As 2025 comes to a close and we walk into 2026 we can plans and resolutions, but even more how do we align ourselves with God's vision and purpose for our lives. We can make a plan but God orders our steps. In this sermon Pastor Frank gives us practical steps to develop a godly vision for our lives.
Christmas is usually presented as a season for people who have it together—full houses, happy endings, and neatly wrapped joy. But the story we're given in Scripture tells a different truth. In this Christmas Eve message, we meet a God who comes not for the successful, but for the weary… not for the confident, but for the fearful… not for the winners, but for those who feel like life hasn't worked out the way they hoped. Through the words of Isaiah, the promise of the angels, and the story behind A Charlie Brown Christmas, we'll see how God's good news meets us in our disappointment, loosens our grip on false security, and gives us a gift we never thought could really be for us. This is the good news of great joy—for losers like us. "Faith doesn't make suffering disappear—it just means suffering doesn't get the last word." "Life keeps handing us empty boxes." "Sure, it's the same gift He gave you last year—but it's still the best."
Pastor Frank Switzer of Redemption Arcadia Church returns for a thoughtful and grounded conversation on the true meaning of Christmas. While the season is meant to be marked by joy, celebration, and hope, it is also a time when many experience profound sorrow, with loneliness, divorce, and suicide rates rising sharply. Frank challenges us to reflect on how pride, distraction, and the pressures of the world pull us away from the heart of the season. In this discussion, he explores how humility, grace, and intentional faith can insulate our families, our relationships, and our own souls from the chaos of politics, cultural conflict, and spiritual drift. With wisdom and clarity, Pastor Switzer points us back to the miracle that changed the world 2,000 years ago and reminds us why Christmas still matters—for believers and seekers alike. Through his own journey of walking through seasons of lack and seasons of abundance, he reminds us that neither wealth nor poverty defines who we are, only Christ does. This message challenges us to look beyond our earthly circumstances and fix our eyes on eternal rewards. No matter where we stand financially, we're called to persevere through every trial, trusting that God is shaping our character and preparing a crown of life for those who love Him.Our true worth isn't found in what we have, but in who we belong to.The Gathering Church is located in Midland, Texas. You can watch our live worship experience online at mygathering.liveVisit our website at https://www.mygathering.churchConnect with us on Social Mediahttps://facebook.com/mgatheringhttps://Instagram.com/mygatheringhttps://Twitter.com/mygatheringGOD | COMMUNITY | PURPOSE

“Not Today, Pastor Pushy” (Acts 19:1–7) Ever been told you're “not spiritual enough”? That you just need to feel it more, cry harder, or speak in tongues to prove you've got the Holy Spirit? Yeah… same. This week's message by Pastor Frank is about what it really means to be baptized in the name of Jesus— and how the Holy Spirit isn't something you earn by emotional gymnastics.
Matthew 5:33-48
In our journey of faith, we often face trials that test our resolve and challenge our understanding of God's love.Today's message with Pastor Frank delves into James 1:2-4, reminding us to find joy in our trials, not because they're pleasant, but because they're purposeful. These challenges aren't punishments; they're opportunities for growth. Like a runner pushing through the wall in a marathon, we're called to let perseverance finish its work in us. This perspective shift can transform our approach to hardship, helping us see beyond immediate pain to the character and faith being built within us. As we embrace this truth, we become living testimonies, showing the world a joy and peace that transcends circumstances. This isn't just about individual growth; it's about becoming a church that doesn't quit when life gets hard, supporting each other through trials and shining Christ's light even brighter in dark times. The Gathering Church is located in Midland, Texas.
