is Brandon, and he's been a 911 dispatcher in Nashville, Tennessee for 25 years. After taking emergency calls for all that time, he's heard just about everything. And today we'll get the inside scoop on what this job is really like.   Also, a content warning – one of the things discussed during our conversation is when calls come in from people who are suicidal.   So please, enjoy my conversation with Brandon.   If you'd like to contact Brandon or check out his podcast: https://musiccity911.com/   Full show notes and pictures for this episode are here: https://WhatWasThatLike.com/221   Graphics for this episode by Bob Bretz.
